This was one of our favorite places to come for breakfast. We made it here 3 times in our 1-week visit. Maria's has the absolute BEST PANCAKES & WAFFLES! They are a must try. If I could buy the batter or recipe off of them to bring back to the states, I definitely would. A-List. Beautiful outdoor seating. Comfortable chairs and decent wood tables. Candlelight for those having an evening dinner. Excellent (strong) drinks and the cabernet was of sufficient volume and smooth throughout. The food was very good - tuna with couscous and the chicken with sweet potatoes and asparagus. Both dishes were satisfying and of sufficient quality. Of note, the brie appetizer was also very good with a mustard sauce, sliced apples and orange puree. Fresh bread also accompanied our meal and was super fresh, soft and buttery. The service was prompt, accurate and respectful. This business accepts CREDIT CARDS. Excellent! We went on a Monday night for dinner and the live music. Another review recommended reservations so we emailed wanting a reservation for 6:30. The band played from 6:50-9:00pm. They were good, we had a great table. The staff was great and looked like they enjoy working there. Many people were recognized and heartily welcomed. The lime margarita was tasty as a start. They have a good enough wine list too. We had the tuna tartar and it was simply awesome! So fresh and flavorful and BIG. Blurred pix because I was so excited. ;) My wife had the salmon pear salad- delightful pairing of the two and the salad was crisp and clean. We both had the shrimp in mango sauce for our mains. Nice big shrimp drizzled with a well balanced sauce. Interesting the rice and salad also were very flavorful without being overbearing in any way. As we came from Sayulita we needed a taxi for the return trip. Maria contacted a taxi for us and got us at the door. Great night of music and food. I would return in a heartbeat. read more

We've been a fan of Maria's since she first opened up her first shop down near the beach. She's now in her third location and still providing some of the best food in town. Originally specializing in breakfast they now offer excellent lunch and dinner options and often have live music. Prices are a little higher than most other offerings in town but the quality of the food and service more than supports the cost. Maria and her staff are by far the friendliest in town and the food will always be exceptional. read more

The place must be very popular with tourists as it is always full. The place is immaculately clean, you look into a spotless kitchen and the food is so tasty while still very original.
