I am a late in life convert to having facial services, as I have previously experienced results to be overpromised, products to be oversold, and my results underwhelming. My first facial at Montage with Dianne was heaven and I have been going back semi regularly for two years now. If I lived in the area full time, I would be in much more often! Even with my fragmented scheduling of appointments, I see a difference in my skin. I have booked appointments with four different estheticians and I have learned something new each time and can recommend all of them. I am not one to realistically follow complex skin care regimens, and the estheticians have guided me to a very simple, yet effective, routine. The surroundings are lovely, the treatments are superb and the staff is very well trained. I've been coming to montage for over a year now. I followed Abbie from another salon and have never been so faithful to one person for my facials. Abbie's been doing my facials for almost two years now and she's good enough that I no longer even am tempted by cheap facial offers and deals. For at least 10 years, I've hopped around to different places never really loving one particular aesthetician, but I LOVE ABBIE. I drive over 30 minutes for my monthly appts. My skin has never looked better and I just love the facials she gives. Montage has a monthly spa-goer program that saves you money, too. I find that helpful. Cute spot as well. It's tiny, but sweet. Everyone there is warm and upbeat and the store is really packed with fun stuff to browse through. read more

The ups: the treatment and people. The downs: the place. I preface though by saying that I used to be a bit of a spa junkie so I really enjoy the entire spa experience from beginning to end. I'll start with the things I liked...the treatment was very good. I received the "Bliss Package" as a Mother's Day gift...a much needed 2 1/2 hours of pampering for this first time working mother. Scrub- The scrub was okay. It was relaxing, smelled good and left my skin feeling silky smooth. However, I didn't enjoy how I was just toweled off. I still felt grimy afterwards. Massage-also very nice and relaxing. She asked me how I liked my pressure and asked it there was anything she should be aware of. She took her time and was attentive. But again, with all that oil, I would have liked more than just a towel. Facial- very good. Nothing fancy and she did not push products which was a plus for me. I wish she told me what she was doing as she went along, but that's not really a big deal. My face came out "radiant" and I felt refreshed. Waxing- I usually get my waxing done at small places and they always do me well. I got waxed here since I was going ot be here anyway. It was really pricey and took a longer time than I am used to. She didn't let me see it after she was done to see if I liked it. I won't get waxing here again. The downs- as I said, I enjoy the spa experience from beginning to end. Montage does not have a locker room or shower. So you get undressed in the treatment room and lug your stuff with you from room to room. After treatments like the scrub and an oily massage, a shower would have been nice. The waiting area was small and uncomfortable. The water..which I believe is very important because you need to stay hydrated..was nasty. I drank it because I had to...but I probably should have brought my own water. If you want fairly good treatment, Montage is a good place to go. I may go for facials in the future. But because of the lack of shower, I won't go for body treatments. read more

UPDATE: I came back for the next of my series of treatments for my "7x7 year" aging and uncooperative skin. This time I did the Radiance Peel. Now, it did sting a bit when it was applied but the ambient music and (the esthetician) Robyn's soothing explanation of what she was doing and what it would do for my skin made the experience wonderful. I for sure felt it was doing something for my formerly unresponsive skin. Immediately after the treatment, I noticed that my skin looked younger and smoother. It was a bit tighter also, but I figured that was the skin that was going to peel away in the next few days. What I could not believe was that the VERY deep wrinkles on my neck had virtually disappeared. I could immediately see my "worry lines" and "crows feet" were dramatically reduced. I also took home the OBAGI skin care lotions and I cannot wait to see what they will do to moisturize my skin now that it has been treated! I am returning next month for another treatment and will post more when I do! read more

I came in here to get matched for Jane Iredale makeup and was recommended to come in for a facial to help with some acne that I have been dealing with for years. I didn't take them up on their offer because I had been seeing the same esthetician who I loved for years. However, my esthetician got busy and I needed to go see someone so I came in to see Amanda. She was clearly passionate about skin and knew her products so well, I was so impressed. I also left the appointment, after getting extractions, not bright red like I normally do. She does her due diligence with the latest and most effective treatments and she creates custom blends of different procedures and skin care items that are unique to my skin and my goals.
