I did a semi-frantic Yelp search to find something that was open, delivered to the hotel, and was something my kids would eat. Calzones weren't really on my radar, but the search led me to this place and I'm glad it did! The menu is pretty big with lots of fun choices. I ordered directly from Yelp on my phone, which is always a little bit of a pain (not the restaurant's problem), but was still able to customize a couple of our choices to match exactly what we wanted. The delivery was WAY faster than expected, and the delivery guy called just before he got to the hotel to let me know he was on the way. Everyone was very happy with our choices-- chewy crust with nice crispy edges, and plenty of fillings (but not so much that they slopped all over and made them impossible to eat). The favorites were the combat zone and the firecracker. Extra dipping sauce was tasty too. Unfortunately I probably won't be back anytime soon, but that's only because I don't live here haha....if I was a local I could easily see this place being a favorite.

The lettuce was fresh and crisp. Excellent French dressing. The Coke Zero - crispy! Delicious. The calzone was a decent size, not too big and not too small, perfect for one really hungry person, or just enough for two to split and not feel gypt. The crust was perfectly done, nice chew, good bake, and delicious yeasty dough. Loads of ham and pineapple, and delicious melty cheese. The calzone came with a side of marinara for dipping. Next time, I will add jalapeños, if I order it again. I might have given Patricio's five stars had it not been for two main issues: 1) the marinara was cold. Had the sauce been warm, it would have won me over, and 2) the calzone's fillings needed some oomph, like maybe some seasonings, a sprinkle of oregano and garlic powder, or maybe smoked ham instead of regular, and maybe sprinkle some Parmesan for a little umami in with the mozzarella, just to give the filling some extra flavor. It needed something to take the tastebuds to that five star range. Even so, we agreed we will go back and try other things on the menu. He looked startled that I questioned him in person and he stated that the phones weren't working (he always uses this as an excuse for being rude to customers over the phone). Even if your phones aren't working, then you need to tell me that instead of being rude and hanging up. We have lived in this town for a long time and the town has always talked about how the owner is very kind or very very rude to his customers. Padano's, we will never order from you again. I ordered a slice of plain cheese, and it was ready to go in just a few minutes. The crust was pillowy around the edges and floppy near the pie's center, thanks to the sauce and slight grease from the cheese. The sauce is mostly or all crushed tomato and slightly sweet. The mozzarella was evenly layered. As a standalone slice, the point got a little more cooked than the outer crust which maybe wanted more time. For group orders they circle multiple slices on the same pan, and I'd bet they cook more evenly. Almost everyone in the shop ordered a slice with at least one topping, and there are some great looking specialty slices. I look forward to trying them soon!
