The quaint little town has a nice size market complete with local coffee, plants soaps, veggies, strawberries and much much more. They also have events planned for children that do have a cost involved, but I think it is a great idea. Most times they also have someone playing live music On this visit we picked up some rhubarb, and a plant from Re Tree Tecumseh. This organization is fantastic and the money they raised goes back into planting more trees. Plenty of free parking in the library or the next block down.

We could not find the Apple cider, and the gal at the front check out was near us so I asked her, her tone of voice was not a nice one it was forced as a reply. On check out the same gal was going to put the donuts and the cider together in the same bag, I stopped her and asked her to please put the cider in a separate bag so that the donuts do not get squished by the cider. Plus the cider was cold and fresh out the fridge. Her look when I asked her (and I asked super nicely) was like a deer on the headlights. She did reply "Sure thing" but wow was that uncomfortable. We had just spent $22.00 on donuts and cider for 2 and you mean to tell me that's what o deserve? No way no no no no no. It's not like y'all are down the street from us. This is a local family-owned grocery store. The prices are a little bit on the higher side so it's…read morenot a place that I will go and do all my grocery shopping but to go pick up a few items here and there this is a great find. Their produce is usually pretty good and they have quality lunch meats. Shout out to Dietz meats. I don't get a chance to go to this location very often but they do host some events in the greenhouse in the back that I've been to and they are always well attended and the staff are great. Just recently they had a sip and stroll event with wine tasting beer tasting and food for 25 bucks. That is a steal. You can't go to any all you can drink eat event for 25 bucks nowadays and quality wine and craft beer. If I lived closer I definitely would go here more often but still a good spot to stop in if you need an item or two.

First off, we went on a Friday early evening the week the strawberries were ready for picking and it was PLENTIFUL. So many berries. My family and I all agreed that we would only be picking enough to eat at home and that's it. No jamming, canning, freezing, etc. Yet the berries were so perfect, so ripe and beautiful we somehow picked a full tray each, even in the 90 degree, 60% humidity heat. NO REGRET! It's still super easy to go here. Drive up, grab your tray, pick your berries, drive back and get them weighed (there's stall with mixes for baked goods, jams, and more plus bottled beverages if the heat is getting to you). I can't remember exactly but it shook out to be around 2.59 a pound I believe (but don't quote me on that) and I got $23 dollars worth. Now I have nearly 9lbs of strawberries in my fridge for snacking, baking, and more. But don't expect jam this year. I haven't the energy for that!
