I Love Monica's tacos. They also do catering. It was a huge hit at our reception. The food was cooked to order as the guests went buffet style. It was priced right and they service was fast and friendly. They cleaned up and left as timely as they set up and arrived. We got to keep the left overs. Everyone loved it. read more

This place has really gotten busy. Unfortunately they have not had a chance to keep up. The parking situation is awful.The seating is worse very poor design and overcrowded. Definitely could use a remodel to accommodate more patrons. The 2 people working were busting their ass to try to keep up but they definitely need some back up. I should have known from the moment that I walked in that I was making a mistake! The cashier had her mask on half way, not covering her nose at all, and the cook had his on his forehead. I put two bottles of coke on the counter and ordered 2 chili verde plates. My husband was with me, hence the two orders and 2 drinks. After I paid, the cashier said she only charged me for 1 Coke. I just put the other one away, not wanting to have to get out of my debit card again. We went out to the car and waited. When I came back in she had 1 chili verde plate ready. I asked where the other one was. She said I only ordered one. The older lady in there rudely grabbed my ticket and showed me that I had only paid for one. I said no. It was supposed to be two chili's verde plates and two Cokes! Remember? I just said never mind and took my one plate. I won't be going back. You'd think if you put your name on the wall, you would ensure you and your staff followed health code and great customer service. Monicas is our go to for good tacos in the High Desert. The tacos are good quality, salsa is fire and setting is casual and friendly.

I've gone to Monica's off and on for over ten years. The carne asada is great, but they're stingy with servings. Mine and my daughters orders are never correct. Oh, and the salsa... it's great. It really is. Just be sure you check how much salsa is filled up in the little containers before you leave if you have a take out order. If you ask for more salsa after checking your order out in the car, you'll be asked to pay for it. A little ridiculous, but it is what it is. I'd give three stars, but orders are never right and customer service isn't always good. read more

This is my favorite place to get carne asada tacos in the high desert! Their carne asada is so tender and flavorful. They have this red sauce that is very spicy and flavorful. I've gotten a carne asada burrito from there but it wasn't that good; it was just lacking in substance and small. read more

Great food and excited that they opened a second location also on "I" Ave. in Hesperia on the Mesa. The previous mexican food that was at this same location was dissapointing to say the least. Monicas Tacos increased the square footage and gave the place an overhaul by remodeling. Spotless inside and very effecient at cleaning tables etc. when people left. Tostadas are to die for with an excellent shell that they deep fry themselves. Can't beat the prices. So excited to have a good mexican food place on the mesa. read more

Reusing Food? We had our sons First Birthday catered by Monica's Tacos. We had used them years ago for our wedding and liked them so decided to go with them again. We only had 22 people there, but had to pay for 50. Which was fine, we were told we would get all the leftovers(which we did at our wedding). They we're not very friendly when they arrived. Once they we're done, they started packing up. I asked where the rest of the food went, that we were told we got to keep the leftovers. The guy got an attitude with me, then finally brought the food back out. He gave us a few scoops of the meats and said that was all we got. We told them no, we paid for 50 people. He said they bring extra food, and that they had another party after ours. They got their boss on the phone, who told us that they bring extra food(for 75 people) and that they had another event. So what? Your going to serve the next party old food, mix it in with their food?! They couldn't answer that! We will never use Monica's Tacos again, they have become extremely un professional, are serving leftover food? read more

Really it's a 3.8 it was pretty good not bad! We strolled in on a Sunday afternoon, and ordered the torta combination plate that comes with rice and beans and also got a couple tacos! Our friend ordered a wet burrito and the carne asada fries. The carne asada fries were good all the meat was fresh and tastey! Only downs were; torta bread was really thick and tasted dry, the rice seemed a lil undercooked, beans were a lil on the salty side and the burrito had a tad bit too much tortilla. Lol all minor things nothing to really keep me from eating there again! Overall it was good and service was great!
