This is a Hawaiian-style BBQ and the food is pretty good. I really enjoyed the Mixed Plate more than the Chicken & Noodles, probably cos it was served with steamed rice. Their noodles tend to get "gummy" when sitting in the sauce and then under the (immense!!) weight of all that chicken! Yes! They give you an insane portion of meats in each order! The wait is long and they hardly take phone orders due to very short staffing. Drop by, place your order and then run errands for 45 mins - 1 hour and your food will be ready by then! Man...Wow...Geez...Mercy... Certainly a little unsuspecting place...Counter service...small dining room...all in a strip mall next to a church for one-stop shopping. Order from pictures...not much detail on what things are...go ahead, take the leap. Then the order came up. WOW... Enough food in one box for an army. Enough in the other to serve a small country. The only negative was time and those that complain about time at a restaurant are usually McDonald's Trash from Post. My order was fast and out in less than 5 MINS. Food is great! I just came from here, me and a couple of friends decided to eat lunch here and we was very satisfied. The venue Is very small and there is about 2-3 tables to sit at. It gets crowded pretty fast. I ordered the mix plate! It was delicious. I really loved the bbq beef. The chicken was a bit chewy to me but I still liked it. The macaroni salad was good, I just prefer my macaroni salad cold. read more

Still the best Hawaiian food out there. My favorite would be the mix bbq plate and love their siopao or steamed bbq pork bun. But really, I'd eat anything in their menu. The food portion is insane! I don't know how they make a profit still. But just for $17.99 you'll have food for days or you can share it with the whole family. It's one of those mom and pop's restaurants that you would hate to see go because there's no comparing it to other restaurants. That's why I made sure to add tip too, it made them feel more rewarded and the service becomes more efficient. The food is savory with or without their special sauce which I like too. You can dine in but most people do take outs. On not so busy days you'll get in and out in just 5-10mins, I came here Wednesday afternoon. The lady in the front is the very same one since I visited the place 7yrs ago. She may not smile a lot but understand she's probably exhausted coz she's the only one taking orders and giving out food. I give 5 stars based on food not service. I always call ahead and rarely get an answer. Therefore I go in and order and it takes about 30 mins in a small crowded area. We love the beef fried noodles and the pot stickers and apparently they're worth the pain and wait because we do it almost every weekend. read more

I had my mom pick me up the BBQ Chicken and Fried Rice meal since she was out that way. When I had it once before it was delicious, thus the reason I ordered it again. This time the chicken was dry(like it had sat out for a very long time) and the rice was hard and dry too. It was edible but not good. Since this is a 50/50 situation I will have to try this another time to decide if it's a lost cause or not. Unfortunately I live a bit of a distance from the restaurant and don't always have transportation so who knows when I will be able to try it again. read more

Ugh....THIS IS MY NEW FAVORITE or go to when I'm in Lubbock. The price is for what you get is amazing. $11 for a combo meat platter with a medium drink . Both the platter and drink was enough for two people to eat and drink with. The flavors of the meat were on point. The macaroni salad I thought was a little creamy but it still tasted pretty darn good. And the rice is cook sticky but if you add a little soy sauce it loosens up. The food didn't take longer that 10 minutes to cook. All and all as I said from the jump, this is going to be my go to when in town. read more

Unfortunately this restaurant has been closed for over 6 months. They say temporary it appears to be a lot longer. This is a little dive of a place that doesn't look like much. Hardly any seating, but Very large portions, good prices, and hardly a wait at lunchtime on a Thursday. Aloha BBQ may not be as good as some of the spots in Oahu but it comes very close. Being able to get Loco Moco & Spam Musubi in Lubbock, TX is a great thing. We highly recommend Aloha BBQ. We only rated 4 stars because it usually takes a long time to get your food but it's definitely worth the wait! read more

I've heard so much about Aloha and this was my first time here. We came on a Friday night and it was pretty packed. I ordered the stir fry chicken with rice. It actually took about 30 minutes for our food to come out. A lot of people call ahead and pick up, which is what I would recommend to do so you can avoid the wait. They have about 3-4 tables to sit at, and it's pretty casual. We got our food and I was surprised at how big the portion size was! It was like 2-3 meals worth of food for me. The stir fry was amazing!! I loved the smokiness of the chicken and added sriracha sauce for a kick. I definitely had leftovers for later. Overall, I really enjoyed the food and didn't mind the wait too much. I wish they would add more veggies to the stir fry though! read more

Best and only Hawaiian food in Lubbock. The restaurant is a hole and the wall and I like it that way. Unfortunately, they are extremely slow. My friend and I waited over 45 minutes for our order. The food is amazing for what it is, but it's hard to justify the wait and the cashier was rather rude. Also, they don't let you get a side of noodles. You have to order a whole entree of noodles which is bullshit in my book. Food equals three stars, they lost two for poor service. I recommend calling ahead in less you like waiting for almost an hour. I got the BBQ mix platter which comes with beef short rib, beef, and chicken. The flavors are on point and the marinade they use really compliment the meat. The quality of meat they use is low, but it's what you would expect at an Asian fast-serve restaurant. Rice was over cooked, but edible. Mac salad was delicious. For $10, you get to sample all the meats and they give you enough food for two people. read more

We got the all meats family meal it was enormous the sides were very good also. The staff was super friendly and helpful and free beer while you wait in line. who has that no one. We ordered enough sliced brisket for 12 people and we got three sides. It was more than enough to fill us all up. It came with bread, pickles, onions and jalapeños. The brisket was delicious and was perfectly seasoned. The creamed corn was my favorite side. We also got the mustard potato salad and the green chili mac & cheese. When our order was delivered by one of our husbands who went and picked it up.. we were surprised with a free dessert. It was a MASSIVE peach cobbler, with a super sweet note saying happy Mother's Day. This warmed all of our hearts, and needless to say it was delicious. Thank you Smokehouse for the amazing free dessert and the kindness of taking our order over the phone at 9am!

I ordered a brisket sandwich, brisket, beans, and coleslaw via Uber eats it asked me if I wanted onions, pickles, and barbecue sauce and I said yes to all When I got my order I had pickles and onions on my sandwich which I'd rather not be on the sandwich and no barbecue sauce at all, but there was three ketchup packets. I have no idea what I was supposed to do with these ketchup packets, but obviously I'm not putting on my brisket sandwich. That being said, the brisket was OK beans no brisket and the beans and the coleslaw was pretty basic closely. You would get anywhere so for the amount of money I paid for Uber eats I don't really think I liked the experience..
