I take my vacation to go 2 weeks in the US, I visit LA, I do some road trip visits and I attend Viva. Probably the best event of its kind. Well I'll need to attend all of them to make sure but I'm pretty sure it will win the first prize. During 4 days, it's all about the rockabilly scene. Music, fashion, old cars, tattoos, burlesque and ton of pinups everywhere. I have so much fun every time, I never get to do all the cool stuffs that's happening and I meet new friend every year. There's also a bunch of competition that are fun to enter like the pin-up competition or the vintage swimsuit competition. For the perfect Viva expérience don't forget to do some shopping, to attend the car show on Saturday, to enjoy the pool during one of the pool parties, to see some burlesque shows and get a tattoo ! The best souvenir ever I honestly have absolutely nothing wrong to say about this event. It's always perfectly organized. And I just can't wait to attend the next one in 2021 Who cares to join ? Viva Las Vegas !

Although our car isn't old enough to qualify to get in (64 or old and ours is a 67') we still manage to go to the Orleans and park in the normal area with our car and a lot of others that either can't get in or didn't want to pay the extra fee. Once you get in though it is people and car watching GALORE! They have amazing rat rods, classics, bikes and live music. The Orleans casino does a great job of this show. I've been attending for many years and remember the old days when this was at the Gold Coast. Orleans is a much bigger and nicer venue and can accommodate the masses of people coming to check everything out. If your a car enthusiast and like to see good looking men and women with awesome tattoos then this is your thing.

Wow, what an amazing and energetic Motown Show coupled with a great brunch in an awesome location…read more This show was a memorable journey of Motown artists and their songs. The singers all were phenomenal and their stage performances energetic and wonderful. We had a fun time singing along, clapping and of course dancing. The show was performed in Joel's Chophouse at the Ahern Luxury Hotel which is roomy, elegant and had good size tables for dining. The brunch was delicious with a nice selection of caesar salad, fruit, scrambled eggs (2 types), bacon, greenbeans, a cheese, pasta and of course chicken and waffles. Also available was a selection of delicious pastries. The Ahern has a great pastry chef that makes the best pastries available at the coffee shop and different restaurants in the Ahern. We had such a wonderful, fun and great time at this show and brunch!!!

It's in the V Theater. Located in the Miracle Mall at Planet Hollywood. Just an fyi, even with what looks like a lot of construction in that general vicinity, getting in and out was a cinch. And this was a 5:30 showing. I was blown away. This was a great show. And a new(er) cast from what I understand. The 5 players had a great chemistry, and it poured into the audience. I'm just glad they didn't come to drag me up on stage like some. (be warned). One act I thought was funny as hell. Four players are doing all of the background music with one who is seated as the solo vocalist. After a minute into the song an easel backed sign slides onto the stage. "This song is heard entirely in English" it says. I laughed, wtf? After a bit, one of the four replaces a stick on sign that read as "English" replaced it with "French". So the vocalist then proceeds. Beautiful. Then the stick on gets changed to Korean, then Japanese, and closes out the song in "Pig Latin". The whole place busted out laughing, as did the cast. They genuinely looked like they had fun. As they should. If this was a new cast, it could only get better I'd assume. So if you find yourself needing an "affordable" (easy for me to say) show of caliber but without the crowd of an A-List Las Vegas act. Toxic Audio should make your short list. 4 stars? Toxic Audio is a high energy group of 5 really talented performers that will simply astound you…read more They perform a huge number of songs in a nonstop show without any musical instruments - they do everything with their voices. This show like the Blue Man Group is hard to describe to someone. Once you see it and hear it ... you will go WOW !!! I saw their show a couple of years ago at the Luxor and they have just gotten better and better. The show has a great deal of humor and beautiful music. Before they bring the audience to their feet for a standing ovation with their final number "Turn the Beat Around," they perform "Stand By Me" In Stand By Me - they move out into the audience and just let their voices blend in beautiful harmony. It is breathtaking..... a super exerience. Their last number by The Miami Sound Machine features their percussion vocalist and when the song Lyrics get to " love to hear percussion" he does a terrific job ending with a back flip.. You have to see this group to believe the sounds you are hearing ... Amazing .......... and totally worth the price of admission.

The Big Game 5k was held on Superbowl Sunday in Downtown Las Vegas. I made sure to show my team…read morespirit by wearing a 49ers shirt to the event. At $19 on Groupon, the 5k was a steal. I picked up my packet the same day of the race with ease and didn't even have to wait in a line! The Big Game 5k drew a decent sized crowd and was set to start at 8:15AM. The race actually started closer to 8AM, and I think this reflects some poor organization skills (the 10k was set to start at 8, but I think due to poor communication everyone just took off at the earlier starting time). As are all races held in DTLV, the course was paved and flat = easy peasy. The Big Game website really promoted an after party at Goldspike, but this event really never came to fruition. I was one of the first to show up at Goldspike and the bartenders were unaware of any specials being offered to runners. After a long while, runners finally started to show up but the Goldspike event was just lackluster. All runners got a football finisher's medal. Overall, the Big Game 5k is not among my favorite runs but I would participate in this event again if there was a Groupon deal for it. Hopefully next years event is better organized! The location is right next to the self parking garage at the Caesars Forum Shops and the Cheesecake factory. it's one of those classic Las Vegas attractions that you can easily walk right past if you're in a hurry. I had some time before dinner, saw a crowd gathering, and figured I'd stick around to see what all the attention was about. Between the talking statues, special effects, fire, water, and animatronic characters, it was a fun show! It's a free attraction that's been entertaining visitors for years! I thought it was worth the few minutes it took to watch. If you're already visiting the Forum Shops or heading to dinner like I was, it's a fun little break and one of those uniquely Vegas experiences
