It was such a fun time. My 5 year old enjoyed playing dress up and pretend play with the kitchen scene and the grocery store. She worked her social skills and made friends (which was a first at an indoor playground). It was nice to see parents truly there for their kids. I like that there are cameras in every blind spot. One can watch their child from the cafe table area on the screen. The cafe was such a treat! It was nice to grab a bite to take a break from play time. It was my first time taking my toddler, I went as soon as it opened at 9AM. I think it's OK for what it costs and if you need time to spend with your kid along with friends. But GO EARLY. My time was from 9-12PM and around 11AM... kids start rolling in, parents don't watch their kids... it gets RIDICULOUS. PLEASE WATCH YOUR KIDS. THERE WERE KIDS THAT WERE CHAOTIC and even GRABBED my child. Unless it's empty, I highly recommend that your child is somewhat walking at least to come to this place. When it gets packed - kids just run around everywhere/bumping each other/etc. - Check in - I already filled out a waiver online and gave them my number when I was purchasing entry tickets in person. $25 for child and $5 for adult. It was our first time here, so had no idea on what to do/expect, and it wasn't really explained to me. I think the employee assumed I've been there before, so he didn't really explain. You do need to put your shoes in the front and wear socks inside. Kids need to have GRIPPY socks and adults, any socks will do. - Seating - They have lots of seats open for you to put your bags down. I was able to bring my snacks in for my kid. They were not strict about that. They do have a cafe, which I did see a lot of the parents order from. I didn't, but it seems relatively good for the foods I did see others order. They also have drinks. - Cleanliness - It was good, but could be better. I went when it opened, and I still saw lots of hairs on the ground, crumbs, lots of finger marks on the windows, and even saw a coffee cup high up in a play area. I just ensured I wiped my kid's hands before we left and did a full shower. I recommend long pants at least because there is a slide and I think it bothered my kid a bit, he was in shorts. This place used to be a go to for us and our kids. But after today it looks like they're really not tending to it like they had in the past. We spent $60 on admission and $75 on food for my mom, myself, my daughter, and nephew. The food used to be soooooo good and now it's just okay- not bad but not great like it used to be. The toys & areas had ripped books, chipped paint, was just not in goood condition/ which for the cost, it absolutely should be better. The thing that really got to me was the fact that we picked the 4-7 pm slot. As soon as it hit 6 pm, they turned the music completely off and turned off some of the lights... it was so dreary that I assumed it was almost 7, but to my surprise barely six! It's a quiet "I'm done with the day so please leave" and honestly 100% the reason we will not be back. If I paid for a 3 hour experience that cost an arm and a leg/ don't make us feel uncomfortable for the last hour. It was awkward and rude and I could see the employee in the corner just waiting for us to leave. Such a bummer because we have been going since it opened- literally was one of the first people to go. I have been to many indoor playgrounds and thus far this place ranks the worst. The facility itself is pretty nice. It is spacious and has lots of different things that kids can play with. The staff can be more friendly. They seemed like they were kind of forced to work there which can be unpleasant from customer's view. The other issue was the cafe. The coffees served were gross and the cookie was as hard as a rock. They should really get their acts together when it comes to quality of the food/drinks they serve. I suggest the owner to drive to Oceanside and visit a business called "kids and coffee". This cafe and play space is an absolute dream! Open daily at 9am, Looma Space offers 2 hour play times that you can reserve or walk-in every hour. It's impeccably clean and has more play options than you can think of. They have bigger climbing spaces, dress up, a huge kitchen/grocery store area, building, cars, and more. Then, on the other side are comfy seats and a cafe for families. The food and drink opens right away, which I appreciate as a coffee lover. They actually had a huge menu of food, from kid classics to more upscale options. I got PSL and it was sooo delicious. For all the coffee options, you can choose your sweetness levels and ice/cream levels. I also got avocado toast, which was pretty good. My friends got a charcuterie board and liked it. I liked that in there was additional seating area outside of the private room so you can sit and eat while watching the kids play. Very very poorly managed. I'd say 90% of the toys are either really low quality or broken already. Especially things like kids shopping cart, little bikes and little cars are really poor quality and flimsy. My baby held on to one big car toy and immediately got hit by it because how light the toy is. Ended up with bruise on his face and a lot of tears. 30 dollars for this is absolutely insane. I won't come here for free. And we go to park for free all the time and all the facilities there are most safe and solid. Parents come here really are asking for injury. I'm not talking about other kids running around and bump into small kids. I'm saying the toys are NOT safe at all. This is our favorite indoor play place. Compared to a lot of play gyms geared towards just the children, this one is more of a Korean kids café, which gives parents a great space to hang out while their kids play. Aesthetic kids cafes are extremely popular in Korea and Looma Space really plays into that with their café items. They have coffees, teas, smoothies, but also really tasty snacks as well. We usually order some tots to share. The tteokbokki and bulgogi items were surprisingly good too. The play area is amazing. For those who care about the aesthetics, it's really pretty with wood tones. There's a ball pit, dress up area, play kitchens, play cafes, play markets, and a slide. They do actually go in and clean the areas regularly. There is a mini play area in the middle of the café meant for tots. I will say that there were a few times where older kids were in that space and I would not have felt comfortable for a 1 year old to be playing there. Although, I probably would have guided the older child out of the area, if necessary. They host events there all the time. We went once for a free Stitch day, so there was a photo opp with a dressed up Stitch! They have a calendar with events up on their social media. In December, they have a bunch of holiday themed events. My daughter has asked for a birthday party here and it is honestly way out of my budget. But looking at the website, it looks like the party comes with an onsite event planner who does all of the decorations for you. You can add food to your party as well, which they would prepare in their kitchen. You can either book just the party room and leave the play area open to other guests or you can actually book out the entire venue as well. The last little touch I would mention is that they give you Looma cash when you enter for each child. Then at the exit, the child can redeem that cash for a little toy. I love this concept because if you're a mom you know how hard transitions can be, and prying my child away from a fun play area is one of the toughest ones. But by giving a little prize, it keeps my daughter super excited and in a good mood to be able to leave with a little toy. Logistics - You can book a slot online or go in-person, but if they're super busy, you may not get in right away. It is a little pricier, just because you have to pay for the child and each adult. Infants, again, are still free. The food prices end up adding up too. Each entry is for 2 hours. If you're going for a special event, you may have to book those tickets online separately. The downside is there are a lot of parents that sit around the cafe and do not pay attention to their children at all! I followed my child everywhere he went and we encountered kids who pushed him and threw toys and damaged toys in front of us. Some of the older kids were very rough and were playing in the area that's supposed to be for babies only - staff didn't say anything. Wow this place removes lots of bad reviews , I wonder how they able to do it ? Here was my review from a year ago , I had to repost it , because other parents told me their reviews also gone ! I recently visited Looma and unfortunately had an extremely unpleasant encounter with the staff. While I understand the importance of enforcing rules for safety, the behavior of the staffs was completely unprofessional and unacceptable. During my visit , I was shocked to be yelled by a staff named Amornia that she said my son pushed a kid and throw toys, even though I was watching my son play and I didn't see him have any inappropriate behaviors , I still on my way to correct him right away after she yelled and looking for the parent. I just want to make sure the house rule what type of toy could not throw since there were couple ball pits there too. But Amornia kept yelling at me and told me :" of course you can not throw any toy ! the rule is on the wall and you signed the wavier include the rule also this is common sense!!! " I was shock to comment by a staff that I didn't have common sense to ask a question...... I went to slide and talked to my son for couple times , then he stopped play at that area. then I read the rule on wall, i was surprised not find the rule Amornia lectured me loudly in the public at all. But later the other staff admitted that Amornia made up the rule ..... So I came back try to talk to her again but there is another lady told me she would took over the conversation meanwhile a parent came over and said my son pushed her daughter earlier , I apologized to her and told her I would ask my son to apologized to her daughter too, she walked away and soon she left with her daughter. At the same time while I talked to the other staff and the parent, Amornia gossiped me LOUDLY to other parents and repeat that " this is just common sense !!!" my friends was over heard their conversation while I was talking the other staff. After I got the email of the place and the staff's name, I sit back , 5 mins later, the other staff came over and asked me to leave because this is their another house rule . I am very confused for the following reason: 1) why the staff can made up a rule without any apologize even it find out she was wrong to present the house rule within 10 mins she yelling at me. 2) why the staff can yelled at a customer and answer the question with " this is common sense" 3) I didn't have confrontation with other parent , I apologized , why I still get kick out after the parent already left with her kid. 4) I wrote a email to the owner since she was not on the site, an email replied with no name and just gave me an lecture with no apology and stated that they have to asked me leave because : they offered both parties to leave to avoid any additional confrontation.( I put the email in the picture) 5) is that normal for a business replied an email but not put any name on? I emailed again asked who is the person reply this email behalf this business but no one replied. it has been 4 days. 6) their email did say that they work extremely hard to make sure that they keep their standards high, so is that normal high standard for the staff to present the wrong house rule with that attitude? 7) if a confrontation happen, should the staff try to de-escalate or should she gossiped on the site with a very load voice ? this action was high standard ? or just unprofessional...... 8) I would think the owner care her business so maybe it is a good idea have an email address provided to the customer that the owner actually could read. 9) I came here before with my husband and his two friends, we were treated different. A bit disappointed, especially given the price and reservation policy. We were excited to try this place for the first time--my kids were thrilled--but the experience didn't meet our expectations. For over $60 just to get in, I expected better organization. The place was completely packed, and when we tried to order food, there were no available tables or chairs. Many tables were being "reserved" by bags or jackets, even though no one was actually using them to eat, which was really frustrating. Strollers were also randomly placed around the area, blocking pathways and making it hard to navigate. While I will say the place was clean and they did offer slippers outside the restrooms (a nice touch), the bathrooms themselves looked outdated compared to the renovated play space. Overall, it was a stressful experience. It would really help if the reservation included a table for families planning to eat, and maybe a separate area with just chairs for parents who are there to supervise would make things flow more smoothly. My kids are 3 and 5 and had a decent time, so if your kids are older than 8, I don't think it would be enjoyable. Came on Memorial Day and when I first walked in I noticed an odor that seems to be coming from the restroom. The restrooms weren't renovated like the play area so thankfully they offer slippers for the restrooms, cause I wouldn't go in there with just my socks on. The play area looks larger in photos, but it's actually pretty small. If your child likes to pretend play, they would enjoy it. In the middle by the seating area, there is a small section for babies to play. Sometimes there isn't any staff members at the front. While I was there for my two hours, I noticed one mom who was trying to leave, but had to go find a staff member to help let her out. & When you do leave, there is a prize cart where your child can redeem a prize before leaving with the $1 Looma Dollar you get when you first come in. They offer decent meals and snacks at the cafe, but we had lunch before arriving so didn't get a chance to try the cafe food. I did order 2 coffee (vanilla latte and a dalgona) but drinks were 3/5. The facility looks like there was thought and care put into putting the place together initially. My issue and basis for my 2 star rating is with the ongoing maintenance and upkeep of the place. Kids will wear things down and be messy. The place is showing the wear and tear already. Lots of worn play areas and chipped paint. The toilets were broken. Cleanliness was an issue too. The moment you walk in, you see a dirty glass door covered in hand prints. Nobody was emptying the trash, so the trash can was overflowing. The tabletops weren't wiped down or cleared off. They seemed understaffed, a place that size needs a dedicated person to clean and keep things in order. What a fun indoor playground! It's modern and nicely decorated, but I think my favorite part is the full cafe and food menu. We didn't get to order since we planned to grab dinner after but it's such a great option for parents and families! We booked ahead online for a 2-hour play session on a Saturday afternoon. Make sure to book ahead and sign waivers ahead of time so your kid isn't waiting around too long in the lobby while you check in. L The place was packed when we walked in! There were no tables available in sight so we just parked our friends stroller and stood around the play area with the kids. They have a small area for the smaller babies which is nice if they can't move around too much or if you don't want them trampled by bigger kids. It would be nice if they have a younger age only session available (i.e. under age 5) so they can safely maneuver the activities. There is one slide but at check in they recommended that it's only for ages 4 and up. It's a bit steep but it's all wood so not really the best if the kid leans back onto it while sliding. Overall super cute place, I saw they had a pizza making class for older kids while we were there. There is even a fun Photo Booth in the corner and you can email the photos to yourself for free. The themed areas were cute but low on toys or they were just not put back in place, for example the kitchen barely had any food toys... maybe they just didn't have the staff to roam around and put things back often like I've seen at other play places. My favorite part though is the toy money they give the kids at check-in (each kid gets $1) and you get to redeem it for a prize before you leave. This is super genius because it's a good way for parents to be able to get the kids out the door! If you're a parent you know how difficult it can be to leave a fun place. Took my two kids (5 and 6) and my mother here on our way down from the San Francisco Bay Area. We've been to indoor play spaces all over and we were so impressed with Looma Space! The space was immaculately clean (aside from the bathroom which was the only area we felt could use some TLC). The staff is friendly and gracious. The play space is uniquely designed with so much to offer--both in regards to interactive and practical life play and areas to get the wiggles out like slides and ball pits. The cafe menu was super extensive and good quality. We ordered snacks, coffee (for myself) and ended up staying for dinner. So practical and great for both the kids and the adults. The space is so thoughtfully designed to allow for rest and relaxation while watching the kids play---you can tell that a great deal of time and effort went into creating it. There are screens on either end that allow you to see your children even in the "blind spots", but most of the play area is visible to those seated in the table areas. The overall vibe is light, bright and inviting. Each child receives a "Looma Dollar" to select a prize at the end of their visit. Sweet idea and very smart way to incentivize the kids to leave, because otherwise they probably never would!! The price may seem steep, but when you think about what you get, I think it's reasonable. Most play spaces offer 90-minute sessions, but Looma Space offers 3 hours. There is an option to buy play packages which works out to cost less per visit (for the locals). Thoughtful suggestions: - lower the volume of the music and/or play music that's a little less overstimulating (I had to wear earplugs, but I am extra sensitive) -a little TLC/more regularly cleaning in the bathroom to match the high level of cleanliness throughout the rest of the facility -add a filtered water station for refilling water bottles Otherwise, I wouldn't change a thing! A very bright and clean playspace for young children. It's got a ball room with a projector video game, a huge play castle with slides and easy climbing, and dozens of educational activities like a spelling board and play kitchens. People who come here tend to be very nice and interested in giving children a nice place to play. The staff is pretty fairly good and help you check in easily and run the area well. Another huge draw is the waiting/dining area for adults and families. It has cameras which allow you to monitor your child in normally hard to see areas. This is one of the best indoor playgrounds I have ever been to. They offer a beautiful room for personal birthday parties, as well. We elected to take my niece here for a one on one birthday celebration. She enjoyed playing and eating some of their delicious food at their cafe. The play area offers touchscreen games, slides, slides, and much more. The staff are extremely kind, the facility was clean, and it is located in a nice area with plenty of parking. I recommend reserving tickets online a few days in advance and bringing grip socks for the kids to play. It was especially nice to have television monitors to view my niece playing, and the exit is secured, so there is a great sense of security. She also got to pick a toy out from their treasure chest to take home after. Loved this place! read more
