The best part of our meal was the free chips and salsa they give you when you're seated. We came here for lunch and despite the kitchen being understaffed our service was great. Our server let us know that our food would take longer than usual as the kitchen was short and backed up, which was fine, we weren't in a rush and she was wonderful. We ordered nachos as an appetizer and they were definitely not worth the wait. They were bland and mostly consisted of sour cream cheese and lettuce. No pico, red onion, cilantro, etc. and the jalapeños were pickled and so sour. For our entree's we both got a burrito. The portion size was enormous and barely fit on the plate but in this situation quantity out weighs quality. Again the food was very bland. The sauces on top had zero flavor and the veggies inside (I got a veggie burrito) didn't taste seasoned at all and again no onion, cilantro or anything that would add some flavor. read more

My family and I love this place. Good atmosphere, huge seating area, and great food. We've never had a bad meal here. I will say the service isn't always great. I'm assuming due to being short staffed. Things just get to you slow ( like drinks and appetizers) I can't really blame a server when they have so many customers to take care or at once. The severs were nice but didn't know what they were doing, the drinks took a good 20-25 minutes to arrive and some of them were horrible. I reordered a drink and it tasted totally different the second time around. Dinner was okay but not great The Mariachi duo was fantastic - but ONLY if you're sitting at least 20 feet away. It was ear-piercingly loud and made the evening unpleasant for many of our guests. They were very fun but my husband has ringing in his ears from how loud it was! We definitely could not have a conversation either. One of our guests accidentally received and started eating another guests order and the person missing their dinner was told to eat what's left of his meal from the other person or eat her meal. Nice atmosphere, pretty good service but the food is terrible. Just awful. The refried beans were almost soup-like runny. The tortilla wrapping the quesadilla was really thick and overpowered the meal. In addition, there is an upcharge to replace rice with beans and the rice was hard. And the margarita was weak. So happy to have found a good Mexican restaurant close by. We recently moved here and it has taken us 2 years to find one we like. This is the best one so far. The salsa is great!!! The soup is delicious and homemade. The portions are generous and the drink menu is extensive. The decor is exquisite and there was a lot of thought in all of the small details. We almost didn't give it a chance since it is part of the mall and figured it more like chain type food but it's not!!! It's a family owned business and I highly highly recommend it. The drink looked great but it was not made well. Basically beer with sour tamarind mixture. Disappointed with food as well. I ordered Chicken stuffed Chile Rellano. Can I give a negative rating please? I have not been in a long while to this restaurant because the food is not very fresh. The food is never good! I went 2 days ago about 2 pm. The chicken on my salad tasted old and like it was reused. I wondered if it was taken from other customers plates that they had not eaten. The chips looked like they had been placed one by one in the basket maybe gotten from peoples baskets of chips left over? They were stale. The salsa was rancid and had definitely gone bad. I always like to review places good or bad because i rely on reviews myself! There are NO good Mexican restaurants in Ft Myers! About the only good thing about our experience was the margarita deal. The food was pricey and dry. Our server had no personality and would not come close enough to our table for us to hear him. First of all, Darina was an excellent server. She was friendly and attentive. She also brought us a complimentary salsa which we loved. my wife and I had been searching for a place to get authentic Mexican food, and we have finally found one since we moved to Fort Myers. We had frijoles, toreados and fried onions, crema, tortillas, and a generous pitcher of beer. The salsas were delectable. We will most definitely be back! read more

Very good Mexican food , Probably one of the best in ft.myers.service was good and helpful , atmosphere is nice and cozy , food and drink is good I order the chips and salsa as a appetizer, which was good a bit on the salty side but the salsa and quac was acceptable enough to over come that , I order the fajitas which were nicely prepared and served ,Margarita was so-so but I didn't really drink much of it I got full halfway into my meal . The guacamole and chips, the chips were ok but the guacamole was mostly onions and tomato, very little avocado to speak of; I had the chicken tostada, it consisted of mostly lettuce and cheese, very little meat - approximately 3 tablespoons; no dressing or salsa for the lettuce. The worst food at outrageous prices, taco bell is tastier than them. The ambience is boring and chaotic. They played the same mexican singer for two hours nonstop. When we complained about the boring music they said the owner only likes to play that singer and no one can change the music. Theres not a five star crowd either, there was a woman at the bar, in the company of two guys, so vulgar you could hear her loud laugh outside the restaurant. Can't comment on the food because we left after 20 minutes. 2 in our party of 4 had not yet received their beverage order. The young man, assigned to our table and disguised as a waiter, was totally clueless. The restaurant was out of the first 2 beers ordered and the mojito arrived as we were getting up to leave. When we approached the bartender to get our own drinks,after 15 minutes, we were told 'I'm working on it'. Apparently he has the same 2 speeds as the waiter, slow and stopped. Just a lousy experience and the manager on duty avoided eye contact and HAD to be aware of the issues. No one cared.......which is a shame because we've dined at their Cape sister restaurant and the service there has been impressive. read more

We plan to come back here the next time we want Mexican food. We were very weary to try a new place and a place that was next to the mall, however we were pleasantly surprised. Right from walking in everyone was very pleasant. Darina was our waitress and she kept my waters coming. The restaurant was clean and decorated nicely. They bring you free chips and salsa before your meal and even walked around with fresh ones asking if you wanted more. The salsa was smooth and exactly how we like it. Went to this place on Cinco de Mayo . You would think that with the 5th of May being their celebration of all....they sucked. They had very little staff. Had a great experience at this establishment. The food reminded us of San Antonio hole in the wall awesome Mexican food. We ordered the shrimp cocktail which was unique, fresh and delicious. The table side guacamole was also fresh I do wish the avocados were cold so the guacamole was not so warm but that is a personal preference. The service was AMAZING. She was extremely attentive and even gave us some pointers on the menu. I had the burrito and my mom had the enchiladas both were flavorful. There is one thing that I will say...the music truthfully needs to be turned down a notch. There was ONE song playing over and over the entire time we were there.
