I will NEVER AGAIN hire this AWFUL company!!!! My regular person was unable to clean or home, so we hired Molly Maid. We were scheduled for a mid- morning time slot but they didn't arrive until 3pm!! There was a 2-person team and please tell me why it took 2 people to clean one bathroom at a time. We have 3.5 bathrooms!! The cleaning may be great (I wouldn't know), but the booking and customer service is terrible. I booked two months ago for a cleaning the day before we move across the country. They sent a single text message about a deposit (which I admittedly missed seeing) at the time of booking. Three days ago, I was going to call to confirm the appointment, but that morning I received a text that the cleaning was scheduled and good to go. The text confirmed the arrival window, my address, and said nothing about a missing deposit. I texted this morning to confirm the window, and was told I had no appointment because of the deposit. Why on earth do you send a text confirming the appointment, if the appointment is not actually set and good to go? Incredibly poor customer service and incredibly poor systems in place. read more

They have decent costumer service. You can communicate through text, but that's the only good about this company. The cleaning they do it terrible. I've had them come to my house about 3 times. Every time, I have had them come back to redo cleaning. Toilers were still dirty. They use sour rags to clean the bathroom, then the rooms. They are very unsanitary. Molly Maid cleans my house twice a month. They do an excellent job for a reasonable price.

I hired molly maid to clean my small 1 bed, 1 bath Apt on short notice after the cleaners from Home-a-glow didn't show up. I called on Monday to make an appt and 2 cleaners showed up Tuesday. Two cleaners cost $224 for 2hrs of deep cleaning. The companies deep cleaning doesn't include organizing items, washing dishes, cleaning or wiping the inside of refrigerators or stoves, washing or folding clothes. I also still have a stain in my bathroom floor. $224 is kind of expensive for not washing dishes or cleaning the fridge at least. The cleaning is bare minimum to have 2 cleaners, Mainly just wiped down all surfaces, made the bed and vacuumed. However it still looks clean enough. I give it a 6/10. read more

First, they never showed up for a consultation. Second, I paid for a deep clean and was left with inches of dust in many areas of the house, some places not even touched "she couldn't clean a window bc there was a laundry basket on the floor in front of it... really?!?" For over $400?!? Next when I sent an email j was met with not but insults and excuses, I asked to speak with the employees boss bc I was soo insulted by the lack of professionalism and customer service- never heard anything back. They came back to "clean" only the places they missed (many of which I already had cleaned) only to be left with still areas with dust which I moved an item bc they would just sloppily dust around things, they even missed an area I had emailed them about. I followed back up expressing my disappointment from never hearing from anyone and sent another picture and still to this day never heard back. So I'm here writing, which I've neverrrr done but it disgusts me the way they handled the consultation, the clean, the re-clean and the absolute lack of accountability. Neither me nor my real estate agent will everrrr recommend them again. Overpriced, rude and unprofessional to say the least. read more

The first cleaning will be wonderful. It's down hill from there. I requested that the cleaners wear masks and booties on their shoes. They always forget. They barely speak English which is difficult because it's hard to ask question/explain things because there is a language barrier. The same crew rarely comes. The last visit my floors were left dirty. My feet were dirty after the cleaning so I mopped my small kitchen apartment and the water was filthy for someone to have just cleaned it! They are sending someone to address the floors but it's another inconvenience. I work during the day, M-F and schedule the cleaning around my lunch hours or personal time off. read more

Do not use Molly Maids. While I was not not completely satisfied last time (they had a supervisor come out to redo what the first team missed twice) I decided to give them another chance. Scheduled almost 2 weeks in advance, pre-paid my $50, they were supposed to arrive between 12 and four today. Just got a call at 9:40 AM ( not 8 am, when they open) telling me they were running shorthanded and we're canceling my appointment, not moving it, CANCELLING IT. I said well those things happen, but I arranged my day around this appointment , had someone take off work to accommodate their 4 hour window, so let's get me on for first thing tomorrow. They said since I'm not a recurring customer ( so a one time clean has no value apparently) they can't push anyone back and the next appointment would be a couple of weeks away, I told him that was totally unacceptable they made a commitment and in a situation like this perhaps management should come out and do the job it's called customer service and keeping your word. They refused and then came up with a date one week away instead of on October 20th as I was first told. I asked them why should I believe they will show up then, when they didn't show up today and they had no answer for that. I can only say that they should have fit me in within 48 hours at the longest ,or had some management/ team leads come out and take care of what would be a two hour clean at the very most. They did not care about my inconvenience of arranging my day around them, nor the fact that I had arranged this appointment two weeks ago and secured the date with a $50.00 deposit ( which at least was refunded upon my demand) . My advice to you is do not trust them, do not use them. The total lack of regard for my family's inconvenience and less than poor customer service on a timely reschedule, should not be rewarded. My husband hired them to clean our home as my Mother's Day gift. He was provided an estimate and paid a $50 deposit to hold our date. We were scheduled for a 3 hour deep clean service. T31 team did a very good job with our home. Our problem came with our final receipt. Our receipt had a lower amount than our estimate, yet they charged us the amount in the estimate email. When we called and spoke with customer service and management, they admitted the receipt amount they wrote was incorrect but they did not honor their mistake. The manager was rude and did not provide great customer service. Will not use again only because of the customer service over the phone. read more

Unreliable. Second time they have not shown up in a row when scheduled which then affects my schedule. When called to confirm that they would be arriving, the admin on the phone was rude and basically said it was our fault they didn't come because we did not respond to a text asking if we would like them to come...never received a text asking, but did receive a text stating they would be here. We started Molly Maid in early spring 2023. The first visit went fine. Carmella and Jenny arrived on time and did a great job(team #4) We scheduled another cleaning two weeks hence. We were called sometime in the morning of March 16, 2023, and were told that the team scheduled was taking a personal day, however, another team was sent out, and they (team 13) and also did a good job. On March 30, 2023, we were scheduled again and were informed that they were running behind, and shortly another team showed up about 2 hours later. On April 13 we had another cleaning scheduled and a new team showed up and did just an adequate job. We called the office and informed them that we either want team 4 or team 13. On April 27, in the morning we were called to say our scheduled cleaning was canceled, due to personal issues, with NO attempt to have another team come instead. I called back (the manager and owner were not reachable!). I promptly canceled all services and no payment was allowed. The office staff seemed to not really care, that my wife and I had planned to juggle our schedule for that day. After I called back about 90 minutes later and was informed that they would schedule cleaning for the next day (April 28). I declined because we pushed the appointment to April 28. Very poor reliability and customer service. In today's world, that is just unacceptable. This franchise is just not running very well! read more

Very sad to have to post a negative review. We are expecting our baby at the end of this month and wanted a good deep clean before he comes. We hired Molly Maid- $365 for two people for 3.5 hours. They came when we were at work. They left a checklist of what they did and cleaned. Was the house 'clean'? Yes. But was it a true deep clean for the money we paid? No. We asked them to come back because some things they checked off as clean were obviously not cleaned. When they came back they missed one of the areas again that we asked about. I didn't think it was worth calling them back at that point. As days passed I continuously found areas that should have been cleaned that were not. Scheduled a deep clean and it was awesome! The appliances, window sills, and baseboards look brand new! The bathrooms are sparkling clean! The team started upstairs and worked their way out so there were no foot prints on the freshly vacuumed/mopped floors. Their pace was about 1,000 sqft per hour. They were friendly and finished earlier than the quoted time (which made it less expensive). We will schedule them again! read more

I had scheduled my cleaning with Molly Maid weeks ago - one of the owners came and assessed my apartment saying it wouldn't take more than two hours even with a few special requests. She called me a few days later saying the cleaning was scheduled for 10am and it all sounded great as I wanted to be home to let them in, I am unable to just hand over a key where I live. The day before, I get a call from the company saying my cleaning is scheduled between 2-3pm which I immediately complained about as I had a very important work meeting at 2:30pm, which is why I had scheduled earlier in the day. I asked to speak with the owner who I had originally talked to and they just said she wasn't in the office. After two hours of no response and still an afternoon time, I called the phone number that originally called me and the other owner answered. I explained my situation and they returned my call about an hour later saying I now had a 10:30-11:30am arrival time which they did show up the next day at 11:15. That also did not have the original notes I had given about parking, building access, and what I specifically wanted done around the apartment so that was a hassle and caused a bit more stress on my end. The two cleaners did show up in a Molly Maid car but did not have professional uniforms as the brochure advertised. I'm pretty certain a bright purple sport jacket and jeans are not a typical cleaning uniform. They were very nice ladies though and did do a pretty good job cleaning with many detailed touches. My only complaint with the cleaning is that they ran out of time, it had gotten to be two hours and six minutes and I didn't want to have to pay an extra $75 for another hour of service. This was disappointing as one of the jobs I specifically requested was not completed although the original assessment from the owner said it should be and all of the cleaning shouldn't take more than two hours. Overall the job was well done but the inconvenience and stress of scheduling, uncertain payment, and time makes me somewhat hesitant to use them again. read more

Pros: Dependable. I can expect that my appointment time and day will be respected and It always is. We are a retired couple with a dog and like to vacate when the cleaners come so it is a big deal to us that they're on time. Consistency. They don't constantly switch teams. I like that I have my same crew every time. Communication. They email the day before to remind you of your clean. And if there's ever an issue, someone actually picks up the phone and resolves it ! Quality. My dog sheds a lot and it is a beautiful thing to come home to a hairless house that smells great. Nothing gets broken, which I had with a previous company. They even waxed my furniture! We paid Molly maid for 18 months of service, which amounts to more than 40 cleanings and more than $6,000 in fees. In that time, they damaged more than $2,500 worth of property. Anytime I called to ask why an area of my house wasn't being cleaned (despite them charging me for it), they treated me like an inconvenience. When I reported the damage to my dining table, I was told the owner was too busy to come assess the damage that day. In the meantime, he left me a rude voice message questioning my negative reviews online. He later excused his behavior stating he was frustrated to learn of our discontent in a review online. If he kept better tabs on his business, he wouldn't have been surprised because we'd been vocal about our issues with Molly Maid for months. In a word, Molly Maid of SW Charlotte is unprofessional. From a financial standpoint, a total rip-off. Our long history of trying to make it work ended up costing us more than we imagined. We lost a lot of time and money to Molly Maid of SW CLT and their consistent response was to tell us it wasn't a big deal and it wasn't their fault. read more

Moly Maid, led by Marlene in our case, has been cleaning every two weeks. Work is done quickly but quite well and there certainly is an effort to please. Only issue is higher rates for any cleaning after a suspended (by us) appointment due to our being away for vacation. Suggest that these additional fees be suspended for 2-3 times per year before surcharges are added. Have found that the same amount of time is spent on the appointments following a missed one (partly because the house hasn't been occupied each day). read more
