The skinny is It felt so inviting and seemed everyone who came through the door knew the bartenders and it was just a merry menage...i guess the writing on the wall that says "The Greens Family" has some meaning after all. Me being a new visitor and not being part of this family just yet still provided for a wonderful visit. Their spicy turkey sandwich on griddled bread was fantastic....the prices are easy on the wallet and they have a heck of a happy hour. This would be a very comfortable place to enjoy a VGK hockey game. The bartenders provide friendly and professional service and are great to be around. I went this week to get some tacos and I was not disappointed! The Chicken street tacos, cooked by Petey, are delicious! The flavor is amazing and the presentation excellent. I have been living in Henderson, Nevada for over 30 years and the Greens has always been a great place to go for breakfast lunch or dinner, however, over the years, the restaurant has gotten less and less busy. I thought I'd try it out after many years of not going and see what the story was. The food was really good. I had a great cheeseburger. The service was excellent. I'm not sure why it's not busy. I think people have just forgotten about this little spot. Definitely worth a try again. The bar and gaming area I didn't spend any time in but the restaurant was clean and the service was good and the food was good. Price is right. read more

I wanted to give this place a 5 but I can't. I moved to the area a few weeks ago and have gone to The Greens several times now. I really enjoyed my visits and the bartenders (both men) were very kind and accommodating. This evening however, it was the female bartender that others have talked about in their negative reviews. She was rude, unprofessional, and denied my friend his comp even though the green light was on on his machine (he was playing with the right amount as explained by the bar's policies for comped drinks.) I'm sorry for the language but she was horribly bitchy, a real C U Next Tuesday). She should be fired and has no business working in anything with customers. read more

This bar is very close to my home and the only time I ever visited this place was late at night when their kitchen is closed but thats ok. The bar is pretty small but if you are looking for a quick drink or two then this will do just fine. They have plenty of slots/gaming next to the bar if that's what you are looking for and the Bartender that works grave is usually pretty cool. I always come in whenever they have their guy grave Bartender who is pretty welcoming and I always make small talk with him since there isn't much locals that frequent that bar during those hours. Overall, a good bar to hide away from all the other local major bars. There are tv's around the bar for you to pass time but don't expect to find this place popping if that's what you are expecting to walk into. read more

I want to win money! When I want to win money, my preference is to gamble in an upbeat environment. Unfortunately this was not the case with the Station Casino-owned The Greens. Just like the nearly ghost shopping center it sits in, it seems to have had far better days. On the recent afternoon that I played Caveman Keno here, the restaurant that takes up the right side of the establishment was closed. There were zero menus and zero "Please Seat Yourself" signs. This leads me to the assumption that it operates under erratic hours or is permanently closed. In the left side of the establishment I seated myself at a Caveman Keno machine. There was zero interaction with the skeleton crew of this nearly ghost casino. This is not the type of environment where I wanted to extend my time. After using up my $5 budget playing Caveman Keno, I passed over patronizing the bar towards the back of the casino where the only staff members seemed to be and left with little intention of returning in the near future. read more

This restaurant used to be a hidden gem in the Green Valley area of Henderson, NV. It was purchased in 2004 by Station Casinos, and the food was downgraded except for the breakfast. I paid $4.99 for the bacon plate which had three strips of bacon, two eggs, home fried and toast. They also have eggs benedict for $7.99. Petey, my waiter, was very friendly and gave excellent service. If you are in the area, this is a good, reasonably priced alternative for breakfast. read more

Just another bar/small gaming place when we were expecting a restaurant too. The dining room was empty and rule of thumb is...if no one is eating-don't bother. We actually stood for a couple of minutes at the entrance to the "restaurant" that had no signage to wait or seat yourself, no reaction from the bartender and he was the only person we saw working and gave up. Stayed for a cocktail at the bar and $40 in a machine. Not what it once was...so sad. Not even sure if there was cook there or was the bartender the cook too?. THIS PLACE IS AWFUL! The WORST customer service I have EVER experienced! Bartenders don't even aknlowedge you, makes you sit in while they clean machines and go to the bathroom. I came in to order some dinner, sat and sat and sat and finally ZEKE took my order. He put my order in and I had forgotten to ask for ranch so I asked for ranch and he "walked back" to ask the chef for ranch. My husband then said he wanted extra ranch for his fries, so zeke came out with the order and when he handed me the bag I said "I'm SK SORRY to be a pain but can we have more ranch?! I apologize!" And he said "really youre gonna make me walk back and forth?!" And slammed my bag down. For a gaming bar here in Vegas, this bar had the basics: A bar, video poker games, bar food, and lots of smoke. Although these aren't the most glamorous, it is in fact, just a gaming bar. So I don't look for glamorous when coming here. Greens was a basic "run of the mill" gaming bar. As soon as I walked in, I was hit with the overwhelming stench of cigarette smoke. I played a few games at the bar. We ordered wings, which were great, and a few drinks, which were tasty and free, of course. It's a smaller place, but very quaint. The bartender was good, but hospitality skills could have been a little stronger. Overall, nothing special, but nothing horrible either. read more

I personally have to say the main reason why my boyfriend and I and his son and girlfriend come to the Greens on Friday nights is Ivete! She is absolutely hands down the best bartender in this town. One of my favorite places to come when I want a burger and fries. They have plenty of options including a Hangover Burger, a Southwest burger and even a Build Your Own option. They are served on a toasted brioche bun which is so good. And they even have a turkey burger option if you don't eat beef. And the fries are cooked perfectly! If you don't want to spend a fortune on a burger and fries and want better quality than a fast food burger place, this is definitely worth a stop! read more

I just ate here for the first time. It's an ok place as far as 24/7 gaming lounges / restaurants go. But the main reason to go here is happy hour. For happy hour, most of the appetizers are half off, and drafts beers and margaritas are $1. So it's a pretty good deal. The food itself is just average. Similar to what you could do at home after shopping the frozen food aisle. But with a group of folks sharing 4 appetizers, my total was just $4.50 - and you can't really beat that. When you walk in, there's a lounge section and a restaurant section. The restaurant section is just booths and tables. The lounge section is the main bar (with video poker, of course), a few rows of slot machines, and it is all bordered by a line of booths. There's nothing particularly of note here. No interesting decor of unique quirks. But if you are short on cash and in the area, the happy hour is a good bang for your buck. read more

The bartender during the day it's a woman's is so rude and should not b in the customer service position that she has. I went in ther with my son she carded him he's 35 years old. After she waited on the few people that were in the bar she finally came over to get ltr drink order. My son went to the restroom she came o er to the slot machine I was playing bc the money wasn't feeding and I asked her when she had time if she could bring my son another beer she said no bc he was only playing.40 at a time on his machine and that the beers were 5.00 each. When he came back I told him and so he bumped up his bet to 1.20 and asked for another beer she told him no. I have been here several times because my parents walk here to gamble and eat. This place is what other yelpers have commented " a place to die ". The food is terrible in my opinion. I ordered a chicken sandwich and only ate half my meal. The bartenders are nice and their service is decent. We literally walked in to have a drink and bartender instantly refused us any service because of WHAT SHE HERSELF SAID "HOW WE LOOKED " than changed her answer to she meant that we looked like we already had been drinking... What a sad of a person. Many times have we gone there for a late night drink and bite to eat with a different waitress there BUT this really went above and beyond to show that she wanted to keep that bar tonight COMPLETELY WHITE. Because that was all that was there. She had no issue serving another to the drunk WHITE guy sitting next to me who was already drunk....... I asked why again with a smile and I got "well I hold a tamp card so I can refuse service to anyone for whatever I see fit" And fit is what I am, I told her I just got out of the shower because I just got done working out and that we've been there before plenty of times and the older bartender woman had never treated us nor talk to us that way. And her answer go that was "well she'll be here tomorrow if you want to come back then" and turned away from us.... I truly find it funny and and sad but this is the world we live in. Hopefully she can find it in herself to realize that holding a tamp card isn't any type an education degree but a $25 snhd card that any idiot of whatever color can obtain. I recently moved to Vegas and was excited to live within walking distance from a sports bar with video poker. I enjoy video poker! I live across from Greens. I've been there 3 times and each time has been so disappointing,the last time insulting. The first two times, which were on Saturday's during the day, I had a hell of a time getting a drink, at a bar. I spent $40 playing .$25 video poker and got one drink. Terrible service. The last time I will ever visit this place was tonight. I was ejected on a Saturday night (9/17) at 12:30am because I was whistling to music. Apparently the unhappy lady sitting 10 feet from me complained to the bartender who asked me to leave because my whistling annoyed this woman. This is Saturday night with music blasting. This woman, who must be having an affair, and was rude, convinced this jerk of a bartender to ask me to leave for whistling.i will complain to Stations Casino. This place needs to be shut down. 15 minutes later...... I realize I left my card and did t get my station credits. After ringing in, the bartender confronted me and I told him I left my card and didn't get my 3x Station credit. He gave me my card and told me to leave. I asked him, "are you really asking me to leave because i whistle?" His girl said "No, I asked him to throw you out because I couldn't stand your whistling". At that point, I was escorted out, with no station credit. I told the bartender I would complain to management, and he laughed saying "tonight was his last night. Upon entering the lounge, I sat down in front of a machine and was immediately asked if I'd like a drink, of course I lit a smoke and by the time I organized my things my beer was in front of me. Once I finished and put in another $20 the bartender had asked if I'd like another. Service here so far was great, would recommend for folks in need of passing time. We sit down & start with a shot , we ask for another and are enjoying ourselves at the bar talking enjoying ourselves . She comes over to tell us we are too loud and that if someone else can hear us then we are too loud . We Askrf one of the FEW people in there if we were loud bc we felt that we weren't , the othe guest confirmed we weren't loud & even gave us a confused look as if he wondered what was going on with the bartender approaching us in that way . The bartender then told us that we can't ask other customers bc we're making them uncomfortable . The customer again looked at us with that same look of disdain for the bartender. We live in the area but have never been to this place. We decided to try it out for dinner. Walked into the restaurant about 7p, the dining area was deserted. There were a few in the bar area so we stepped in, but only a few steps due to some smoking. We looked around and waited but no one acknowledged us. After about 5 minutes we left. Who would anyone eat in a place that's deserted anyway. How many others did this also. I called the next day and was told I should have flagged someone down because they were probably busy cooking. No one should have to flag down help. No apologies either. No wonder this place was empty. So unprofessional. If they weren't related to station casinos they'd be closed. Just moved here with my wife about a month ago, we were excited to live walking distance from a little bar with bar food. We've been to Greens 3 times and every time has been great! The bar staff is friendly, the wings are SO good! Even the French fries are great! Especially considering they're right next to McDonald's, I definitely prefer Greens' French fries, they have this seasoning on them that's super tasty! And my wife eats ranch with nearly every meal but she's super picky about it, and she really loves the ranch here.
