This is a great little place for several ages I had kids from ages 5-14 with me and several adults and we all had a great time. The glow in the dark aspect was fun and the prices were affordable for a fun Saturday afternoon outing. Quick tip, you can call ahead to get in line for the mini golf. They had air hockey, other arcade games, laser tag, and of course the mini golf. The games dispensed tickets that could be redeemed for goodies. They had food and snacks. For a Saturday afternoon, it wasn't that busy and they had plenty of staff to keep things in order and flowing for example on the mini golf course there was an employee standing there to make sure the game kept moving forward. read more

Too bad i can't leave less than 1 star....My son used to practically live here coming multiple times a week spending a crap ton of money earning and never using the tickets saved up so he can get bigger items. We went for the first time in a bit and my game card that we had used and saved from all of our trips and kept balances on didn't work so we went to the desk to get a new card and transfer all tickets and and money balances to a new card so we can play. The fur at the front desk informed us that they got a new system and he had to go to the back to transfer. He came bag and told me we only had a $5 balance and 50 tickets!! I'm pretty positive the balance was at least twice that and we had several thousand tickets before this transfer. After spending well over $1k in this establishment over the years between golf, games and laser tag (when it was open) I won't be coming back. Maybe they'll use the funds and tickets to finally replace the characters that they were supposed to do years ago but never did!! read more

I've been here twice. First time during the pandemic and the vibe was really weird pandemic vibes. Today I took my kids to play as I couldn't find a mini golf place that was open. Let me tell you, I'm glad I did! It gave time for mom to wrap and excited (and bored) kids a distraction. The course is deceptively hard and has 18 holes. We played air hockey, video games and carnival type games. There is also laser tag, and the course is pretty cool, though we didn't do it today. The main reason I wanted to write a review, though, is the staff were freaking amazing! Especially the young guy working today, he seriously deserves a raise. He was so kind and went well above and beyond on Christmas Eve, a time that sucks to work! I'm afraid I left him a paltry tip, as I only had a few dollars with me, but I would have been happy to leave him thirty dollars, he was so good and upbeat. I thank this establishment and him for making this a great time for me and my kids. I hope to do it again next year! read more

This place was a blast, even given the current social distancing status. The staff was very friendly and helpful, and the decor was very well drawn out everywhere, very original. We signed up for mini golf and there was a wait so they could keep everyone spaced out, but we were able to play 2 rounds of lazer tag while we waited. The lazer tag was awesome! Updated equipment and good places to run and hide! When it was finally time for golf, the course was fun and challenging, even for young adults. The staff has trivia questions throughout the day for extra tickets too, which I thought was fun. The whole time, the staff was wiping everything down and provided sanitizer everywhere. It was super hot out and the fams and I were just not interested in being outside a whole lot, so this was a great way to end our trip to SA. I've always played miniature golf outside, so it was nice to go to one that was indoors. It was all blacklight inside, so it was cool to see everything glow. We paid for play mini golf and we had to wait a bit, since they like to go in waves, so the course doesn't get clogged up. Even though they closed at 8pm and it was past 6pm, they told us that they don't kick you out during closing time, instead they will wait until you finish. The course wasn't too large. "Monsters" weren't too scary, so it's great for the whole family. There were only a couple negatives: (1) they ran out of bottled waters and only had sodas left... booooo (2) the course could kind of use a facelift and maybe some monster modernization. There was only one monster that had movement, but it didn't happen too often and it looked a little raggedy. It's located in a plaza area, so there was plenty of free parking. It's been a few months since we went but this popped up as an ad on Facebook and it reminded me to post a comment. My 4 year old son had fun and it was a nice break from the heat. Most of the animatronics don't work and the course itself needs a lot of repair/love. I even pointed out to my wife what certain holes were supposed to do since I had visited in the past when it all worked. Halfway through the golf course it was getting stuffy inside and it might have been due to the amount of people who were now there? Staff was friendly but seemed overwhelmed. Did the groupon thing for 4 mini golf and laser tag. Nice kids working here, gave us a ticket for a free game since there were only 3 of us. Lots of mini golf courses packed into this location, took us over an hour to complete the course. Wish we had known, you need to book the laser tag in advance. When we finished golfing we tried to sign up for the laser tag and where informed there would be an hour wait. Dang wish we had known before. Tried to burn time by playing the games, not a lot of choices, played everything twice and only burned 30min. So we decided to save the laser tag for another time and left. Came to Monster Mini Golf for an event. I have never been to an indoor mini golf place. From the black lights and neon paints to the arcade games, this was a fun little set up. They have laser tag on site, 2 party rooms, 18 holes of mini golf and a fairly decent array of arcade games. The prizes that are available for ticket trade in was a pretty good selection as well. I can't say enough positive things about the staff at Monster Mini Golf. They were extremely friendly, upbeat and positive. Seems they enjoy working here. My husband and I had a great time. Unfortunately I didn't have a good experience here though. I'm not exaggerating 3/4 of the arcade games were out of order. This place is cute, really cute. Myself, my husband, and a friend came here on a Saturday evening. I can say that while the place was flooded with small children (to be expected), we enjoyed ourselves. I can't say we kept score, we weren't given a score card, but who cares? We hit the ball around, the course got a bit more challenging as we went along. We had loads of fun taking selfies with all of the cool props. After, we played a few arcade games. We spent $9/per person and about $10 in games and were amused for about 2 hours. The game of putt putt didn't take long at all, but that's ok. This was definitely a pretty cool place! The mini golf was challenging, but not too hard for kids, and even the holes that give you trouble are still more fun than frustrating. While the whole place is lit with black lights, you still don't have any trouble seeing because it is so BRIGHT inside! The scenes painted on the walls are getting a little dated; they have that 90's arcade look to them, but still pretty cool! A few of the monsters and other decorations need some repairs; there are a few things torn here and there and some holes in the piles of skulls that serve as obstacles, but nothing that makes the place look run down or hinders the game. Walking downstairs to the smaller arcade and entrance to Lazer Tag, it was HOT, but the lazer tag arena not so much. There were only three of us playing, so there wasn't too much excitement there, but that wasn't their fault. We just came at a slower time. The arena has a good amount of places to hide and shoot from, a few different objectives, etc. but the best option is to go when there are enough people to have teams. It looks like they are working on getting a bar set up on the lower level too, and they had a sign saying they'd be offering food soon. This place was great for the kids I babysit (11 & 15) but I would also come back with friends or on a date too, so I would definitely say it really is good for all ages! read more

There are multiple party rooms for larger parties or smaller room for a small party. The location is in castle hills which is very central San Antonio. This place is a blast. We had my stepson's birthday party here at Monster Mini Golf yesterday and was pretty impressed. I bought a Groupon online for a half-priced birthday party, so wasn't sure what to expect since I've never been here before, but figured I would take a chance. A few weeks ago when I booked the party, I called to get more information. I spoke to Alex (the owner). He was so friendly and informative. Even after we hung up, I called right back to ask more questions and he answered the phone and said "Hello Amy!" (He must have a caller ID.) :-P I was happy about this. Fast forward to party day, we showed up at 1PM for a 2PM party. They told us we couldn't set-up until 1:45PM which was thankfully enough time, but I wish they had let us set-up sooner since no one was occupying the party room anyways. Our party host, Kaitlyn was so nice and awesome with the kids. She kept everything moving smoothly. They played games with the kids throughout our time in the party room which was fun. Then she took the kids and adults to the golf course and they played. This took a pretty long time. We had a lot of kids who started off but by the end of the course, there was only half the kids because most didn't want to keep playing. At the end of the party, the kiddos got free range of the arcade which their game cards. We were super happy with having a birthday party here and highly recommend! Our party host was on top of things and that made me extremely less stressed. This place got CROWDED though. Lots and lots of people. Still makes for a great time though! :-) read more

The course itself was very fun and kept up nicely. We were told a 45 min wait but only waited about 20 mins before we got to play. Thank goodness we got a deal online for the mini golf because we added $30 of gameplay to our package and my son won about $5 of dollar store crap at the ticket window lol but he did have a great time. For what this place is, it is awesome! With a group of 10+, on a Friday night, with no reservations we were able to play laser tag (awesome) and mini golf (really cool) The laser tag here is great. It's a smaller room, but they incorporate a "base" tactic to the game to keep the players moving. The laser guns require 2 hands to shoot and they give you scores at the end. The mini golf is a lot of fun. The artwork and design here really adds to the experience. Take a close look at the details on the walls. The black lights and the dark setting might be tough on the older folks but the kids love it. read more

I had a pretty good time playing black light put-put, but can't say I really enjoyed the actual course. The holes roll one to the next and are backed up on each other so there are people EVERYWHERE and all up in the holes you are trying to play on. They have a spacing system (give you a number to wait your turn) and while it's good in theory, poor in practice. We still had to wait in line to start every hole. I think this was caused by the teenage A$$hats two groups ahead who had started playing holes twice and started going backwards at hole 18. This is clearly a problem, but the employees were also teenage ........... So maybe that explains the cluster and why they let Thier buddies. Overall, there has to be better options read more

Great experience here! We bought the pogo pass and used it here first. No problems signing in, and the employee was very helpful. While we played mini golf, he was wiping down the games in the arcade area. The restroom was clean too. More people showed up after we finished hole #5, but until then, we had the place to ourselves. Only complaint- very loud. We got a couple of phone calls while we were here and could not hear- had to go outside to take the call. It was about 15-20 min we were in there, next we got pizza which wasn't that great but the scenery made up for that, next we tried the virtual reality and man that was the best! Never tried it before and the experience was unforgettable, we tried it twice. Then we hit up the arcade. $5 game cards gets you a lot. Totally worth the $20 per person. We really enjoyed ourselves. We love coming here annually as a group during the Halloween season. The people who work there are really sweet and the decorations are so cool! Be sure to wear neon and white to have fun with the glow in the dark black lights. It's about $10 just to golf and that's all I've done so far but I think they have pretty good deals for combos with laser tag and arcade games. I imagine this would be an awesome place to take your kids. The holes are creative and I really just love the effort put into the experience and the art on the walls. The music is really fun too! It's a variety from EDM to hot country hits! Five maximum per golfing team but you can definitely split into multiple groups and play one after the other. read more
