I Had Terrible Experience By Mayco Auto repair. I was…read moreReferred by a Friend to here, But that was my worst experience in mechanic shops I ever Had. That's unbelievable. I took my Truck there with Running engine for repair. I asked them estimate, they wanted me to wait for 1 Hour. After that they gave me estimate of $4500 for some repairs on the Truck. It looked expensive to me and I wanted to Try another mechanic to make sure I'm not being over charged. Guess what? They car was not Running any more. They opened many parts from engine. I asked the mechanic to put it back on, He was very Rude and said: NO, YOU NEED TO PAY AT LEAST 4-5 Hours Labor to me, (4x$120), Minimum $500 to put them back on. They never had my permission to take off parts from engine for Diagnostic. I asked Manager to Talk and the Manager was even Worst and Rude. He was forcing to charge me. They never put parts back and I Had to get Tow truck to take out my car because I was sure their plan is to just charge you, No matter what. I called Tow truck to come and take it to another mechanic. Finally they charge me $100 for Diagnosing fee and my car was Not running any more. I payed a lot to tow the car to different mechanics and No one touched the car because some else took parts out and cut the bolts off. A few weeks later any other mechanics recommended me to take it to the original shop who took the engine apart and ask the to put parts back and make engine running like it was originally for Diagnosing and repair. I went back to the shop and talked to the Manager Which still was so Rude. Asked Him to fix the Car With His original Estimate around $4500. Guess what? This time he said $6500 for same repair. What normal person or Owner Does that? That was unbelievable. I asked them to do at least for $5500 for same original estimate of $4500. Same work just because I left and had to come back. They knew it and it was part of their plan. The manager said No. You have to pay $6500, Nothing less. I asked him to put the parts back like originally and pay him the labor he wanted. He Said No. I told the Owner I will leave reviews and let other people know about it. He said Do it, I Don't Care about reviews. I had to leave because I was sure even if I pay them the $6500 they never fix it and then want $10,000. The whole car Doesn't worth more that $6000. This company and the owner is completely dishonest. Completely…read more I took my car to Mike many many years ago for a prebuy. During that encounter, I will NEVER forget how disrespectfully he spoke to his mother who was at the counter helping him run his business. After moving back to Houston and desperately looking for a trustworthy TDi mechanic, I decided to give him another try. It was a huge mistake. Mysteriously, Mike and team said my car had an issue with the immobilizer and would not run. I happen to know quite a bit about these cars. So I played along, waiting for Mike to fix the "issue" with the car. Days of waiting for them to get the work done became weeks. And weeks became months. Frustrated, I found reputable people online who repair the clusters from these cars. They go on to tell me that Mike is lying because the year and model of my car make what he claims the issue to be impossible. I called literally every week for an update and got the same answer "Mike isn't around, can I take a message?" Never did I get a call back. Never did I get a reply to my emails. So, after six months I had the car towed across Houston to another shop, and intentionally didn't tell them about what Mike had said. A few hours after it was towed there they call me and we're very confused. The shop owner literally said "there's nothing wrong with this car." He programmed the keys (which I could have done myself) and it ran perfectly. There was and is no issue with the immobilizer. There is and was no issue with the speedometer cluster. I've now been driving it for about a year without a single problem. Mike is dishonest. The guy who answers the phone for Mike and lies for him is dishonest. And, who talks to their mother that way? 2008 and I'll never forget what I saw from a grown man on that day. I was warned, and now you have been, too. Let me clarify a few things here just so there's nothing left for interpretation. As the business owner states I did not "finally" pick up my vehicle. You never fixed my vehicle. You never answered or returned my calls You never replied to my emails (photos of which I'll upload here for future prospective customers to see). If you didn't reply all you have to do is post those photos.... But you never did. So, after you failing to be able to program keys to a car, again something I've done myself to VW's, another shop did it in under an hour. You just didn't care and you made no effort to communicate with me at all. Ever.

All they see $$$$ walkin thru the door. But thank God I found C C Auto. shop! They've been my mechanic for years!!! When they say they fixed something, they FIX IT!!! Not patch it up, not kinda fix so it breaks in the next 6 months so you have to come back to them & spend MORE $$!!! The owner Mr. Henry is a truly honest man & knows his stuff. Their pricing is very fair. This shop is the last of a dying breed: Honest mechanics that actually love working on vehicles & helping people w/o scamming & price gauging the crap out of them.
