I asked what their bestseller was and they recommended the Irish Coffee Latte. I'm very happy I listened to them. It was delicious!!! I've had the opportunity to try their Latte and Choco Peppermint. Both pretty good too. The latte normal but good. The iced version can be filling. The Choco Peppermimt was not too sweet with the right hint of mint. I was also very surprised with how much my coffee was! In general, their prices are very affordable! I hope it stays that way.

I was successfully persuaded by the friendly barista to give that drink a shot. She even suggested I try it with a shot of vodka - a usual thing done to Irish cream coffees. I was feeling particularly bold that morning so I said obliged. And boy was it a real picker-upper! Needless to say, you should definitely try it out. Other than that drink, another reason I appreciated Urban Grind is because of its chill but modern ambience. There were a good number of couches - perfect for a chill hangout session with your friends. They also had work station-worthy tables, with accessible plugs to booth! It was great that I stopped by a couple of hours before lunchtime so I got to enjoy the place with just a couple of customers. I got to drink good coffee and work at the same time. I also liked this café's staff. They were all very helpful and accommodating, a specific trait I always look for in restaurants and coffee shops. At one point, I couldn't seem to get through their Internet connection; one of their waitresses walked up to me and helped me out, without me even asking her to! Really, truly appreciate such helpful service.

I've visited their original branch in Clark and I was pretty pleased that Mr. Park's Bread & Cake is open 24/7! Yay! You MUST try their Cream Puffs (Php10/each) to go with their coffee. They also have flavored Cream Puffs for Php14 a piece. One you pop one in your mouth, you can't stop! You also have to try the Egg Morning sandwich and the Jumbo Croquette. My favorite is the Red Bean Bun because it is HUGE but soft, chewy and has the right amount of sweetness. I'll be honest, like this place better than Bread Talk. It's chill and perfect for breakfast or merienda. Coffee is good (which means served the way I like it, sweet) and was served in a large mug. If you don't want coffee or tea, they also have Korean drinks for you to try. Oh! If you want a cold dessert, go try their Bingsu! :D If you guys are looking for a place where you could spend hours with good food and drinks (plus sockets for ALL your gadgets) then this is the place for you! They have awesome bread creations and fast internet! Love it!

The cream puffs, though, are insane. As a cafe, the coffee is alright, and Mr Park's is open 24 hours and is comfortable enough to finish a long night's work or study. A. Mr Park's the Bakery (and Cream Puff Shop) Mr Park's Bread and Cake devotes half its floorspace to selling...bread and cake. I'm not sure if the ovens are on the premises, but judging the by the quality of the bread, they might as well be. People who like soft, sweet white bread shouldn't bother. The bread sold here is crusty and has a good chew, as baguettes should. If I may drop my pseudo-hipster pretensions for a moment, one of my favorite things is convenience store sandwiches. Mr. Park's sandwiches are like those, except with fresh bread and discernible meat. I know that sounds like an insult but they're really good, especially the bacon chicken one. The pastries have a distinctively Korean bent. Red bean and green tea flavors feature heavily in a variety of donuts. I don't have a particularly sweet tooth, so I can't say how good these really are. I will say that they aren't cloying, which is a good thing. All of these things, however, are to me side dishes to the mini cream puffs. Oh lord, the cream puffs. They're bite-sized little pockets of light, crisp dough filled with a shot of real whipped cream to order. They are almost as good as Beard Papa's, except a quarter of the size and P10 each for the plain ones. My sister and I bought a 20 pack to take home, only to stare at the bottom of an empty box after a couple of hours and "just one more cream puff." They're so good Mr Park's Bread and Cake should rename itself to Mr Park's Cream Puffs, Bread and Cake. Have I mentioned I like them? B. Mr. Park's, the Cafe. The other half of the floor space is seating for customers to enjoy their cream puffs, bread, cream puffs, and pastries, along with Mr Park's coffee. I'm a heavy coffee drinker, but not a connoisseur. I can't say if the coffee is from the lush hills of Sumatra or something, but I can say it's freshly brewed and pretty good. As you can see from the photos, all lattes come with latte art. I normally only just have brewed coffee with a bit of milk, but Mr. Park's has more exotic options if you'd like. I've only ever tried the Sweet Potato Latte, which does in fact taste like camote. Can't really say I'm into that, but the attention to detail did shine through. More importantly to me as a student, Mr. Park's is open 24 hours and has free wifi. I did put that to the test by cramming for an exam until 5:30 in the morning, so I can attest to the fact that 24 hours isn't just marketing speak. The Cafe's wifi is free, but can be spotty when there are a lot of customers. The only caveat I have about the Cafe seating is that most of the floor outlets have now been closed off since I first came here. However, there are still ample outlets near the walls, and a couple of outlets in the middle of the dining area. All in all, Mr. Park's is a pretty good cafe, a good bakery, and an awesome cream puff store.

The very first time I saw this place i new it was going to be a good one. Ever since, this is where my business partners and I bought coffee and had our meetings before we had our office. The ambiance of the place contributes to productivity in terms of work. I also think that they're good wifi connection helps us do our tasks better. I am a coffee lover and good craft coffee is really important to me. I think I'm also very lucky to have great coffee very accessible. They even offer cold brews! Other than caffeine, they really have good food for reasonable prices. I always order their Aglio Olio. A very simple pasta dish with balanced flavors. It's light yet satisfying. I love their staff too. They attend to our every need and they're very friendly. Since I'm a regular, they start conversations and ask about our day which I find very kind. I could also see that the owner is very hands on. He introduced himself to us and told us about his shop. We all got to know each other a little bit and I found that very nice of him to do because not much business owners are like that. i could see that he really loves what he's doing. The place was also very well designed. It was very industrial with hints of an artsy vibe that's very inviting. I recommend everyone to drop by!

You know what caught my eye? There's a sign outside that said, "All-Day Breakfast." I was sold. I was craving for coffee. I'm all set to try this café + kitchen hybrid out! I was the only customer around the time I arrived. It was 15 minutes past five in the afternoon on a Sunday. It was spacey and my 'hipster' heart was happy. I could finally retreat from the other Kapitolyo cafés that are almost-always full and noisy. I felt really relaxed and enjoyed reading my book in between sips of my latte (P125) and eating a piece of my cheesecake (P140). When I left, I just muttered to myself that I think I found my "coffice" in Manila. I spent a good amount of time there today. Sometimes, I would chat up with the wait staff and their manager. He told me about the best times to go there. He also told me that it's a getaway for people who want to study and have some quiet time by themselves and sometimes with friends. I'd have to agree because you don't get that much around a really busy city! If you post about 8 Oz. and tag them on Instagram, you'll receive a free cup of brewed coffee on your next visit. They also give out loyalty cards which I'm sure I'll fill up soon enough!

One of our dinner companions, a Pasig resident, confidently recommended Epic. He also later told me that the cafe's bestsellers are its salted caramel drinks. The cafe interiors of wood, brick, and cement give a cozy feel - and it's a relatively small cafe, too. There are also vintage decors, like the bikes in the corner. I tried the sea salt caramel frappe, but found it too bitter for my taste. I was hoping the dominant flavors would be the sweetness and saltiness. I like the salted caramel ice cream better. If you have a sweet tooth, this is what I recommend. The mint chocolate ice cream is very rich and and chocolate-y. Those who like the usual milk chocolate kind of flavor might not like it, but those who like dark chocolate with mint, as I do, might. Prices are close to Starbucks', with the sea salt caramel frappe at P160.

I'm also keen on restrooms as well and surprisingly, they did not disappoint. Even the CR is so hipster and super clean. They also have a vintage water dispenser at the condiments area that I really really like. I'm also a huge sucker for matcha latte or anything matcha and Epic Café's matcha didn't disappoint me. It has that usual after taste but the sweetness lingers as well. The lighting was a bit dark for studying though. Albeit saying, it's still a good place to sip coffee and write about random musings with your regular notebook and pen because the place will make you feel homey and relaxed.
