I had lunch on a Monday and asked if they had any menudo left over from the weekend. I was delighted to hear they had plenty. I ordered a bowl with hominy and a can of coke. The tripe appeared to have been boiled in plain water and refrigerated as it had zero flavor unlike traditional menudo with the tripe cooked in the broth and seasoning. The hominy also was flavorless and seemed to have been added to the previously prepared broth. They provided no limes, onions or cilantro. so a bowl of whetto menudo and a can of coke was $20. Love this place. Favorites gotta be the chicken taco cooked in red sauce (dont get it any other way) and the al pastor taco. Get some green sauce on the side, its really good. Folks here are super nice, and the older guy always makes the tacos the best. And definitely come on a tuesday or wednesday for their taco deal. Its killer. So I've been very excited about this place I would often see in passing going to work ! I love a great hole in the wall gem ! So I go in today it's very clean , the customer service was great! Please keep it up! So I ordered 3 tacos, 2 carne asada and one al pastor taco. The tacos were ok but they are very tiny. I paid $4 and some change and I have attached some photos with my air-pod case next to them so you can see how small they are. Now I don't mind paying $4 if the flavor of the meat or the salsa is outstanding but it was not anything spectacular. It was NOT disgusting just mediocre. Also I did not like that they put a lemon in my bag without putting it in a container or a sandwich baggy for sanitary reasons. I pulled up to an empty parking lot. I sat in my car for 10 minutes before going inside just to read the reviews. The reviews sounded great so I turned my car off and went in to order. They greeted me as we walked in. I ordered 2 carnitas taco, 3 asada taco, 1 chicken taco and a bowl or menudo. The food came out fast and hot. To bad I can't say the same for the taste, it's very bland. The meat seemed like it was microwaved. The menudo tasted like it was just boiled water. Every table was dirty and there were flys everywhere! I defiantly wouldn't come back to this place! Not even if I was PAID to!! No wonder why Taco Bell got best Mexican food. This place is great if you get what you're buying going in. They make authentic fantastic Mexican food and it's so cheap. Menu is written in hand. The place has no ac. Drinks in a cooler. Do not let them out salsa on your street tacos or anything else. Get it on the side unless you really dig hot and I mean hot hot sauce. Place has 79 cents street tacos on Tuesday and Wednesday. You can see guy right behind the counter making the food. They charge an extra 50 Cents for using a card. That's annoying. But it's so cheap it doesn't really matter. Friendly nice guys.
