John proved to be helpful, communicative, and expert at bringing its back to its past glory. Don't be in a hurry, but also don't worry that it might take a few weeks. Your patience will be rewarded if your experience is anything like mine. And obviously they've had decades of customers before me. I learned more about the process for my particular watch's recovery when I heard back with the options to make the watch tick again. And, I never felt pressured. There were a couple ways to go about the restoration -- and for me, it made sense to go with really doing it right. I found their price to be fair, and their workmanship fantastic. the watch straps disintegrated in under a month of very light use, made a joke about deciding to keep my watches then actually tried . lord of gaslighting. held on to my watches for 2 years but didn't complete the work he agreed to. I had to call him weekly to motivate him to work on my watches. his son is like a bouncer ,territorial , unhelpful. once I asked his dad politely to locate my watch(as he admitted to not knowing where he put them) the son lurked behind ready to jump into action and not in a helpful way. every repair I received fell apart within weeks. he can be polite but is easily overwhelmed and it's not welcoming . not a good experience as my watches are worse off then before the non-repairs. throw your money and time away by going here. cheers. read more

I took a gold link watch to be cleaned. It was returned & not ticking & the little knob was replaced. (I took it to another watchmaker & he validated the knob wasn't original). You could turn the knob & you think nothing happens. The watch works but was returned to me with a changed part & no ticking. I wanted the watch to be fixed so I can feel the knob turn & hear it tick. The owner kept telling me I'm wrong. After 20 min I walked out & forgot to ask for my $$ back. He's fixed my pendulum clock, many times. Since I pay in cash, I wonder if it needed all the work he did. read more

The minute hand on my wall clock was dropping so I popped into Montana Clocks expecting to be told to leave or for a week or be charged for some sort of new part.
