BEWARE!!! The WORST experience I have ever had. I brought 4 suits in to be tailored and dry cleaned. I only asked that my jackets be taken in around the waist. The women had me try on the jacket for her while she pinned it back along the stitching. It looked fine while pinned so I approved. I returned a week later to pick up my suits and when I tried them on the sleeves were about an inch shorter than before. I pointed out the problem and at first they denied altering the sleeves. Then they said, ok, we will fix it. About 2 hours later I receive a phone call telling me they refuse to fix the sleeves. They deny ever touching the sleeves to begin with. They tried to get me to pay MORE money to have the sleeves lengthened when they messed them up in the first place. Long story short, they ruined 4 of my suits and refused to fix it. I wish I can give this place less than one star to put my rating in. I brought in nine shirts to be dry clean. I'm going to have to iron every collar. They gave me a reason that I gave them too many shirts at once to press and clean and that it took me to lo,g to pick them up. Then she suggested that I press them on my own because it would be better. With customer service like that I need to find a new dry cleaner. I left a wool, completely lined skirt for dry cleaning. When it was picked up, the skirt had been shrunk to the extent that the lining was longer than the skirt itself. There are marks all down the front of the skirt as a result of pressing it with setting that was up too high. Had I checked YELP, I would have traveled to Chester to a dry cleaners with an excellent rating even though it would have meant driving about 40 minutes or so round trip. Too bad for me! read more

Hate this place!!! I just moved to this town and I brought in my bridesmaid dress that I was supposed to wear for a wedding I was in. First of all, it wasn't ready when she said it would be ready. It wasn't ready until the DAY OF the wedding. I needed the hem altered and the split fixed. The split definitely didn't get fixed and I don't even think the hem was done. Then the broad had the nerve to tell me to pay the $95 for everything and bring it back after the wedding to be fixed! How stupid is she?!!! I'm a bridesmaid; I need it done FOR the wedding. Horrible horrible horrible experience ! Please do not waste your time even giving this place a chance. I treat everyone with respect and kindness and my experience today leaves me with such a sad view of this business. So 3 weeks ago I called n spoke to the alterations lady about a dress that I needed hemmed - expressed that unless I bring in she can not give me a price or timeframe - I understood and stated if she could at least let me know an approximate amount - she tells me $45 if it's a double hemmed dress. I go in today - as a very first time customer - as I'm new to the area, n I noticed her voice immediately- i smile say hello n proceed to place my dress on her counter as I started explaining what I needed- the lady grabs my dress takes it out the cover n stares at me - as in saying "yeah ok get to the point" I ask for the price n how long it would take - she shakes her head and saids hhhmmm- ooh too much too much (looks at me up n down) repeats herself and I ask : ok, what's too much ? I called n spoke to you n you mentioned it can be $45 or so - how much are we...- She cuts me off scoffs and. Looks at a man that was working behind n saids "$45 !! Smh - no no no I No do - placing my dress ruffled up on the counter - STILL not telling me her price and now also adding that it's NOT $45 - I asked for amount again when she finally said " it's more than double that I'm the only one doing alterations" I said ok I'll go somewhere else please place my dress back into its cover - she calls a helper to go it (mind you she was not doing anything at all and I was the only customer there at the time) - she repeated that it's NOT $45 so at this point I felt very disrespected and annoyed as I clearly was not saying she finalized any price n made it seem as if that was the issue - she lacks manners n doesn't know how to listen to people. As a man came into the shop I started to assist the worker to zipper the cover on my dress n the lady yells out " I do for $85 $85 ok ?!!- geez" I was furious n told her : you are a horrible representation of this place - I'll take my business elsewhere - she's a grand idiot cause little did she know that I'm in need of this dress being done ASAP n I as willing to pay what she was asking has she listened n been kinder. I went to Millpond Cleaners n was so relieved that not only would my dress be done, n I was given proper attention- but it ended up costing me $42 !!!! Monroe cleaners are NO GOOD !! read more
