We popped in here about ten minutes before they closed on a Friday, so we put a couple things on hold and said we'd be back the following day (Saturday). When we returned on Saturday, we were very excited and pleased to see they were having a parking lot pop up with a bunch of small businesses! Give yourself plenty of time to go around and look at all the unique treasures this store has to offer. They also are a nonprofit doing great work for the community!! All of the workers were great, having fun demeanors about them. We really enjoyed ourselves here so much.

Stopped by for the pop-up event at the new location. I can't wait for new top drawer to open up again. I have been without them too long. This is one of my favorite places to find cool knickknacks and gifts. Today I found a cute sterling silver Girl Scout ring "campfire girls" for a great deal!

A thrift/vintage shop that has a purpose. I AM SOLD. I can always shop if it means giving back to the community. Top Drawer is a special place where 100% of the proceeds benefit Project Transition, a non-profit providing assistance to people living with HIV/AIDS in Austin. This shop is so organized and I love how proud and queer this shop is. The display of queer and trans flags was so empowering. To think if I would've seen a shop like this as a child, I would've felt so included as I was discovering myself and my sexual orientation. I found a few pieces that caught my eye, but I found a true gem of a hand sewn vintage sequin top that I'll be saving for Mardi Gras next year. The staff here is so welcoming and I enjoyed learning more about their story. Top Drawer is a safe place and open to all. I can't recommend enough visiting this shop and shopping with a purpose. Plenty of parking out front!

Cute little thrift shop located on Airport Boulevard. Atmosphere was friendly and pleasant. The prices are very reasonable for what you're getting.

I adore this little shop. I love dropping off items for others to claim as treasure knowing it all goes to support HIV+ community works. The store is always clean and looking hella cute with the ever changing displays and mannequin looks. Shop with pride. ‍‍

Top Drawer is a forever favorite! I always discover rare finds here, whether it's clothes, housewares or more. I also love that the money I spend while shopping at Top Drawer benefits people in Central Texas living with AIDS, through a program called Project Transitions. The staff are welcoming and very kind. Check them out!

I am an avid traveler and when it comes to traveling I love to visit every single thrift store that is in the area. This is by far the coolest thrift store that i have ever stepped foot in. The staff is AMAZING, so friendly and so nice to answer any questions or help. I got a cute pair of earrings and probably would've stayed wayyyyy longer if more people didn't come in!!! (Social anxiety lol) BUT GO IF YOU EVER ARE CLOSE. Not to mention that it is a non profit thrift store and they donate all of their earnings to others. 10/5 stars

Very fun and quirky place! Lots of cute, interesting knick knacks. Not a huge selection of clothes, and they were oddly pricy, so I wouldn't pick this place if that's what you're shooting for. But still a fun place to visit for knick knacks and cool finds, and the funds go towards a humanitarian project.

I would like to think of this place as my new favorite gem. The atmosphere and everything it had to offer was amazing. I found so many new cute things and a nifty tote bag. They had a bowl filled with pride stickers that you could take and it said something on the bowl along the lines of "Take one for yourself, and one for someone else". I thought it was very unique and it gave a wonderful first impression to the place. So happy to have found this place! Planning on visiting this place more often in the near future.

I have fallen IN love with Top Drawer! The staff is friendly, the place is clean, the stuff is rad, and the best part is that it's 100% non profit!! They have so much cool vintage (I'm looking at you 1960's turntable!) and newer products that are all clean and there's no old funky thrift store smell. The even have a fun art room! I saw staff cleaning and dusting the products. It's obvious that clean, and fun is their m.o. and it shows! I can't wait to go back again and again! They help support an important cause, project transition.

On my first visit, I noticed they had a nice mix of clothing, shoes, glassware, and home décor, so I came back this weekend hoping to browse the clothing racks. I struck out on clothes this time around--not because they didn't have any, just because nothing in my size was quite my style, condition, or price point. That's thrifting, though. You never know what you're going to find, and sometimes the best score is in a completely different aisle. In my case, I walked out with a pair of vintage shoes in excellent condition for only $5, plus several beautiful glass pieces for next to nothing. I'd call that a successful trip! When I drove by on Sunday, they had boxes and boxes of free items out front with people happily digging through them. It was way too hot for me to join the hunt, but once the Texas weather cools off, I definitely will. This feels like one of those thrift stores that's worth stopping into regularly because the inventory is always changing, and you never know what treasure you'll find next.

Stepping through the door is like visiting a hoarder's house who made a feeble attempt in trying to create a thrift store. There's a lot of clothes here and they seem to be in line with what Goodwill would price them at. This is a one to two star business, but I'll add a star since they do make an effort to help the homeless. You're more likely to walk out of here empty-handed then to find some small treasure here. There's enough parking out front and you can grab a free condom on your way out.

It's also been sitting in my draft reviews for quite awhile (for those of you tracking). Started coming here a couple of years ago, around 2023 and just love it. It's a smaller store but they have lots of well-curated pieces and a really good selection of formal wear, dresses, skirts, jewelry, etc. I was prompted to take care of this draft review and a few others today because of a dress in the window here. A friend was recently in town visiting and asked that I go back and get a picture of the dress in the window. She is thinking about purchasing it (or having me purchase it and send it to her lol). Anyway, here's something to know: items displayed in the window have waitlists for folks intersting in purchasing. Anytime I have been in the shop, including today, service is friendly and helpful. In addition, clothing and shoe items are spaced apart where you can easily view them and ferret through the racks. The value of items are reasonably priced and some items as low as $5. I did not find anything I could not live without, however, I will definitely pop in from time to time. Also, there is a fair amount of free parking. The store manager was super helpful and personable.

Anyway, I love Room Service and have been coming here for years. Long before I relocated to Austin from the East Coast. It's part of my North Loop Jaunt where I hit up all my fave places in the neighborhood every few months or so. Prior to relocating, I'd visit Austin twice a year and always made time to stop in. This is one of the most inspiring and well laid out vintage stores ever. You can just get lost for hours. So many ideas for home decor and styling. They've always got a grand selection of MCM (Mid-Century Modern) furniture and accessories. My house is 99% MCM. They've really just got the best collection of everything. Trinkets, knickknacks, patches, light fixtures, dishes, mirrors, art, clothing, records, jewelry...you get my drift. Service is so super friendly and welcoming. I am particularly fond of the pro-trans sign in the entrance window!! Everything they carry is in very good to pristine condition and pricing is reflective. I had a feeling it probably wasn't going to be my kind of shop, and I turned out to be right--but that's not a knock on the store. This is a really cool place filled with things you won't find just anywhere. If you're looking for unique vintage, antique, mid-century modern, or just plain unusual pieces, you'll probably have a great time browsing. Just don't go expecting thrift store prices. Everything is priced much closer to full market value, so this is more of a vintage boutique than a thrift store. I originally stopped in because I'd seen photos online of some beautiful vintage glassware and hoped to find something to add to my collection. Unfortunately, they didn't have anything I was looking for, and what did catch my eye was more than I was willing to spend. I left empty-handed, and it's probably not a store I'll visit again simply because I'm more of a bargain hunter. But if you're looking for distinctive vintage pieces and don't mind paying market prices, Room Service Vintage is definitely worth a visit.
