Happened to pick up a bolt lodged into my tire on route 38 in Mt. Holly. The thumping was so loud, it needed immediate attention. Drove into Goodyear Highway Tire without an appointment. Bob Fleming was very cordial even though it was extremely busy. He had the tire repaired in about 45 minutes. Sue, who was very efficient and pleasant presented us with our bill and we were on our way. The interaction of the staff seemed to be very Cooperative with each other. They treat you like family. Since 2001, my Jeep has been serviced by this company. They are reliable, honest, and loyal. I love how upfront they are about WHAT they want to do to your vehicle, they explain WHY they want to do it, and some of the technicians (if you get to know them) will even show you HOW they are going to do what they want to do to your vehicle. I will ALWAYS take my Jeep here. I feel like a part of the family. It even hit my family and me rather hard when we heard the news of Big Mike's passing. That's how important you, as a customer, are to this place; they care. Went to Highway Tire to get a custom, as in non-standard, wheel alignment for a car to be driven on a race track. They spent a lot of time on making sure to get me the best alignment possible. I went here after reading the reviews and liking the fact that it's a family owned business local to me. I can honestly say that it has been one of the best experiences I have had yet....they were honest and down to earth. I wasn't sure if I needed two or four tires....there was absolutely no pressure to get all four at once, however I did because the price for my tires was better than one quoted to me by a family member at a different company. As I was in the shop I overheard them tell another customer who thought he needed brakes that he was still safe with his current brakes....no hard sell or pushing something he didn't need yet. I made an appt with this shop to get my brakes checked. I dropped off the car and shortly after they called to tell me their is a manufacturers recall on my brakes. They could have told me anything since I didn't know there was a recall but they didn't. Instead they called the dealership to let them know that I would be calling. Glad I did not have this tire company do any work on my business trucks.... Recently took tires to highway tire for evaluation with a rim damaged issue. Drop off a perfectly good tire from Mercedes. Upon pick up to discuss with Manager/self proclaimed owner, tire was damaged from attempt to take off or put back on. It was obvious the tire was not damaged prior to this encounter. Asking "owner" what happened she took the aggressive response that "it was not done here, my employee has been with the company for 20 years". I don't know what that had to do with them damaging the expensive tire, I can only assume her employee has never made a mistake it would confess to his error! FYI cost to replace this tire is +$200. The way "Owner" handled this customer service issue is flash back to 25yrs ago, perhaps the reason this company is on my "Never go there again" list. Buyer be warned. I used to religiously go to highway tire.... I went one day just to get new tires they changed my tires did my alignment and gave me my bill in a timely manner. The next morning I got into my car and my tire was flat so I filled it up and went to work. I got out of work my tire was flat. So I brought my car back to highway tire and asked them to check it out. They told me that my rim was cracked. I asked if they knew it was cracked when they put a new tire on they said I had to have hit a pothole and cracked my rim. They gave me a number to call go get my rim fixed even after I said I would buy a new rim they didn't want to sell me a rim so I had an extra rim and brought it up they hesitated stating they don't usually mount and balance a tire on a used rim. I asked them to please do it and they charged me for a new tire and the mounting and balancing of my tire. I didn't mind. I got back into my car and my alignment was completely off car was darting to the left. I went back and asked them if they aligned my car. They said yes but they can do it again and I would have to pay for a new alignment. At that point I kindly declined and took my business somewhere else. I felt as though I was more of a hassle and they didn't want to take care of a problem they caused. Now I have been going to a great mechanic and if I ever have a problem they are always more then happy to work with me and help me in anyway. So I am done with highway tire and will never go there again read more
