I've always grabbed two bowls. One for noodles and one for everything else. I get to the sauces and the "chef" basically tells me that if I'm using two bowls that I'm going to pay for two bowls. I said since win and he just repeated what he said. So I asked you want me to put this on here telling him that I would put the noodles on top of everything else and he said yes. I don't really understand what the difference is and I've never had them. Ask me to do that before or tell me that if I used two bowls that I would be charged for two bowls when I'm using one for noodles and one for everything else. Yeah Patty, I'm sure but in all the years that I've ever gone to Mongolian barbecue which is probably to say a few hundred times I've never been told that I had to use one bowl for everything. I always use one bowl for the noodles and the sauce and the other bowl for everything else. And that bowl that I had to dump the noodles out of and all of the sauce into the other bowl went right to the end where all the other dirty dishes go, so I don't really understand what the problem is. There is another gentleman in there with one it look like a medium size bowl and a smaller bowl and he said nothing to that guy about using only one. I only put four because that dude was irritating. Pros- Great selection of many vegetables and proteins, and everything appears to be fresh and crisp. The buffet bar was clean, but the restaurant was just moderately busy.. Great taste on everything I ordered and service was fast. Packaging was well done, and no sauce dripped out of the bag on my drive home. Cons- This should have been a5-starr review, but I need to deduct one star for the sad expression on all the employees' faces. I even said hello to the cook as he was preparing my order, but he never made eye contact and never said a word. There is a sign up front at the cash register that says all meals come with rice and soup. When I asked about the soup, they told me that it was only for dine-in orders. Then why isn't that listed on their sign? So, I had to deduct another star for that. I have to say, this place is very hidden in the back of this strip mall and you might drive right by it if you aren't looking. I have been here twice now and both times have been really fantastic. the food is extremely fresh. the place is clean. the servers and the chefs are all nothing but kind and accommodating. I could honestly eat here every single day, i'm not kidding! I got the medium bowl ($10) with chicken, beef, broccoli, mushrooms, scallions, red bell peppers, snap peas, and teriyaki sauce, and a splash of sesame oil. they have a ton of sauces and veggies and a few different meats. you pick your bowl up as high as you can and then they cook it right in front of you. they also bring rice and egg drop soup to the table which is unlimited. And the value is SKY HIGH. You need understand what you yourself like and put together a bowl that works for you. Make sure you get some sweet and savory, make sure you get some salty and spicy, and don't forget to add oil, but if you know what you're doing here it'll be 10/10 every time. Typical Mongolian BBQ joint. Lots of fresh veggies. For lunch they have pork, beef and chicken for protein options. I got a little of all three and my favorite was the pork. The beef was super lean, meaning it turned rather dry when cooking. I used a LOT of the flavoring sauces available, but still had to add soy sauce and chili paste when it was cooked. It still ended up kind of bland. Getting their biggest size resulted in a good amount of leftovers for lunch the next day. This was probably the best part. This is a meal that definitely tastes better after it sits. The meal comes with a bowl of steamed rice and soup. I passed on both because the noodles would be more than enough carbs and the soup was egg drop, which I'm personally not a fan of. Service was friendly and quick with our sodas. Looked like they had beer in a cooler near the front, but I didn't see a menu offering anything else. This place looks a little run down, but seemed clean. The staff seemed to also keep the food options in the bar stocked. I've been to better Mongolian places in the Valley, but I wouldn't pass this one up if I was near it and wanted a big bowl of noodles. read more

MONGO! Well, I was a bit nervous when I first arrived at the Mongolian BBQ that is kitty-corner to Winco off of Fairview. However, I was hungry and my boyfriend talked me into it. There are more veggies at the end of the buffet, so don't forget to save room in your bowl. The meat confused me a little bit because it is frozen. I guess that is how it is suppose to be, but be ready to be in a little bit of shock when you see it. There were lots of sauce options, and boy, do I love sauce! I had no idea what to put in the sauce, so thankfully mongo-expert boyfriend came to the rescue! Looks like he went heavy on the Mongo, Soy, Something Spicy, and Garlic. Love this place. We were told whenever you visit Boise you have to go to Mongolian BBQ. Our waitress was amazing, but the food was even better. Love all of the sauces. The veggies are so good, fresh. The restaurant is clean and the cooks are friendly and very helpful with choosing which combo of sauces to use. I thought I could do an all you can eat and started with the medium bowl. I couldn't eat more than half of it, I can't wait for my leftover later today. I would recommend this place to anyone who likes good stir-fry. Having had this repeatedly and in many different locations across the years, I've seen a number of different ways of offering this, including one place that wanted to directly control both the portions and contents. This is more of the usual, three different sizes of bowls (one person when I was there tried to use the largest bowl and insisted that there was only a medium amount in there because morons - the whole point of this is to overload the bowls, not try to scam the $ 2-3 difference in bowl size) and a healthy selection of various items. I went mostly veggie and meat and even though it was Krab meat, it definitely served the bill to get me the Mongolian fix I was craving at the time. I've seen more selection and quite a bit less. What was there was on the fresher side and in good shape. Flavorings were about in the middle also, but it was well cooked once I got it, as was the rice that came with it. Hot tea selection needs some work, but if I lived in the area, I would probably eat here all the time. As it is, this is probably going to be added to my list of regular stops for when I am in the area. All around very good job and this place should be getting a lot more love than it is. read more

This is my favorite stir fry place I've ever been to, including a number of places in the Seattle area. These guys have been here easily at least 15 years and still the same people and at least close to the same prices. You will get as much food as you can eat and they will make sure you enjoy your food. They don't charge extra for overly full bowls, which is amazing in this day and age, and will add sauces with your permission if they see that it will be too dry. Highly recommended!
