*LOCAL-RUN - INEXPENSIVE TACOS*
Just across from Divas Tours/Taxi is a sidewalk taco stand owned and operated by one of the driver's lovely wife - Mona. Her small, inexpensive taco stand has reasonable prices and simple, delicious fare that is a great fill-up after a long day on the beach or a slow stroll in the evenings.
I had 2 beef tacos and a delicious shrimp taco with a buttery grilled shrimp, an extra large bottle of cola and an endless supply of condiments and home cooked white beans in the pot for about 69 pesos or $4 USD. They also had some delicious local red drink they had me try, from some red plant - can't remember the name but it was good! Supposed to help with the digestion?
They seem to be newly opened and they will soon be adding a BBQ and some nice features.
They had a brand new hospital-grade hand wash station which is a welcome change for street food here.
This is about as local as you can get! I had a lovely time just sitting and meeting new people and chatting with the owners. Highly recommend.
Ask them which fish is fresh - it changes - I hear marlin is coming in a couple weeks - hope I'm still around to try that!
Location/hours:
I "think" that address is correct - but Look for the brick arches on the roof of building across from Divas and the orange handmade sign. (See Photo)
I believe hours are about 6 p.m until - whenever they close I guess? Not sure about Sunday/Monday's. read more
