On my new patient appt, he ended up finding a troubling spot on my arm that he had biopsied, which came back as atypical. He needed to remove the rest of it and did that work for free. I probably wouldn't have noticed that spot without him--felt very lucky. He's a great doctor and a nice person. I feel lucky to have found a new doctor that I love (and I'm very picky!!!).

After a few sessions I asked him if he thought I had it (the whole reason of me seeking therapy). He said only a psychiatrist can diagnose OCD (which is false). I did more research on my own and asked if he did ERP. He didn't even know what it was. He overshares in sessions, frequently mentioning his own past and trauma. I think I know more about his life than he knows about mine. When I started talking about safety, he said out of a scale of 0 to 5 (5 being feeling completely safe) he said he "never gets above a 4" because he's "been through too much." Which completely obliterated any faith I had that he might be a safe container. Why the hell would I feel safe sharing with someone who themselves doesn't feel safe?? He kept on saying he had treated people for "a number of years." When I asked how long that was he said 4. I wouldn't trust him to treat any number of things on his profile. He is more limited as a therapist than he markets himself. I wouldn't recommend him and I have zero interest in shopping for other therapists at this practice. I would have given him one star but his receptionist was very sweet, responsive, and made it easy to make and reschedule appointments on the phone and by email.

This is a family medicine practice with a pediatric focus and they have cared for both of our children from the days they were born. Dr. Eck walked across the street from his office to St. Luke's to meet our babies in postpartum recovery. He and his team have treated numerous ailments and issues for us over the years. It's usually easy to get in with one of the three providers within a day or two, often same-day. We have had two insurance billing issues come up and, contrary to two other reviews I've seen online, Laura and Julie were easy to work with and happy to help us figure them out. One of them dragged on for many months, I'm sorry to say, and though it was ultimately resolved by our insurance company, I can absolutely understand why the office may have needed to tighten their policies about outstanding payments after that experience (which I'm sure was just one of many). We love Colleen and Terryn, who are both exceptional nurse practitioners, nurses Faith and Stephanie know us by name and are delightful, and not only is Dr. Eck an excellent physician, bonus points to him for his dad jokes. ;-) This practice is GREAT!

Going to this health care provider is like going to a used car lot, everything is bait and switch…read more The doctors don't care about getting to know you or caring about what you know about your own body. Their primary and only concern is how to immediately turn every interaction into a "Treatment" session and therefore immediately a billable appointment. They come into the room not caring what you are there for, not wanting to hear what you have to say, not interested in your input they only what to discuss what they have already predetermined is wrong with you and how THEY want to treat you without out actually getting any input from the patient. In the end you are nothing more than a set of numbers on a chart, you are not a person, or a patient, you are a billing code and as quickly as they can get you in and out the happier they are. I have been seen by two different doctors at this location returning to it after leaving the state for sometime, on return found out my original doctor had retired. Both of the new doctors are condescending, have no patient concern or care, refuse to listen to what you need. My last visit was supposed to be to review my year labs, doctor walked in and only wanted to talk about treatment for blood pressure, no discussion of what the lab results were, what they mean nothing just straight to billing, walked out of the appointment three minutes into it. Previous visit I sat in the room and answered questions about my medical history for 10-15 minutes and ended up receiving a bill from the doctors office for over $700 for paperwork. Called Blue Cross and asked why the bill was not covered at all and found out that the doctor office never submitted the bill to them which according to Blue Cross they are legally required to do, so they charge you and threaten collections, don't submit to insurance, don't listen to what you need, fail to provide the service you request, don't give you the answers your asking for. As I said its like going to a cheap used car lot and getting worked over.

Then my Dr calls me a week later to tell me he got some results, but he only got 1 lab result out of the 17 that were ordered. Again, maybe a mishap. I can overlook that. My problem is when I called to find out why my Dr wasn't getting all of the results, I got attitude from the woman on the line. That's where I have the problem and hence the stars in my review. I did nothing wrong. Nor did my doctor. But to give me attitude because I'm asking where the results are (that you incorrectly billed me $1000 for) is ridiculous. Please enlighten me on what I did wrong to deserve attitude. Don't worry, I'll wait.

I was checked in efficiently by friendly front office folks, and did not have to wait past my scheduled appointment time to be ushered to an exam room. My new doctor took her time going over my information and history, never rushing me or treating me as an annoyance, and by the time I left we had outlined a plan and settled on referrals to follow up on my needs. As an adult, I did not want a family practice doctor as my PCP, by choosing an internist I am not forced to sit in a waiting room full of sick kids or littered with toys and such. She is a highly skilled surgeon with a great bedside manner. At my first appointment Dr Bridges reviewed my MRI results with me, pointing out the pictures showing the source of my pain. and outlined the treatment options to correct the problem. She went over the surgical procedure she recommended, explaining the risks, the expected outcome, and what I could expect after the surgery. Dr Bridges fully explained the recovery and rehabilitation process and the timeline to full recovery. She listened to my questions and made sure I completely understood the surgery and what I could expect at every step of my recovery. In the end her skillful surgical repair of my spine not only relieved my pain but also improved my quality of life. I'll be forever grateful for the care I received from Dr Bridges.
