I asked the store, Intuition Optical, the business attached to Dr. Molina's Optometrist office, to provide me with new frames for my new lenses prescription. I paid everything up front on March 10 and my insurance, VSP, was immediately billed for the frames and lenses but not the eye exam. Intuition Optical DID NOT ask me to be their customer. I chose to do business with them. Why is this important, because they never promised to treat me with professionalism; they never promised to treat me with integrity; and they absolutely did not promise that they would be honest with me. Through the end of March and after several excuses of your frame and lenses are "in process," I had VSP Insurance contact the lab to see if my frames had been received: no my frames had not been received. At the end of March and beginning of April, I had to remind myself that I chose Intuition Optical. No, I cannot get my money back. I am stuck. On April 13, 2026, VSP Insurance called Intuition Optical and had been assured that my frames had been sent to the lab. On Thursday, April 16, 2026, VSP Insurance contacted the lab again; the lab confirmed that my frames have not been received. This business, Intuition Optical, had no intention of sending my frames to the lab. It had always been the intention that the lab would send my prescription lenses to Intuition Optical and they would cut the lenses to fit my frames. On April 16, Intuition Optical confirmed that the lab would send my lenses "overnight" and should arrive at Intuition Optical on April 17. For now, my new prescription glasses are still in "process" after five weeks. April 28, seven weeks later, my glasses are ready. VSP Insurance has still not been billed for my eye exam which is very unusual. VSP told me to contact Medicare. Medicare told me to monitor my account for claim forms from Dr. Molina's office. Is Dr. Molina's office completely incompetent? Absolutely, and for the next four months I will be monitoring my accounts with VSP and Medicare. No professionalism, no integrity, and no honesty. Run! One star is more than they deserve. From the very beginning, we experienced chaos, confusion and Double talk from the front office, about how long the glasses would take to be made. Two to three weeks, Naomi said. It has been five weeks, with very dishonest answers about WHEN they will be ready. They have never given us a straight answer, much less CALLED US BACK every time we called them. Naomi, and the woman next door at Intuition Optical (how did they get involved?) have told us "the snow in Iowa has interfered with your glasses being made." That is an irrational statement. The U.S. Mail (I checked with the Alamogordo Postmaster) tells us that there have been NO delays in mail service between Iowa and New Mexico. After reading the reviews, and asking friends about Dr. Molina's staff....the love him as a Doctor, but HATE the incompetent front office staff, for their dishonesty. We will never go back. My review for Dr. Molina is only for him and not the attached optical store. These are two separate offices, 2 separate sides. Having established that, Dr. Molina is a great doctor. This is my first time taking my grandson for an exam. He has really great energy. The receptionist is also very friendly. If you notice the reviews that are unhappy, they are speaking about the other office. You are not forced to get your prescription filled from the other side. If the reviews concern you for filling your prescription, you can always go elsewhere, I do recommend Dr. Molina as an Optometrist. read more

I would give 0 stars if possible. This is the most horrible business I have ever dealt with. I waited three months while being told that my glasses were on their way before speaking to them in person. At that point I found out they never even ordered them. My wife's glasses came in where she couldn't see through them, so they "said" they would re-order hers and order me another pair and expedite the shipping. Several weeks after that is when I went to speak to them in person finding out mine had never been ordered. Spoke with the person who orders them, her manager and the doctor. They said they would take care of it and here today, 3 1/2 months after my exam, still no glasses for my wife, no glasses for myself. They never call us back, rarely answer the phone and always say "I'll check on them and call you back." Completely unprofessional, never follow through what they say they will do. Molina is a good Doc, Intuition Optical should apologize to the trees for wasting the oxygen they make. I would give less than one star if I could! Waited over 2 months for one pair of glasses and pushing 4 months for the second. Don't waste your time, money or effort at this store, just get your script and drive to Cruces or El Paso and get them. Update. After the last review posted they called me back on 2-6 and said the glasses would be here in 1 week and swore on it. Here it 2 weeks later and still no glasses and I'm online with my insurance company filing a fraud claim. They are with intuition optical and the are use to ripping people off with their "no refund" policy. First red flag. and the staff is rude and never know what they are doing. good luck trying to get your glasses in any timely manner or having questions answered. I had called first asked if they accept Medicaid after calling other optometrists in area. The receptionist assured me yes we do so I came in this morning for my appointment . The receptionist took my card and my drivers license then said everything is set up and I have your insurance we are good. Then I see Dr. Molina which he was very nice after that he gave me my eyeglass prescription. I then went to their optical after being checked out. I picked out a pair and during the process of getting my glasses ordered another woman came up asked the receptionist that helped me was my insurance all good, and she replied yes I checked everything is all taken and we are doing her glasses order now. Then the other receptionist is doing something on her computer and starts telling the other receptionist she is not covered on this and tells me you are going to owe us a hundred dollars. I was floored and said I called first and this receptionist checked me in completed the exam and now you are telling me you made an error? So I then asked, I went to another optometrist before and they never gave me a bill after the fact always before the visit? She said well she did it wrong and your not covered, the other optometrist probably billed medical and we are progressive. In any case I was upset it's bad business and fraudulent to tell someone after the fact. I would have been better off going somewhere else lesson learned however just figured everyone else should be warned and I will be turning them into the BBB and the attorney general for fraud and bad business practice read more

Really bad customer service! They are very rude and don't know how to verify insurance. They will scream and yell at you for trying to help them figure it out, at the end of the day, you are right and they don't know how to do their jobs properly . Never going back there again read more

Dr. Molina is awesome! I brought my 2 year old in for his first eye exam and he usually doesn't do well at doctors offices. But he really liked Dr. Molina. He was very patient with my son and so kind. All of the people that work in his office are very nice too! read more

Wonderful eye doctor who woRks very hard to get the right fitting contacts for me. And that is difficult because I have a very bad astigmatism and poor vision! The ladies in the front, Sammy and Thelma, are wonderful and helped me get the right insurance! Love this place. read more

Dr Molina is fantastic. His staff is warm, friendly, and despite prior reviews, has never mis quoted prices. They have great deals and a decent selection. If you need an eye exam and glasses or contacts this is THE place in Alamogordo to go! read more

This is the worst place to go...i was told the exam for contacts would be 97.00 before i got there...after the exam the receptionist Thelma told me the total was 240...as i explained to her that i did not have that much money and that i was told it would be 97.00 i then told her that i would have to pay for the exam only and nothing else...she then kept on about how she would have never said that it was only 97.00...well i have a witness who knows i was told 97.00...so in the end she yelled at me with customers in the lobby and said i would have to take out those contacts before i could leave....then my check was not filled out to where the bank would take it so she tells my husband i could bring back a check for the exam only and that she would have to tear up the check i left because it was for the wrong amount and not properly filled out...well guess what Thelma filled out my check(forgery)and sent the check to the bank...i am going to the bank and the police department to see what can be done...do not go to this place it is just awful...and they have my money and i have nothing in return not even an eye glass prescription...what a bunch of crooks...then i have been telling people around town what happened and as it turns out this place has a bad reputation...so since i was the newbie in town i got the jacking...won't happen again...so run run while you can.... read more
