The place is grimey, nobody cleans their machines after using them. The lack of safety is insane to me -- multiple people just throwing weights, not in areas that it is meant for. People walking under, through, around your squat rack/machines is so unsafe. There is so much non-working equipment. It is way too expensive to be constantly busy and never have enough room to workout. Icing on the cake is I requested a cancellation due to moving out of state. Emailed, called MULTIPLE times, and consistently got ignored by Jordan, the one person that manages accounts. He requested multiple forms of proof of move, which I happily provided, and again was ignored. My card continues to try to be processed, I have called and emailed yet another person multiple times, and get ignored. Extremely unprofessional and quite possibly the most ridiculous place ever.

I had to select between this and the other fitness center in central Nicholasville since both were about the same price with similar equipment. I liked the elliptical better here so I joined about 18 months ago, and I'm glad I did. I never am impeded from getting the workout I want. There are plenty of machines that are never monopolized at the times I work out, which is mostly evenings, sometimes daytime on Fridays and Saturdays. The experiences have been positive, my fob gives me entrance in the middle of the night if that's when I want to go, and the annual fee is only $35 with $10 a month to maintain. It is clean, and there is a shower in the locker room which I haven't needed to use since I live close by. No gimmicks. My only complaint is that the TV's built into the ellipticals sometimes fritz up during a program, and they always play pop music on the loudspeaker that is loathsome and repetitive, but I'm an older guy and a music snob anyway; You can't have everything! It is significant too, that the other gym shut down late last year! So I would have ended up here either way. I'm glad I chose this at the outset.

The fitness center was spotless, equipment was well spaced out, and I felt like I had everything I needed to do a cardio and/or strength workout. I chose to do one the group fitness classes. This particular class was led by Tisha, the manager. I do group fitness classes regularly and would say this was a great class because I was safely challenged. Tisha understood body mechanics and offered suggestions to meet everyone's fitness/mechanics needs. In other words, you can push yourself without getting hurt. I'd definitely visit again.

Some of the grading doesn't seem very consistent. Staff is nice. Kids and adults of all ages are welcome. It's definitely fun to experience it at least once! The day pass is currently $30 per person with all gear rentals included. No price reduction if you bring your own gear. The membership cost is hefty, $100 per month or $80 if prepay... that's close to 1K per person at a minimum. One membership bonus is that all classes are free. If I resume climbing on a regular basis, I might consider shelling out some $$.

The staff were very friendly and detailed on how to get prepared for climbing the wall with the harnesses and also the ins and outs of each level of difficulty. My son loved climbing, as this is definitely his wheelhouse, but not necessarily mine lol. There were numerous walls to climb with the ropes/harnesses utilized and other boulder walls with a harness or rope not used but with a padded flooring under the ways.
