I am not seeking compensation; rather, I want other consumers to be aware of my experience. After spending over $16,000 with this company, they declined to honor or replace a component that had less than six hours of total use. While having our pool closed, Danny who did our job, caused our circuit breaker to get tripped. He ran a commercial air blower and water pump to drain the water out on outlets connected to the same breaker. This is a 50amp breaker switch, and it still tripped. He told me something tripped and we needed to check and reset the breaker. Without any luck, I asked him to fix it because you guys messed it up or else I am not paying. He told me he is not an electrician, he did not blow it up, and the other switch is working. He said I would need to get an electrician to see what is wrong with it. After he said that, I got very angry because he was trying to pass off that this is not his problem or responsibility to fix it when he caused the issue, and there were no apologies at all. He said he is not going into people's houses with COVID-19. But then why is his entire team not wearing masks for the entire job at all if using that excuse? So we were yelling for a bit and he yelled even louder than me as customer and his facial expressions look like he wants knock me down. At the end of the day, he finished closing the pool with all the power to the outdoor outlets and pool equipment not working. We ended up paying in full. I am very disappointed with his attitude. I am considering to look for another pool contractor next year. If no issue, he is fine. If there is an issue, he will pass it off as not his problem without an apology and just tell you to find someone to fix it. Absolutely the worst experience I ever had. Having just moved into a house with my first pool, I was clueless as to what I needed to get it running for the summer. After telling the young adolescent employee that I needed the whole setup including filter, pump, hoses etc., He handed me a pump and a few hoses that didn't even fit. I went back three times to exchange items and to buy things that I had not been told I needed. Each time, I was made to wait while the entire staff waited on one person despite a line of customers waiting to be served. Lately, I've needed to go there just to buy chemicals just to find them closed during peak summer hours. Its a shame that the service is so bad and unreliable because I live right up the block. I have now been going to Holly Hill where the service is reliable and the courteous staff educate their customers. Never again. read more

it's pool opening season again, I wrote a review last year. Montalbano's on Victory Blvd change my pool liner and decreased the depth. we were having issues with the pool liner popping up. we have call Charlie (owner) at Montalbano's we left numerous messages in which he never returned call or the person Mike O who did the work. My suggestion find another Pool company you won't be happy with Charlie and Crew. Take the money and run. read more

i called montalbanos around may of 2022 to open up my pool for me. mind you i have never had a pool before and i had no idea it had to be filled up to a certain point before they can do their job. this should have been told to me over the phone. anyway there was about 4 guys who showed up and not 1 had a hose and neither did i. they said they couldnt open my pool because it had to be filled up more and they had no hose. but took my money anyway i was half asleep as well realizing weeks later why would i pay these people when they did nothing for me! but took my money what a rip off.... i had to wind up doing this by myself and had no idea what i was doing thankfully the folks at hollyhill pool and patio came to the rescue. and montalbanos had the audcacity to call me a year later asking if i wantd them to open my pool...... stay away! $200 down the drain. why would a company take my money when they provided $0 service insane i should be reimbursed. and these people should have a hose on hand ..... read more

The owner Joe is SO rude! What a nasty old man. I came into the store with some of my pool water to have tested. This is my first year owning a pool. I wanted to make sure it was ok to swim, if it was lacking anything and if it was I was planning to purchase right there from them. He didn't want to be bothered with me " why do you need to test it, what's wrong"....I explained and he was all huffy and irritated he had to dip the test strip. Proceeded to help 2 male customers that came in after me. Finally tested the water and quickly rattled off what i needed. I said "I'm sorry, this is my first time owning a pool, would you mind speaking on the phone with my husband so he can understand later when he gets home and I will just purchase what's needed" He refused to talk to him, again being nasty and short with me. The sweet young cashier was mortified and apologized to me, clearly this is how he is. Maybe it was just because I'm a woman by that is no way to treat any customer and they will not get my business ever again. read more

This place has been around for a long time because they know their stuff. I get all my pool supplies here and they do water tests in the computer for free. Lots of places just do a dip test- they do both a dip strip test and a computer analysis on your water. They know what they are doing. If you go here you won't go wrong. I went in Sunday to get some stuff for my pool closing and spoke to Joseph (the young one) and Anthony. They were so helpful and professional. They really know everything about pools and the business. Both of them are always helpful when I go there. Last month, I went in and Anthony did a computer test on my water and he gave me what I needed and my pool cleared right up. These guys are great! Go here and you won't be disappointed! read more
