We love this spot which is across from the mercado municipal near the foot bridge in centri P.V. Definitely a local lunch spot as there were a group of polocia here amongst other regulars. People are conversing w/1 another while eating. This is a wrap around friendly counter w/about 25 stools You watch the folks cook your meal which is very cool. We had basic Mexican dishes . Prices are very good. Quick service. Agua frescos are popular. No alcohol.

Delicious food and kind staff work here. Sitting at the wrap around counter was fun. I had the carne asada comidas I also ordered a 1.5 liter bottled water. The total cost for all was 140. The homemade salsa was delicious!

I feel like I've eaten at this place maybe before Yelp. Little family run cafe type lunch spot. They are very busy with take out orders and a few folks in and out as we ate. Had a rice pudding that was awesome and a chicken burrito with rice and been and 2 waters came to 6.00 US I would give this a 5 star if the young guy cooking was wearing gloves to make food, I see him wiping his hands on a dirty dish towel and making food. Not my standard but that's up to you. Food was good and tasted fresh.

We sought out the top rated Yelp lunch spots in PV but found that none accepted credit cards. By the time we backtracked to find an ATM, those restaurants were quite a haul so we chanced Loncheria Don Jorge. Things really worked out for us! Prices are dirt cheap and service is efficient. The food was excellent and the loncheria is close to other shopping which makes the area appear much safer than some of the other Yelp 5 star locations. It's the perfect place for lunch near the malecon but bring pesos and espanol. You won't get the full experience without those in hand.

Best taqueria we went to in Puerto Vallarta. Local & authentic...everything is made to Order, fresh & delicious...can't wait to go back on my next trip!

Fast and cheap Mexican food. Near the Mercado, food is good, don't forget to ask for the daily specials (not on menu). Place is pretty busy as they do a lot of to go orders, expect to wait a little even thought it may look not busy.

While the wait can be a bit unpredictable, it's usually not too long, especially during the summer. However, if you visit in the winter, it can take a while. The food here is reasonably priced and the portions are generous. The only thing that confuses me is the fruit water of the day. The cups are incredibly small, and for 30 pesos, I expected more. I've noticed that some tables have their water refilled, while others have been changed. I'm not sure if this is a policy or just a coincidence. The service is okay, but nothing extraordinary. They have a limited number of tables and don't have air conditioning, so it can get quite hot inside and outside. However, you're here to eat and go, so don't expect a sit-down experience. One important thing to note is that they only accept cash. So, make sure to bring some pesos with you.

It's thicker, more cheesy than what I've ever had before and very delicious. We paired that with the prime rib tacos, it was a plate stacked with meat and 4 tortillas under it, more than we could eat. The seasoning was great, it was diced so small that it was easy to eat. I got a virgin strawberry margarita, the wife got a coke. It was very affordable.

The ribeye had so much fat that we had to pick through it just to eat it. The al pastor was very average - I've had much better at plenty of other taco spots. The biggest disappointment was the chorizo. It wasn't traditional chorizo at all; it looked and tasted more like chopped-up hot dogs. We barely touched it because it wasn't what we ordered expecting, and it just wasn't good. The presentation also wasn't appealing. The meat was simply piled on top of two tortillas, making everything messy and difficult to eat. They were also pretty stingy with the grilled jalapeños. The salsas didn't do the food any favors either. None of them really stood out, and the green guacamole salsa actually tasted like it had gone bad, so we stopped eating it. Service was attentive, but almost too attentive. Staff kept coming by every few minutes to ask if we were finished or if we needed anything. While I appreciate good service, it made us feel like we were being rushed through our meal instead of being able to enjoy it at our own pace. Overall, I don't understand the high ratings based on our experience. With so many amazing taco spots in Puerto Vallarta, this one didn't come close to meeting the hype. Unfortunately, we won't be coming back.
