I brought my car here because something was wrong with my car whenever I was braking. Not something visual because I am aware and have changed my own brakes, rotors, and calipers before. I have a personal mechanic any other time and only came here for convenience. I believed it was because one of my calipers was loose. Dropped my car off and got a call saying all of my brakes rotors and calipers needed to be changed and they wanted 2700 for it. Guy was polite entire time and I told him well let me call my dad cus it's his car. My mechanic and dad found it odd that they came to this conclusion. My dad had it towed somewhere else for another opinion at a place where we recently had work. TURNS OUT 1 or 2 of my CALIPERS WERE ONLY MISSING A BOLT THT MAYBE FELL out. And the caliper was scraping/slapping my rotor because it was not secured. The other place replaced the bolts at no cost and now my problem is solved. THIS PLACE TRIES TO GET OVER ON WOMEN. We've been there three times... which is three times too many. We had an incredible relationship with Monro at two locations in upstate New York and have a brake warranty, meaning we have to go to Monro to get the brakes done. Each time we have gone to this location has been worse than the last, including an oil change that, despite having an appointment, took more than an hour PAST the appointment slot. They always grossly overcharge, as confirmed by our old Monro in NY, and have AWFUL customer service. Yesterday, they had our van for more than EIGHT HOURS with nothing being done beyond eventually diagnosing. In eight hours, they didn't call to update us even once. My husband had to keep calling them. Then, they told him that the PART for the new compressor would cost over $900, while our NY location told us that the entire job PLUS the brakes would be around $700!!!! These guys also never bothered to call to get the warranty number to get the brakes done, despite having all day. It was a simple phone call to corporate but, evidently that's too much to ask. Given that we own three vehicles and are long-time Monro customers, these guys just seriously lost good business but, judging by other reviews, I doubt they care. Spare yourself the headache and go elsewhere! read more

Go here if you want: - some surly assholes who treat you like shit and make a bunch of jokes about only taking cash in 1's so they can go to strip clubs. - dudes who say they will get to it quickly, and then just sit around until the shop closes and ask you to leave and come back the next day. - to be overcharged nearly 200% because they think you're a sucker. I was quoted at 885$ for an alternator and battery replacement, which is theft. I told them that was way out of my budget, and then they asked what my budget was.... and reduced the quote to 585$. THEFT! If you break down on the NJTP anywhere near these guys, don't go. It'll be worth the more expensive tow to take it basically anywhere else. Try the fucking Boston Market next door, they probably have better service and better mechanics. Bunch of dicks. read more

Came here twice, once to get 2 new tires & they didn't rotate them. Came back for a tire leak and the guy said that whoever did my tires shouldve rotated them but it was his employees i havent gotten any maintenance done. They fixed my tire but told me whoever did my break pads did a bad job & that i basically had no front breaks and i should get them done i said another time i will and took it to my dads friends mechanic shop & he said I absolutely do not need new breaks or anything done. THIEVES!!! STAY AWAY When will Yelp allow 0 star ratings? This place is certainly deserving of it. How they are still in business is beyond me. If you aspire to be ripped off, then please take your car there for service. I took my car there because one of my tires had a piece of metal in it, causing it to keep losing air. It should have been a simple patch job, costing around $20 or so. One of their technicians inspected the tire and found the issue. For some reason, he couldn't tell me whether or not he could fix it, I had to wait for another person, who I'm guessing is the manager (a.k.a. chief scammer), to speak to me. Very odd...and clearly shows something is up. This guy comes over, walks pass the damage tire and the other on that same side, and decided I needed to replace all 4 tires. He didn't physically examine a single one. So I told him no thank you, I'd just like the damage one patched up. He then became very nasty and told me he's not working on a single tire and walks away...I guess not enough profit for his scamming ass. I promptly left and took my car down the road, where they confirmed the issue was a simple patch job and my remaining tires were fine. I sincerely hope this place close down sooner than later. Epic FAIL!!!! After having 48 hours to install tires, they could not complete the job. The history - After the first day with my car on site, they stated they could not get my car started. I had to drive to the shop to show the auto mechanics how to jump start my car. One would think that a repair shop could remedy this issue on their own. After several apologies, I then agreed to give them another day with a verbal guarantee they would be completed at 9:30AM, When I arrived at 5PM later that second day, the tires were still not installed. When I asked why they did not call, I was informed "that phones work both ways!!!" Lastly, when I asked for my keys so I could take the car somewhere else they could not produce my keys. They were in the managers pocket who was off running an errand and this forced me to wait around for him to return. To me this is unacceptable my car key should never have left their premises! Horrible place. Brought my car in for an oil change. Had a coupon. First they tell me I have to pay more because my car takes more oil (fine). They tell me it will take 2 hours.....well, 4 hours later I get the car, and the final bill is even more money than they told me. I ask why and the kid explaining it to me gets pissed off that I a questioning the price. The manager had to come out and take over. Then I get the car and THERE IS DAMAGE TO THE FRONT BUMPER!!! Of course, they no nothing about it, in their words 'that must have been their from before'. Buyer beware, is all I have to say about this place !!! read more

I had issues with my car tire so I decided to stop by this shop. They couldn't accommodate me at the time, the manager made an appointment for me and asked me to return at a later time. I brought my 2000 Mercury Sable in recently. It was around 5:30p (they close at 7p). Had two simple jobs before my car. My husband and I were told to go get something to eat while they checked to see what was wrong. Came back an hour and a half later, was told they wouldn't look at it until tomorrow. The service associates at Monroe Muffler and Brake in Mount Holly were extremely helpful, accommodating, and efficient. I brought my car in 15 minutes before closing and they were able to run a diagnostic report that night, order a replacement part, and have my car fixed the next morning! I have never had such prompt and friendly service at an auto repair shop. Highly recommend!! read more

If I could give less than 1 star, I would! Rude, inconsiderate, and selfish management. Even though we had a coupon they would not honor the price. Even gave them a second chance, but we were turned away because they refused to install the OEM parts I bought online, and not pay for their overpriced Parts they were trying to sell me. The management at this facility preys on the weak!! If you have an emergency, need help, or simply do not know that much about cars. You will be taken advantage of. Stay away from this place!!! There are plenty of other tire shops in the area. Route 38 has plenty of respectable and professional tire shops, that treat you fairly, don't lie to you, and won't try to bleed every penny out of you. Mavis Tire, Pep Boys, NTB, Goodyear, are just a few lined up on Route 38 that I highly recommend over that hellhole. Do yourself and your wallet a favor, go elsewhere!! read more

I just checked my rims on my vehicle after getting the tires put on them and found a circular line scratched around the rim. Furthermore I found pieces of rubber torn from the old tires, which makes me assume when they were using the machine to mount my new tires they scratched all four rims. I will be contacting Brittany in regards to this matter to see if it can be corrected. read more

I schedule an appintment to get new tires. When I went to pick up my car I was told they couldn't find the key to unlock the tires. At no point did i get a call to ask me where they were. They took it upon them self to break the locks to replace the new tires. All this was done without my knowledge. I should have never paid 900 dollars for no name brand tires, i have paid the same amount for better tires like Mitchelin tires. I learned my lesson fool me once NEVER again, will never go again.
