Had to kill some time before checkin at our Rock Hall campground so stopped here. Our truck and trailer fit nicely in front of the sporting goods store. Toured the sporting good shop and Mimi mart, then went to the restaurant when it opened. We both had burgers - one Chesapeake burger and one Swiss & Mushroom. This place has a very nice inside. The atmosphere and decor is on point. They lacked background music for majority of our meal and then all of a sudden music turned on. The service was ok. The server was a bit rude imo whether she meant to or not. Not everyone has been there before and if your menu has a typo or a legit question about what I can get on my sandwich, don't act like I'm stupid. And, she said you can get anything on your sandwich, so I ordered sweet peppers...Well turns out they don't have that. So, when someone asks what you can get on a sandwich don't make them feel stupid and then not have what you offered. Ok rant over. Anyway food was all right. read more

I ordered a chicken salad sandwich on whole wheat bread beccause I liked the description of it on the menu. Since it was priced at $14 I figured it would be really good. The server told me a side came with it -- I should have looked to be sure-- but I took her word and ordered sweet potato fries. My sandwich came with a small amount of very tough chicken-- nothing else but a little mayo--on white toast and a luke warm fries. I was charged $3 for the fries I was told came with the sandwich. What a find! I woofed the burger down before even thinking of a picture omg it was so good. Chesapeake Burger: Crab dip, bacon, provalone cheese, lettuce tomato and onion on a bricohe roll!! Yesss!! I wanted 2 it was so leg tapping good. I implore you to just gaze at the Menu. They have 1/2 off specials that you will certainly want to be a part of. Today was 1/2 off the Mac & Cheeses but, I want to say Monday was 1/2 off burgers. I was in meat heaven so i was passive in what I remember the waitress saying. Such nice staff too, very polite and happy. They have a Bar if you are looking for a drink or 3. Outdoor seating on the covered patio is available as well. Plenty of parking as Molly's is attached to Sporting store that you'll enjoy walking through, maybe before you eat, or after to work everything off. . So I've seen multiple posts with pictures of Molly's Restaurant. Everything looks so good. States using locally sourced produce and meats. Stopped in for dinner on our way home from Chestertown tonight. This place is nothing more than a diner. And not in a good way. My salad was warm and wilted. My crispy fries were cool and limp. Braden's Mac and cheese was very light on the cheese though he said the salmon was good. Asked to see the chef and a woman, guess to be in her twenties, if that, came out. Oh lord, those ads sure fooled me. Thought this was a legit local gem. Don't expect a return visit. read more

Ordered Shepards Pie. Serving size was childs. Im a grown man...Was in a shallow cereal bowl snd only filled half the bowl to one side, like it was missing the other half. Told server was good but wish I had more of it as serving was small. He agreed it was small and did nothing about it. Thank god wife shared her burger. We've been to Molly's a couple of times now, and have really enjoyed it. During our last visit, I had the pot roast plate with a side of coleslaw - the pot roast and mashed potatoes were sooo good - the potatoes were more like smashed potatoes with some lumps and the skins still on (I love them like that!). The pot roast was tender and flavorful. The slaw was okay but I really prefer a sweeter slaw. My old man had the crab bisque and crab stuffed mushroom - he said both were delish. It was pretty amusing how dainty his meal looked compared to mine though LOL. The service has been really good, and I love the atmosphere/ambience of the place. Highly recommend! read more

We chose Molly's Restaurant to stop at on our way to our AirBnB at Betterton Beach. We were very hopeful since the reviews were mostly good. We were highly disappointed. The hostesses were not friendly (at time immature and not knowledge of the products their restaurant sells), our waitress was okay and polite but not overly attentive (when we first got there there was only 1 other table filled). I ordered a burger and requested to be well done (the waitress asked how I wanted it cooked). When it came out the outside was well done...but the inside was RAW. Like right from the package raw. I sent in back and they simply threw my burger back on the grill. So when it returned to the table the crab dip and cheese that was on it were mostly melted off. The taste was okay. My husband got the fried oyster platter, it was Okay but for a Maryland/so close to the Chesapeake restaurant we were severely let down for the quality of the seafood. We won't be back. read more

Local who used to eat here......WHEN IT WAS VONNIE'S. Now they cater to PA people totally. Can't we just put up a toll booth at each entrance to this county and charge the one license platers a measily $5 to enter the county? Then give Molly's a buck of that per car (do the math on thet!) and.....give us back a good old greasy spoon where you can still get a Western Omellete w/ toast, homefries and SCRAPPLE and coffee and a juice.....all for like $7.50! I have had some horrendous dinning experiences in my life and this was by FAR the WORST. We came to Mollys for breakfast around 10am, had a 30 minute wait, no prob. Got seated, immediately ordered two coffees and our breakfast. We proceeded to sit there for 20 minutes with absolutely NOTHING. Finally the coffee came out and we sat there for another 30 minutes with no food. Finally someone (not our server) came by to tell us the kitchen had lost our ticket but it is getting done now. Another 5 minutes pass and our server comes to tell us that they ran out of the meal I had ordered (now approximately 50 minutes ago? ) and do I want something else? I said fine and ordered the breakfast that came with 2 eggs French toast sausage and home fries. Waited another 10 minutes, got the food and I had a literal teaspoon of home fries. We get our check and they didn't comp ANYTHING. At this point you know we have been sitting here for two hours unhappy and you can't even offer to take of the $6 of coffee we sat and drank waiting for food for over an hour and half? We will NEVER be back. Absolutely ridiculous way to run a business. What a shame. read more

Food is horrible! It's bad when spent $120 and everyone leave their food. I couldn't even eat the burger, the crap on it was horrible taste I removed the nasty thing on it and still I couldn't eat the food. The service none of the people inside had one smile. Nice little restaurant. I was hesitant after reading other yelp reviews. We had a good experience last night. We both had burger and fries, on Mondays they are $10. Great deal. The burger was large and juicy and there were a lot of choices. Get the sweet potato fries, so delicious. Drinks were refilled as needed, ask for mustard and got it quickly. brownie sundae for dessert. Yum. I will go back and try other dishes. Good experience waitstaff was very good. read more

The food was barely warm. My husband's soup was cold by the second spoonful. My quesadilla was bland and dry. We were ahead of the lunch crowd so it wasn't crowded. The service and food could have been a lot better. For the prices, it wasn't worth it, in our opinion. This was our second visit to this local restaurant and it will be our last. Getting the basics right would be a good place for Molly Mason's to start their improvement plan. read more

I thought this place was a cute find. My husband got the spicy fried chicken sandwich and I got the reuben. The chicken sandwich was a good sized portion with crispy chicken breast and a good amount of hot sauce. The reuben had corned beef that was sliced nice and thin and the sauerkraut was delicious. This restaurant is absolutely disgusting. First off, you can see into the kitchen and none of the kitchen staff wear masks when they make the food, and I've heard the chef make numerous inappropriate comments to the staff. I will say, my main complaint is the fact that they had one of their core staff pass away tragically and then opened the next day as if nothing happened which I found not only disrespectful to her memory, but is completely inconsiderate to their obviously traumatized staff. Lastly, their Buffalo dip is completely indistinguishable from the crab dip. read more

We've eaten here 3 times. It's not the quality of food where we would make a special trip (we live in Baltimore County) but it's good enough to stop when we're coming back from Chestertown. Here's a tip: never order the 'gourmet mac and cheese'. It's nothing more than boxed M&C and it's dry at that. I ordered that with Pulled Pork BBQ on top of it. That was dry as well but the smoke of it and what little sauce that was on it was really good. But they charge $8 for a simple bowl of boxed M&C and add $6 for the BBQ. Now I was expecting a creamy steamy bowl of tender noodles and BBQ on top with some sauce. Nope! I'm still laughing. There was a lot of M&C but that was children's fare. My husband's crab cake sandwich was good but the crab fell apart easily. Their menu is very brief and has gotten pricey. Service is excellent and they are attentive. Suggestion - keep it simple Molly's. No need for make believe gourmet food in crab land. And the M&C I just described? You'd sell it by the bucket. read more
