This is my first and only negative review on Yelp, which speaks about my very negative experiences with Dr. Molis of Molis Dental (formerly Burr Ridge Dental). I have TMJ/"clicking jaw" and Dr. Molis tried a series of solutions which seemed more like experiments to me. FIrst he sold me a one piece night mouth guard that hurt my jaw even more. When I told him it pulled my lower jaw forward in an unnatural position, he said "yes, it does that". Not sure why he would give that to his patients then. Next he sold me an "NTI" night guard. This attached to my top front teeth and prevented me from grinding at night. However, this changed my bite and my top and bottom teeth no longer aligned. His solution to this was to GRIND MY MOLARS DOWN. I reluctantly agreed which caused my teeth to be sensitive for a few years after that. That was the last time I went to Molis Dental. I still have TMJ and an now have an open bite. My current dentist referred me to an Ortho who recommended I get Invisalign ($2000+) to fix my bite that used to be fine! I would NOT recommend Molis Dental to anyone, unless you want someone selling you expensive mouthguards that will damage your bite. I've been going to this dental office for a very long time. The staff is extremely friendly. The dental hygienists are amazing. Dr. Kasper is very kind. I wouldn't be surprised if he rescues cats from trees on his way home. Renee and Nina (behind the front desk) both rock. I'm not sure if Renee is the office Manager. If she isn't she should be. She is GREAT at her job. She greets everyone by name including me. I've called before and she's recognized my voice. How is this even possible??? It's not like I go in once a month or every week. She makes it a habit to know her customers. I can't even remember what I ate the night before. I brought my daughter here for the first time today. She is 3. This was her first dental visit. Yo she doesn't even brush her teeth without crying. She despises the entire process. We argue every day about the importance of brushing her teeth. I told my daughter if she doesn't brush she will be toothless. Her response to me was "good...I won't have to brush." She had a pleasant experience today so that speaks volume. She didn't cry or anything. I know longer work near or live close to this place. I drive from Schaumburg because I'm happy with the service. My invisalign results are great. He was very flexible in limiting the number of times I had to come in the office due to living over an hour away. Dr. Molis definitely knew what he was doing in regards to Invisalign. He ensured I was happy with my results and made the entire process easy. This guy is very laid back and easy to work with. I first met Dr. Ryan Molis 5 years ago for Invisalign. I was unable to complete the treatment due to some personal circumstances. When I was able to procede I search him out and restarted treatment with him. He is a pleasure to visit, he is super fast and I have never had to wait past my appointment time for him. My teeth are looking great almost done with treatment. I also started seeing him for my primary dental care. I had a cavity filled today which promted me to write this review. He was super fast and made it ... less horrible lol than i remember my last cavity when I was 13. All of his staff is very friendly.... AAAANNNNDDD They will work with you if you don't have dental insurance like myself. I have referrered my boyfriend to him, and many others. I hope you seek him out too! read more

After years of fearing I'll end up with another creepy dentist, who will claim they have ages of experience and end up doing crappy work, I finally met Dr. Ryan...a true professional. A major sigh of relief! Extremely knowledgable, very careful and precise....he fixed all the crappy work my old dentists have made. Great job with my fillings too. His office is very clean, smells good, has great reads, interesting artwork and plays great music too (not boring elevator snoozefest music). Staff is wonderful and work as a team. Renee is always pleasant on the phone and Carolina (dental hygienist) is gentle. Their office is conveniently located off the highway. Overall, I love this place. My husband now goes there, and I would recommend all of my clients, friends and loved ones to do so as well. Also very excited to start my Invisalign soon! Woot! read more

This is my dentist! He should be YOUR dentist too! I refused My HMO dentist and kept a PPO plan when I moved away from this location. Because you stay with good people! Dr. Ryan has picked up the phone to answer any questions I've had during my Invisalign treatment. His staff is always smiling and knows every patient by first name! I now live more than an hour from Molis dental but have no problem traveling to see the team there. Not to mention the spectacular job they did on my teeth! Let's just say my teeth weren't a pretty sight when I first walked into their office. 9 months later and I'm smiling in every picture i take. :) Dr. Ryan is half artist/half surgeon with a lil dentist thrown in there for good measure. Highly recommend Molis Dental. They also just happen to be the top 1% providers of Invisalign (or magic like I call it). read more

After paying nearly $400 for dental work up front plus my insurance coverage I have found out years later that I've been sent to collections. I was told that they only provide estimates for work, and what I paid up front was not towards an actual quote for work. Pretty standard stuff done, just cavities, which is questionable anyway as I'd never had a cavity until I saw him. Another dentist commented that Dr. Molis may be a bit more aggressive in cavity treatment, and did more work than was necessary. So now I've got a collection agency on my credit report, and Molis dental refuses to take payment for the balance due. I would stay away. read more

I travel for a living and Dr Molis has been an incredibly good sport accommodating my hectic scheduling and even shipping me various supplies concerning my Invisalign. The cleanings have been friendly and efficient visits as well. I highly recommend the practice. It's worth noting, in my immediate family there is a MD. I have come to appreciate the quick, well informed, and amiable demeanor of medical practitioners, such as this gentleman. read more

I felt rushed and is if Dr Todd's primary concern was making money. I have since had to get my dental work redone. I now question if the work I had done was ever even necessary. Don't be fooled by his quality surroundings and friendly staff, it's skill, ethics, and compassion that make a good doctor, Molis dental is lacking in all of these areas. read more

Had a meeting to discuss Invisalign. He was arrogant and had just 4 minutes to discuss the procedure. Summed it up: expect 85% straight teeth. Seriously? And his bedside manner leaves a lot to be desired. I couldn't go here if he was offering Invisalign for $500. read more

Ryan Molis is a great dentist. He is really friendly and fun and does a good job. Others say he is rushed, but I find him to just be quick. There's nothing better tan an easy and painless cavity filling. He's such a great guy. You should go to him! read more

Dr. Molis is a total salesman. You go in for one thing and he sells you invisilign. After spending 4500 it still didn't fix what I originally went it for. He DOES NOT TAKE THE TIME TO LISTEN!! Once he has your money you barely see him! I went to two other dentists/ortho that said invisilign does not treat what I wanted. I have never written a negative review, but trust me this is the truth. I have no idea who wrote those positive reviews. Being the top 1% provider means he's just a really good salesman not good. If he was in the medical field he would have already been sued. read more

Dr. Molis, is the worst doctor out there. He is rude and talks about his patients, he rushes you in and out. Get upset when you tell him your teeth are not straight! I would never recommend him to anyone. The girls in the office are nice, Dr. Molis needs to learn how to treat people. read more
