After two years of rocking a nasty, crusty helix I finally decided to try resizing and see if it would help my situation. Even though I ran a little late for my appointment (so sorry, don't do this), they were still willing to help me out. I went to Monarch today to get my septum pierced and had the most pleasant experience I've ever had in a piercing studio. Kelly, my piercer, was one of the most kind and genuine people that I have had the pleasure of speaking with. When I asked her about the background of the shop I came to find out that Monarch is the only piercing-only studio in Tennessee and also the only shop in Tennessee meeting industry standards for complete sterility - even the markers she uses are one-time use! I had such a good experience at this piercing shop. I scheduled an appointment online for a conch piercing and a consultation - I was able to receive a discount because I scheduled online. My piercer was Kelly - she was great! Super nice, patient, and she took the time to answer all of my questions and help me choose the jewelry that was right for me. I ended up getting a conch piercing as well as a cartilage piercing. The price for the piercings is $45 - and the jewelry that I chose was about $100. This is but pricer than average - but the earrings are gold and some have gemstones which makes them a little more expensive. And although I chose the gold option they do offer a variety of more affordable jewelry as well. All in all I was very happy with my experience and I highly recommend this piercing shop. Omg! I absolutely love Monarch! Let's start with the vibe of the shop. It is definitely not like your "typically" shop with dragons, demons, and fire on the wall. Next is Rex (?), who welcomed me in with the warmest greeting and made me feel comfortable with snacks for myself and my friends while we waiting for Kelly. He answered all of my questions with a good attitude, which was nice. Then there is Kelly, omg talk able style and professionalism. The vibe of the private room to get service was so clean. It reminded me of a doctor's office. She told me what was going to happen at each phase and answered all my questions. He used all NEW AND CLEAN supplies to do my nostril piercing. The girl used alcohol and Iodine to clean my nose! Never had it like that before and I'm experienced in this game. They do sterilized test on all jewelry so you will know that it is clean. She made my friends feel welcomed. The shop is bomb. I got what I paid for which was a good experience, clean and new supplies, knowledgeable and experienced professional, and good customer service. This was my first ever piercing experience. The shop was neat, clean, the decorations amazing (Kelly made most of them herself - check out her penny countertop), the jewelry selection was great. She pierced my daith, for migraine relief, after explaining there were no guarantees it would help. Aftercare was thoroughly discussed (sterile saline spray and leave it alone). My migraines have dropped from chronic to episodic since the piercing and I credit Kelly for her expertise and knowledge. I cannot rave on this place enough. First time I went in to get a double lobe piercing. My first holes were done at Claire's when I was young and so uneven. As a result of that I never wore earrings in the first holes so I was so excited to get new holes that were even. After looking at my ears kelly repierced one of the original holes to make them even free of charge. After she fixed that problem she pierced the doubles and they looked so good. Flash forward to today when I went in to get my helix done. The place was pretty busy but kelly was so professional and made time to make sure each customer got exactly what they wanted. She is the absolute best! While prices are higher you are getting jewelry that is best there is. She sterilizes everything for you and takes you through everything. Monarch is the cleanest piercing business I've ever seen. They are super professional and make sure that everything is sterile before they pierce anything, which made me feel very comfortable with the process. Excellent customer service! I spent a long time looking online for good piercing shops around the Chattanooga area. Monarch Body Piercings was one of the first results. They had a beautiful website which contained all of their information and Prices (something you apparently don't find very often) and they seemed super nice. I continued to look around for other shops just in case, but nothing I found even came close to comparing with Monarch. Monarch Body Piercings was exceptionally clean and neat, and their APA certification was like the cherry on the top. They have a large variety of beautiful jewelry on display for you to look at if the piercer is talking to someone else at the moment. My friend and I went for a consult about her (possibly infected) recent ear piercings and even though they were done by another Shop, the guy at Monarch took great interest in examining her ears and explaining how to take care of them and avoid infection. The first time I got my ears pierced was at Claire's and they got horribly infected. I let them grow back in because it was just such a bad experience. I did a ton of research on this place, so I decided to try again. The front desk was so polite, and Kelly gave me so much information as to what she was going to do and how to keep up with them to avoid infection. They were so knowledgeable , and I was so excited when she finished that I had to give her a hug haha.
