We visited this place on our last day on Paris trip and it did the closure in the most perfect way. The ambience was casual but trendy. We ordered two Moke bowls and they were beyond our expectations ...I also ordered the fresh juice and to top our meal of a creme brulee did the trick ... If I will have extra money I can go back to Paris just to eat at this place .. My kids ate pizza and gobbled a 12 inch Pizza with a blink of an eye .. and their restroom .. boy oh boy .. I saw a lot of reviews that raved about Mokus l'Ecureuil so we stopped by for a late lunch. It was pretty busy when we stopped by, but we didn't have to wait. There was ample seating both inside and outside. We were greeted quickly and offered English menus, which helped a lot. I ordered the Diavola pizza and my husband ordered a the Frenchy Burger. The pizza was really good, but the middle was very soggy. I probably wouldn't have payed much attention to it had I not been juggling a baby, but it was pretty difficult to navigate with one free hand. I eventually got to the point of just ripping pieces to eat instead of attempting to cut slices or eating it with a fork and knife. My husband said wasn't crazy about his burger, but he ate it pretty quickly, so I'll let that speak for itself. At the end he ordered a brownie sundae (I can't remember the name), which was amazing! I ordered the pistachio crème brûlée, it was good, but I wouldn't make a special trip for it. Finally it you stop by check out the bathroom situation. Wow! Good thin crust pizza! I was able to customize minus cheese & they did a great job accommodating my requests (I added onions & mushrooms). I only wished they cooked the pizza with the mushrooms on it but oh well, it went down the same. The unexpected wow factor was their spicy olive oil, it was great to dip the crust into. My friend got the cheese bread off the appetizer menu & it too didn't disappoint. Great gem to stumble upon. read more

They got us a seat right out front so we could people watch everyone enjoying a night out in Paris. the white pizza was *AMAZING* Plus they had live music going on which made the place, on top of the decor, one of our highlights in Paris. We met an American couple there who said they go to Mokus every time they are in Paris - and so will we! AND WITHIN WALKING DISTANCE OF AN EXTRAORDINARY VIEW OF THE EIFFEL TOWER... My lady and I dined there, had desert at Carrette (see my other review) and then sauntered right across the street for a BREATHTAKING view of the Eiffel Tower. After a long day of exploring Paris, we were starving and wanted to see Eiffel Tower at night. This was the only reasonably priced place near Tocadero. Service was good, but the Pizza on the other hand wasn't that great. A freind thought it was gluten free, because the dough had no crisp at all. The dough was very bland too. The other issue was the place was too hot. They had the heat on and it felt like we were being baked together with the pizza. It appears to be a popular handout spot amongst local teens, but don't worry French teens act like civilized adults. It's just that this is the type of place you don't expect to get wonderful food. Coming from a life in a restaurant and never having tired of eating pizza at my parents' restaurant, I meet other restaurants' pizza with a healthy amount of apprehension. My husband had a Pizza Melanzane (with grilled eggplant slices) and of course, I had a slice. The dough was excellent all the way down to the border. Great choice of cheese and the tomato sauce had just the right mixture of herbs, salt, oil and acidity. The amount of times I have had over sweet or overly acid tomato sauce, I can't tell you. I had a need of a dish low on carbs. I chose a burrata with grilled vegetables. The burrata is per usual so creamy and fresh that it was oozing into the perfectly grilled slices of zucchini and eggplant. The dish comes without bread. A couple of slices of a fresh focaccia which would have been a perfect addition to the burrata, dear Mokus-team! Luckily my dear husband didn't eat all the pizza slice borders (whatever those are called in English). This was such a beautiful finale to our awesome day in Paris thank you, Mokus. read more

I thought that this place was actually really good. The crowd here is young. Appeared to definitely be a hangout spot for local Parisians. The menu had a lot to offer which was really nice. I went with the cheeseburger and lets just say that I was not disappointed. In fact I thought it was really good. This place does get packed and it is not the type of place you'd end up lounging at for long. The tables are tight and theres not much space but I am a New Yorker so that is nothing new for me. I did get the vibe that they want people out which isn't always the best feeling but there is nothing you can really do. If you are really looking to be here for awhile you may want to go somewhere else. Overall good food, descent service. I really cant complain. I'd recommend! read more

Pretty good pizza place we found randomly walking down the street. The decor inside was very nice. The waiters were attentive with us. The appetizer came out at the same time as the pizza. Both were really delicious. We had the buffalo mozzarella with tomatoes and basil as an appetizer. We also shared a pizza with red sauce that had mushrooms and ham. Both were very flavorful! My daughter wanted to grab some dessert on our walk back to the hotel so we stopped in and we're sat immediately. The waitress asked if we were ready, and as we began ordering our desserts she told us they can't do just desserts and coffees. Mokus is a delightful pizza place located just walking distance from some of Paris' most fantastic sight, including he Eiffel Tower. We intended on getting something light to eat to mark our arrival to this beautiful city and somehow we ended up here. The decor is fun and modern with neon lights and friendly English-Speaking staff. We opted to order light to see what other foods we could sample on our first night in Paris, but the serving sizes were tremendous and absolutely delicious! I highly recommend his as an introduction to Paris' dining scene. It's casual, affordable, fresh, plentiful, and most importantly... DELICIOUS! It may not be traditional French fare, but it satisfied he American in us but also reminded us that something as simple as pizza can be classy in he right setting! read more

Our first meal in Paris was quite fabulous!! We chose this restaurant due to its proximity to the Trocadero (THE BEST VIEW of the Eiffel Tower!!) we were seated quickly (but the table given for our group of 3 was a bit small!) I ordered one of the pressed juices (so refreshing) and my sister got wine. We ordered the burrata and veggie pizzas (2 pizzas for 3 people - we found it plenty). My friend and I was just visiting Paris for the weekend when we go t a off a metro station and decided that we wanted to grab some lunch. We weren't sure if we wanted to go out for French or Italian or whatever so we just decided to get some pizza at this place with the sign "Mokus" in red neon lights. The place had a nice atmosphere. The interior design made it look like classic family place/bar/pizza place, which I really liked. I really liked their pizza, especially their pizza that had mushroom sauce on it instead of tomato sauce. I really loved it, I devoured each flavourful slice which delight. I would definitely come back to try their other flavours. The only thing I noticed was that their gelato was too big and after awhile I did not enjoy it anymore. We walked up to the restaurant, and it looked very nice and trendy inside. The host/waitress happily sat us inside, she spoke perfect english and didn't have a french accent. Once she took our order she instantly frowned and walked away. I noticed this but didn't think much of it. A few minutes later she returned and told us, "This is awkward but you didn't order enough, so can you order more. And my manager is upset I sat you and you guys aren't ordering more. We have a lot of people who want to come in and eat and you guys aren't ordering enough"... We ordered 4 cocktails and a pizza, but apparently it wasn't enough. We sat at the bar since it was a busy Saturday evening, each had a pizza and a glass of red wine - total was $36 euro. They could have charged us more since the pizza was so delicious. We visited the place in September 2015, I was with my wife and kid in a stroller. The waitress met us at the doors and my wife asked if it's possible to sit at the big table near the windows. The waitress refused, saying that it was for a big company and walked us to a little table for 2. We kindly asked if we can be seated on the 4 persons table with 2 sofas, so that our baby can sit with us and play, but the waitress (young guy in glasses) refused even though not a single of these table was occupied (total 4 of them in the place). I approached manager who mumbled something but said that "I can change the decision you may sit". Even though the mood was a bit broken, we occupied our table and ask for a baby chair. We needed to ask twice for it since the waitress managed to forget about it (not about the drinks we ordered). When we asked if there is a wifi, another waitress said that it's not working. Just double checking I managed to login with the place name as a password and everything was working. Despite the good food - never again. read more

We were super sad that we found this restaurant on our last day in Paris, as it was our favorite restaurant by far, and we definitely would have gone again if we had found it at the beginning of the week. The pizza was AMAZING!!! The chef Mateo was so entertaining. The place was very busy when we stepped in and we were sat at the bar. He sat right in front of the chiefs. Mateo was flipping the pizza crust all over and took great care of us. They make a great Cosmopolitan if you like martinis. I wish they had a place like this back home.
