No one wants to spend money on car repairs but Aaron is the most reasonable rate in Onondaga and Madison counties. He communicates any issues he finds BEFORE he does any work and tells you the cost up front. He cares about his customers. Sometimes I have to wait a week to get in but safet repairs takes time. I have been coming to Aaron for over 10 years and he has great deals on tires, better than online or the big box stores. They are busy because they are good. Some people do not like to hear bad news about what a vehicle needs repairs to it, but vechicles are the most important assett you use everyday and it protects your life and everyone else on the road. Second, I brought the car home to my mechanic a week later and just 1 outer tie rod needed to be done. This prompted me to drive 4.5 hours one way to see just 'what was what' at this shop... In their defense, one caliper did need to be replaced (as one wheel's brake was 'metal on metal'), the 4 rotors needed to be replaced (along with pads), and one stud/lug nut was cross-threaded. My daughter is a 20 year old who 'calls em like she sees em'. All I know for certain is that she didn't like this place. I told him 'not everyone in Clinton is rich' during a civil 'one on one' conversation outside. I asked him rhetorically, "With all due respect, $1100 for brakes??; What do you think the car is worth, $2000?" He replied, "Well, maybe a little more than that." He shrugged his shoulders and went back inside. It is a 12 year old very common sedan. I took the car elsewhere, on the outskirts of an east coast city... It turns out that the car also needed a new lower control arm (it had a cracked bushing), badly needed new spark plugs, and needed a new oil sender unit (which was leaking a lot). ALL of this additional work (plus all of the work quoted) was completed for $1000 elsewhere, (Parts and labor fully warranted, licensed mechanic, done within 24 hours) Do the math & good luck in selecting your repair shop.

We'll take care of it.", which they did, at no additional cost to me . This car has given me problems with this engine light since I've gotten it and each time they have put it on the smoke machine and resolved the issue . Gregg thoroughly explained each time why it was coding. It has now been off for several miles now, but they spent a lot of time and effort to accomplish that. I appreciate their diligence, honesty, and hard work.

He walked me out to my vehicle to show me that (huzzah!) my tires were only half-worn and didn't need replacing yet. (Had I strolled into another local tire place, I probably would have gotten the old, "Oh wow. You've been driving on these for how long? They must be changed immediately!"-routine.) But not Russ and his crew. The one suggestion the owner made was a tire rotation, which I took him up on. Service was speedy and the staff was very customer-friendly.
