Was able to get in same day for a basic manicure. Loved the complimentary massage (though might be a little too deep for some). They use new packaged files per customer and seemed focus on cleanliness. The polish really stood up to wear and tear as I had to dig out an embedded golf ball from the mud the next day(yikes) and still looked 100% that evening for my event. Impressive! I have been visiting Monroe nails for over 15 years. Grace always remembers my daughter and me. Greets us well. They have opened another Branch in Ridgefield, and Grace looks after it there. Past two visits have not been good I always take an appointment and visit them. every thing is done in a rush, no stone massage and no shoulder massage. they don't even greet you and everything is done in such a hurry. you feel they just want you out. very disappointed with the service and need to find another nail salon. read more

I've been coming here for a year now, I get powder gel manicure, and multiple times I've had to come back 3 later because they are chipped and tearing up my nails. Then when I go back to have it fixed they act like it's such an inconvenience for them, and really don't care that I only have 2 days off a week, and it's more of an inconvenience for me. I love Monroe nails! Just left from my second visit and I have left happy both times. If you're looking for a spa-like atmosphere and a fancy salon, this is not it. BUT they do a fantastic job on your nails and getting a wonderful complimentary massage while you get them done doesn't hurt either. You really can't beat the quality for the price - the nails you leave with are clean, professional, and last as long as any other nail salon that charges way more. I've been here before and I thought they were okay. They messed up my design but the nails were long lasting. I went today for my daughters 5th bday because they were given gift certificates. We went and they were busy but they said a little wait so we stayed. They started my pedi and flew through it in less than 15 minutes. Then, we I went to sit and asked for gel extensions with regular polish. The girl, Gina laughed at me and tried to convince me to get gel polish. Probably to upswell me but it wasn't to save money, it's because I like to change my polish often and don't like the gel permanently. Then after talking about me and laughing, I said forget it, I'll get a regular mani and said because the kids were getting impatient. She stormed off. Literally slammed the things down and stormed off (Gina). The owner the. Called me over- she's nice and always is. My 5 year old waited a full hour before Gina (unfortunately) did her nails and she forgot to do her toes that I paid for. My other daughter got a mani and pedi in this time and the lady was so sweet. She even added a design. Sure, my daughter is 5 but it's her bday and she was rude. She never gave her the flower and forgot the toes. Then when they did give her the toes painted, they left her in a wiggly chair and huffed and puffed when she moved. Anyway, the place is good but one person can ruin the entire experience. Unprofessional! I had a mani/pedi package $50 and the nail tech was very good. All staff wearing masks. The owner was RUDE. She was having ongoing internet problems & was having delays to run credit cards bc the system was "offline". I don't think she realized that bc she yelled from across the room "your card no good, pay cash". I was sitting in the very last mani chair & she yelled those comments so everyone could hear them. She continued to have internet problems but eventually processed my payment. She quietly apologized and have me a $5 discount card & said "nice meeting you". It was my first time here and I popped in for a pedicure. I got the basic $25 pedi and it was worth every cent. The only place I've ever paid for basic and actually got a full foot massage (and what felt like basic acupressure-so nice) the woman was kind and took her time. The place was small by clean. The only reason they didn't earn 5 stars from me was because the woman getting a pedicure next to me was LOUD on her cell phone which was very disruptive the entire time and even though all other customers and workers were staring at her for her obnoxious behavior no one actually kindly asked her to get off (it wasn't important it was gossip banter with a friend) I will come back again and will hope that there will be a no cell phone policy next time! Great experience! It was my first time here, it was a Saturday morning so I anticipated a wait and luckily didn't have to wait long at all. I decided to get the dip powder for the first time and the tech was very reassuring throughout the process. Ultimately the manicure was done very well and my nails looked great. I had a few good visits until the older gentleman did my pedicure!! Do not let this guy near you!!! I had a big toe nail issue, my nail broke off, he fixed it with clueing an acrylic nail on except he put the clue directly on my skin, it hurt for over 3 months!! He also attacked me with the nail file, he was so rough my toe joints hurt, not to mention slicing my skin with the nail file.. I was close to tears!! Did not know I would suffer for the next 3 months... suffered thru my 10 day Sedona vacation... I have found a new salon and love them! First time here in my search for a close to home nail salon. Called early on a Saturday morning & got an appointment for 45 minutes later. Figured it would be busy since it was Mother's Day weekend, but not too bad. Arrived about 10 minutes early & was taken right away. Color selection is slim with OPI, Essie & other popular brands....there may have been a total of 10-15 colors per brand if that. To my surprise when I sat down for a pedicure, I asked for the gel colors to pick which one I wanted & they had Perfect Match which is key in my book as I like to match both my fingers & toes. The lady doing my pedicure was having a hard time understanding that I wanted matching colors so I had to mention that a couple times. The owner came over to soak my gel off & chatted a bit asking if this was my first visit, she was accommodating & very helpful in finding a color I liked that matched! Another lady did my nails & did a good job, other than not cutting my cuticles which I'm not sure they do because it wasn't done on my toes either. Other services were suggested (eyebrows, UV gel, etc.) not in a pushy way but more than once. Overall, I was happy....in & out within an hour & decent job! This place is clean and they do a good job on your nails. There is no spa-like ambiance, but the staff is overall very nice. The prices are average for a nail salon. A gel manicure and regular pedicure will cost about $60. My biggest complaint is that they always ask you to make appointments, but they never (and I mean NEVER) keep them. I have had a gel manicure here three times. The first time was good, but then the last two times, the gel cracked and peeled off within 24 hours. The manicurist these last two times (I had two different people) seemed rushed. It's worth noting that I did not go to the salon on a busy day/peak hours (not that that should be an excuse for poor service). Went here for the first time as my friend was getting her eye brows done & I needed a regular manicure. While waiting for 20 minutes just so my friend can have her eyebrows done (it was not busy) my manicure was being rushed and the woman doing my nails kept having to take phone calls because no one else would. I didn't like how the tools they used for my nails seemed unsanitary, but the woman doing my nails was very nice and had a good attitude. I did not like how she did my nails and she kept getting polish all over my actual finger and didn't even bother to clean it, just attempted too after I asked her. I didn't like the overall result of my nails however, they looked as if I could have done them myself (which I'm horrible at, hence why I go to get them done).
