What an amazing way to spend a gorgeous day There's a huge…read moreparking lot and lots of room to explore. I paid $27 for the admittance fee and SOAR butterfly exhibit. They let you into the butterfly exhibit 5 mins before your s healed time. Make sure to get a ticket ahead of time. I'm thinking I'll be one a member so I can come back k whenever I want. It's so peaceful and I love connecting in nature.

Came to see the trolls, visiting Soar butterfly exhibit along the way. We waited for a bit of…read moresunlight before purchasing the entry tickets that include Soar. Our detour at the butterfly pavilion lasted longer than planned. Thankfully, the sun appeared and butterflies started flying, a few stopped to rest on hats, hands, hairs and clothing. The butterflies were native to Costa Rica. Gigantic Blue morpho were eye-catching with large iridescent electric blue wings and beautiful brown spots on their underwing. They seemed to enjoyed travelling in groups. The glasswing butterfly with transparent wings is both fragile and exquisite. The owl butterflies captivated us with owl-like eye pattern on their wings (they always seemed to be at rest however and we did not get to see their blue wings). The benefit of intimate setting like this is that it allows visitors to experience many more butterflies flying up close versus a large venue. We downloaded the troll map in advance to locate the 12 juvenile trolls in Thomas Dambo's A Field Study, installed at various points in the park. Constructed out of recycled wood, the creative sculptures showcase trolls in whimsical poses in line with their character and unique interests. We also visited several specialty gardens along the way. The ground is well-kept and peaceful.

The venue is beautiful, but do not have your event on a holiday or weekend during the day because…read morethe parking is awful and the picnicking public is on the front steps and lawn and continually comes to the door asking to use the restrooms. A weekday or evening would be better, and if possible, bring your own caterer.

The Venue and Food: RBH is a beautiful location, and their customer service is truly outstanding…read more During the preparation process, they always responded within a couple of days. The only issue we ran into was with the guests that had special food requests (gluten free, allergies, etc.)---there was a slight mix-up and some of them didn't get their food until much much later on in the night. The food though, was great overall! People kept talking about the chicken and the salmon. I remember the guests commenting on how delicious the food was. I remember that my husband and my sister (she went to the food tasting, since I couldn't make it from Northern California), said that they weren't too impressed during the tasting, but they really blew it out of the water for the day of! Kathy: Kathy is so sweet, friendly, and professional--very extroverted! She made sure that all the details were taken care of and the night went rather smoothly. We were a bit scared because I was checking the weather and it read: sunny, sunny, sunny, sunny, BLUSTERY, sunny, sunny. That blustery day? Wedding day. Ugh, right? But fear not, Kathy made sure it all worked out, and we were still able to do the ceremony outside! DJ Lance: GREAT guy. Super sweet, friendly, and he played such great songs. We gave him a list of songs we'd like, and he rolled with the punches and went for it. He also led our guests in a jeopardy game about my husband and me, in order to dismiss the tables for the buffet food. He projected a powerpoint of us as a couple, growing up, in our respective towns. The guests absolutely LOVED him, as did we. We are quite happy that we chose RBH. After about 10 in-person interviews of other locations, we do not regret our decision.

Growing up in the South Bay, Torrance Cultural Arts Center became near and dear to my heart. When I…read morewas younger I took different classes dance classes here. I remember taking ballet as kid and modern dance as a teen. I also took a workout class when I was in college. I always appreciated the large and spacious dance studios where the classes were held. Now that I'm older I've also come to appreciate Torrance Cultural Arts Center as a venue. I've been to several different festivals here such as the Japanese Matsuri Festival and Lunar New Year festival. This spot is perfect for the community to get together and like how each festival is able to have many different booths. I also love how there is a stage area both outside and inside. I've also attended the Torrance Firefighters' Annual Spaghetti Dinner here. This is another great event at this spacious venue. Despite it being quite a popular dinner, there''s plenty of room for all to enjoy an evening out. Torrance Cultural Arts Center is great! Whether it be for classes or community events or festivals, this spot is perfect for small or large gatherings.

First time here. Found it through social media. Glad we went! 2026 Torrance Lunar Year Festival…read more It was so festive! Although a small community event, it was bigger than I thought. There were food vendors, arts and crafts, music, performers, lion dance, magician doing magic tricks, ballroom dancers, a lot of vendors promoting services as well as other sellers selling decor, ornaments, plush, garment/clothing, etc. There were a lot of things to see! They even have a small area to do a small arts and crafts paper lantern for the kids! You can even go further in and see the small koi pond and peaceful garden (PINE WIND GARDEN). The mayor was there along with other community and local city members. They sure pulled some strings to make that small event happen. It was so fun and memorable.
