On 5.02 after shipping never updated, I emailed asking to cancel the order and refund my money if they were not shipping the product. Had a $25 giftcard I purchased for my wife 3 years ago (for xmas). We met my mother at the Mooresville shop on 12/21 who said she LOVED their sele tion, it was her first time visiting. My wife found a t-shirt she wanted an remembered to bring her gift card. To her dismay they refused it and said it expires after 3 years. Lady behind counter calls manager (Amanda the owner) and asks for additional info from me. After waiting 5 to 10 min we find out they will not honor. My mother overheard the conversation after purchasing a few hundred dollars worth of product. Molly Malones lost 2 customers today and will be receiving a full return of the products my mother purchased that day. My customers would never receive this type of service. Clearly the owner cares more about the $25 i spent 3 years ago than the hundreds to thousands she just lost. Spend your money elsewhere people where your dollar is appreciated in these hard times. The store itself is cute and had lots of choices. It was stocked with clothes, had a few pair of shoes, lots of jewelry and accessories and even some bath products and gifts. My issue was that everything in there I've seen in nearly every other store like it in the area. I am a small business owner and my girlfriend was asking for $15 dollars a hour to work with Molly Malones and offered her $12. Absolutely ridiculous my girlfriend is 38 with a degree. Anyone that can't pay there employees what they are worth I would never support! Shame on you with 4 locations. This is no small business. What you pay a extra $200 overhead if a month too have a employee for 3 extra dollars! This is exactly what's wrong with society today. This small chain of stores has some good people working for them, however, their turnover of staff is shockingly high so clearly they have problems retaining quality employees. Absolutely love their products, however, I have had two problems with the owner not following through on promises she made. She was rude and did not empower her employees to address my concerns as they said everything must go through her. I finally found a very helpful employee at one of their other locations that worked with me to do an exchange. read more

This was my first time at Molly's I purchased a blouse on Monday, I went to wear it on Tuesday and on both the sides, the stitching had come undone. I went in on Tuesday afternoon and they accused me of ripping them. Now, I understand the return policy (no refunds, exchange or store credit only) but why would I want the same shirt when the first one didn't even make it through a day. I didn't change my mind about the item, it was poorly constructed. In this instance I wanted my money back. They can't resell it and if I were the owner I would make my distributor eat that cost. So I got a store credit, why in the world would I want to shop there again when the quality is obviously shotty and they blamed me for the poor quality of the shirt. I like Molly Malone's when I am looking for unique accessories to give as gifts. They have funky, upcycled jewelry, pretty enamel pieces, fun Wellies, Brighton bags, various styles of flip flops, beads, baubles and a small selection of clothing. The prices are usually more reasonable than you expect to find at a boutique and they always have some cute clothes on sale. They offer free gift wrapping and will hold an item for a day or two if you don't bring your Visa/MC or cash/check (no Discover or Amex accepted.) So why three stars, not four? It is a small store so the return policy isn't very good and they have very few staff members - if the one on duty is helping someone or on the phone when you have a question or want to check-out, you're a-gonna have-a wait. read more

I purchased jewelry that I thought was on sale. The clerk said the sale was from a summer sale. Since it was a gift my daughter wanted, I asked the clerk if she could check with the the store manager. She said no one was there but she would try to check and get back to me. She never did. I contacted the owner who seemed appalled at what happened and told me her number is always at the register for her clerks to contact her. The owner said she would make it right and asked me to send her a copy of the receipt and the tags from the jewelry. Since mid-January she has told me she mailed a check twice and that she would send the check to her store for me to pick up. That never happened either. I texted her on 2/25 but have not heard back from her again. I will never shop at this store again. I wanted to give this store 0 stars but I must choose one to post the review. read more

As much as I loved the blouses they sold here, I will never ever recommend this place. A woman greeted me at the door and asked what I was looking for. I told her I wanted to apply for a possible part time job, since my friend just told me they were hiring. I just happened to drive by and ask for an application on the way home from the gym. Wearing my normal running Nike shorts, matching Nike shoes, and under armor shirt, I didn't think I was disgusting. She told me they weren't hiring at all. As I was walking out, another younger girl came in asking the same question and she straight up handed her an application. I know the woman who was managing the store, and she is very judgmental. What a wonderful, Christian-friendly woman..... NOT!!! Never again! read more

LOVE THIS PLACE! Their jewelry selection is beautiful and there's such a huge collection to choose from. The store is neatly organized and they had clothes/shoes too! I came out with this long enamel necklace with earthy-toned stones for about $28. I saw this other layered necklace with pastel-colored beads/stones on it and was told that it was supposed to be part of a matching set. Unfortunately, they couldn't find the rest of the set and so the lady at the front was nice enough to offer me a percentage off of the necklace. HOW NICE!!!! I was impressed by the customer service, and for that - they get 5 stars! Some items were a bit on the pricey side for single pieces, but they were still reasonable. Again, I wish northern VA had more cute little accessory shops like this :( Sometimes, you just get tired of shopping at the same chain stores for accessories... This place is definitely the go-to place if you want some statement jewelry that everybody else DOESN'T have :) The staff is very friendly and I will definitely be returning back with my boyfriend's mama whenever I make it back to Mooresville. read more

Wow. I am very surprised by the negative reviews. I was visiting from Texas where boutiques are in plentiful in small towns and on every corner in the cities. My parents just moved to Moorseville which called for mom & daughter time. Our first stop: Maggie's! I fell in love! First of all, waxing poetic, Lindsey Phillips, Jack Rodgers and the shot gun shell jeweler is hard to find in Texas. I don't know why but it is. I got so excited when I saw these designers! Lindsey helped me the whole way through the store without being pushy, snooty or aggressive. She was so personable and truly stood out! Thank you for the awesome gifts and personal items I purchased! She was helpful, honest, and had a great eye for what would look good on me. I have never been disappointed by the quality of the clothes. Then I got their's and it turned a whole different color and the one that I got cheaper didn't.They said it had no warranty and we didn't even get store credit.
