Cool spot- they actually give back to the community, unlike some other thrift shops. They had a lot of cool shoes, and I got a green sparkly pair of chucks for $13! I really enjoyed my time in here, and they take Apple Pay, cards, and cash.

I just left this store after my first visit - the girl at the counter ADDED A 1 IN FRONT OF THE 7 on the tag of a pair of vintage Levi's jeans I bought. It was very obvious, but they were closing & it's my birthday & I didn't want to ruin it by calling her out & making a whole big thing of it. But I want her to know that I know what she did. Unbelievable.

Very organized. Maybe a little lower than typical Austin thrift prices. The employees are nice.

Solid thrift store with a decent selection of men's clothes. Scored a few bargains while I was there. Parking is easy, staff were friendly.

Super cute and well organized. But there's only one changing room so that was kind of a pain

I really appreciate that Treasure City is still requiring masks. It's not a big ask, but most places seem to have given up entirely.

Great selection, reasonable prices. A good mixture of consignment/higher-end and thrift store finds. Highly recommend.

In addition, you'll be able to find items from various eras as far back as the 30s through the 70s. I've seen some stuff there even older than the 30s. Everything is of exceptional quality and condition. Not only do they sell but they buy as well. If you've got vintage wear you'd like to get rid of, try them. They give cash or credit for things they'll buy from folks. As with most stores like this, you'll get more in store credit for your stuff. Fun fact: they've also got a location in Waco.

With a contrast of muted colors at the next-door boutique, Charm School Vintage is full of color, textures, and flavor chic. According the store manager, each piece in the shop is purchased directly and not on consignment. One rack is white to off-white bohemian chick pieces. While all clothing is vintage, there are a few modern items such as journals. The store manager was super friendly and made me feel I was the only one in the store. This was the perfect spot for anyone who loves fashion with a bit of spice. Prices are in a rather broad range - from inexpensive amount to a bit pricey.

If you have young kids, I wouldn't recommend bringing them here. As soon as we walked in, my two-year-old accidentally stepped in front of the employee, and her reaction was surprisingly rude. She immediately told me she was overstimulated and doesn't like kids in the store. She said he could sit on the couch but wasn't allowed to walk around. I understand setting boundaries if a child is being disruptive, but we had literally just walked in, and he wasn't misbehaving.... just being a toddler. I explained that he's only two and it's not realistic to expect him to sit still the entire time. After that, she gave me a dirty look and continued to stare at us while I tried to shop, even though I kept him right by my side the whole time. In the end, we decided not to spend our money somewhere that made us feel so unwelcome. It was disappointing, especially since we were looking forward to supporting local shops. Just a heads up for other parents this may not be the most kid-friendly place, and you might not feel comfortable shopping there with little ones.

Parking lot is tiny and a little difficult to get in and out of since it's just spots practically right along the street. This is the shop where you'll find quality, and you'll pay a bit of a premium for it. Definitely the spot to check out if you're looking for some higher end pieces for your outfits. Think less about casual jeans and more fitted pants, cropped jackets, fringed outerwear, and leather accessories. Oh and several of those cute novelty sunglasses that I seem to keep seeing everywhere. Staff is sooooo nice! According to other reviewers you need an appointment to sell, but I don't know anything else about that side of the business. Pop in if you're in the area.

Anyway, I love Room Service and have been coming here for years. Long before I relocated to Austin from the East Coast. It's part of my North Loop Jaunt where I hit up all my fave places in the neighborhood every few months or so. Prior to relocating, I'd visit Austin twice a year and always made time to stop in. This is one of the most inspiring and well laid out vintage stores ever. You can just get lost for hours. So many ideas for home decor and styling. They've always got a grand selection of MCM (Mid-Century Modern) furniture and accessories. My house is 99% MCM. They've really just got the best collection of everything. Trinkets, knickknacks, patches, light fixtures, dishes, mirrors, art, clothing, records, jewelry...you get my drift. Service is so super friendly and welcoming. I am particularly fond of the pro-trans sign in the entrance window!! Everything they carry is in very good to pristine condition and pricing is reflective. With that said, the prices are extremely fair. I can't recommend Room Service enough. Support local. Support small business. Sustainability. Be creative.
