Got into town late and a friend recommended it. It's an all you can eat hot pot and sushi. We decided to do both hot and sushi. Reg is $29.99/person with an additional $5 to do both. So I recommend just doing both. Didn't have a huge selection for the hot pot broths, but plenty of sushi items to choose from. Overall we enjoyed the place. We went for lunch. You can't beat the prices! $20.99 all you can eat from the sushi menu. They also offer adding on hot pot for $5 more. However, they state on the menu that they can charge $12.99/lb of wasted food. So, we decided to wait to add on hot pot. At first we thought we would do both for the all you can eat because of the cheap price to add on, so we were seated at a table for hot pot. There are regular tables and hot pot tables, also a sushi bar. The hot pot tables are a little too close together but everything seems clean. It's made to order so it didn't give off buffet vibes! We went at the end of lunch, around 2:30pm. It wasn't too busy and we got our orders pretty quickly. Our server wasn't around too much but we didn't have to wait an annoying amount of time. Definitely going back. The fish is fresh and that's not always the case in Lubbock. I wish there was a little more variety of choice in special rolls but honestly, there's so much to choose from I can't complain. I've been to "all you can eat" sushi places in California and this place was better.. good food, decent service, and not over crowded! read more

Overpriced. The food lacked flavor. Nothing special at all. The sauce station was horrible. There were only four other diners in there so it wasnt crazy busy. I did not finish my food. Service was okay at best. Once seated no one came back to refill drinks or see if everything was okay. It could be that we went on an off day. Every business has off days. Stopped by Momotoro for some appetizers and sushi, and honestly, I left pretty happy (and slightly soy-sauced). For starters, the shrimp tempura, mushrooms, and gyoza were all on point -- crispy, flavorful, and clearly made fresh. The crab and squid didn't quite hit the mark for me. The crab tasted a bit too imitation-y; I think it would be much better as soft shell crab instead. Now, the sushi -- that's where Momotoro really shines. I tried the Honda Roll and Nissan Roll, and both were delicious-- well-balanced flavors, fresh fish, and just the right amount of sauce. Basically, if these rolls were actual cars, they'd be reliable, stylish, and probably out of my price range. The service was fantastic -- friendly, attentive, and fast without feeling rushed. I'm already planning to go back to try the hot pot, because apparently my stomach has trust issues with moderation. We didn't over order the first round & made sure to only order a little bit extra after & it was delightful! The recipes for sauces were ESSENTIAL, because I tried to freely make a sauce & it didn't go great for me. Delicious food, fun to make it in the hotpot yourself! One thing that was very inconvenient is the lack of a changing table in the women's bathroom. First of all my waitress was great. They charge me for my meal and their system error and did not print a receipt. The told that the charge would return but I need to pay again. I told the waitress I would not be paying until the charge was returned to my card. I was told that there machine sometimes error. I spoke to the manager on the phone and she was very rude and loud. I did not care for her attitude. That fact that they have card reader on the floor and are aware of it charging customers in error is negligence on their behalf. We didn't mind since it was Two hours of all you can eat sushi and hotpot. Then we are being told that there is a waste fee of 12.99 per pound. Due to this, instead of enjoying our food we are stressing out trying to finish everything so we don't get charged for the waste. definitely changed over time! service was not good compared to how it was before. we had a server last night that was really rude and just didn't want to help us. she'd walk past our table then ignore us and the only time she came to us was when we called her over. also, i think they should mention if we are going to get extra charges on rice while doing the hot pot since they used to not do that. read more

I really enjoy this place. Everytime we have gone we have been served by a really nice girl who is very attentive to when we need refills on our sushi and hibachi. The hot pot is really good too I wish there was a way to just get hot pot but you have eto pay extra for that. I love the sushi choices it is all fresh and high end just like if you got to a sushi restaurant and ask for sushi you get a decorative plate which puts this place over the top for presentation. I enjoy it every time. Wish the price was a little better during lunch and then the price for lunch could be dinner but maybe if more people go they can work with a lower price. Over all I really do enjoy it. The only con I had was the last time I went the tempura shrimp that was in the sushi tasted a little old as far as texture it wasn't hard and dried it tasted pretty made and kinda soggy. read more

Even the menu makes it difficult to understand you can pick all three. So basically it's $36.99 for AYCE sushi, hibachi and hot pot! The food is good and the choices were vast. You have 2 hours and can eat till you pop. The only reason I could not give it a 5 star was because the sushi rice was a bit hard. The salmon was amazing but the rice ruined the experience because it was either the wrong rice or was old. I was a bit sad about that. read more
