Local liquors! Looking for stuff made from Huckleberries or local booze? This place has lots of local liquors! I came in here looking for some Montana moonshine- and came out with some fine bourbon whiskey. I started off in the whiskey section, but unhappy with what I was seeing, a clerk asked if I needed help, and that's when I was steered to the Montana section. It would've been nice to have some tasting notes, or employees' picks- they had nothing about the different liqours, other than the prices, which were clearly stated. There were plenty of varieties of liquors to choose from, all at almost the same price point. They had vodkas, cherry drinks, and lots of huckleberry stuff. The store was clean, and well lit. Bonus- no sales tax! Yippie! Taxation is theft. Parking was easy- it's on the edge of a bigger shopping complex that's all made of brick and looks handsome. read more

The service here is wonderful. We came in wanting to bring back some local liquors. We got some huckleberry vodka, a local gin, and huckleberry crème. So excited that we got such great souvenirs from our trip. The guy that helped us was so enthusiastic we definitely took all his recommendations. I would not even give them one but I had to pick one to put up my review. We went into the store without mask. The man working asked us to put on mask , which we did. My husband made a funny remark about doing shots instead of mask. The mans reply was you can go somewhere else or shop outside. This is a large store, no doubt. But the selection was not as large as I would have expected. I commented to the checkout guy, no one came to help me in the store, that I was surprised by the limited types of xxx. He said, "well, that's a crappy drink so what do you expect.?" Well, what I expect is a more polite answer to a very reasonable question. Its a large brand carried world wide, and I knew that it was my upcoming hosts favorite drink. Nevermind I was dropping over $100, had not used any employees time (none came to offer it), and had waited on a line that was very slow. There were employees in the store, just none helping me and only 2 doing checkouts. The wines I saw were a nice cross section, but the prices were pretty high. I do understand Montana is landlocked, but still. OK parking. Small spaces and there are way more trucks out here than small compacts, so the spaces should have been painted wider, and frankly the aisles should have been wider too. I would probably look for a different store if I needed alcohol in Bozeman again. read more

Fantastic selection of wine and impressive Champagne selection. Best Champagne selection in Gallatin County!!!! Great prices that beat what competitors can order you wine for too so save time and go here first!!!! I must say I was shocked to find such beautiful Champagne as Bollinger... Impressive. Thank goodness their wine distributors are keeping them in the know for good Champagne. I walked out spending more than I had planned which is always a sign of a fabulous shop. Holy schnikes! If you're looking to get boozed up, you're on the edge of town or looking(in my case) for something you haven't been able to find across the whole country: this place is the ticket! The workers were outrageously helpful in directing me to a secondary bottle of hooch(I was seeking a second) and were honest about a more expensive one just bring hype. This store could be my downfall if I lived in Bozeman. Luckily I was just passing through! read more

Wasn't open Saturday during advertised biz hours. Several folks came and went empty handed, as they had money to spend, but couldn't . When they are open, help is typically less than helpful, and un-friendly. Would be a great location for a liquor store, the customers would be the big winners here. UPDATE: Every business deserves a second chance, I understand when help fails, just the way it goes sometime. Anyway, thanks for taking no time to clarify problem. I recently visited again, and it was a pleasant buying experience. Hope all continues to go well, and I will be back. I'll be a regular on Football Saturdays for sure. read more

I went in looking for a very specific kind of wine and got a very condescending lecture about how little I knew about wine instead of asking questions to help me find what I was looking for. I left empty handed, went to a different helpful store where I found exactly what I needed. Only visit if you have zero questions because the guy I spoke to was a complete jerk! read more

These guys are dead from the neck up. Broke a bottle one foot outside their store because they over-packed the paper bag they gave me and the bottom gave out. The overbearing "wine expert" from inside, who had already soured my mood with his overall pretension and self-satisfaction at having told me that Burgundy only produces 100% Pinot noir, immediately told me he saw that I didn't have a hand under the bag. He then graciously offered to sell me another bottle at cost, rather than replace the one that shattered on their sidewalk due to their desire to be stingy with their paper bags. I would like to acknowledge the good fellow's keen sense of vision at having spotted my flaw of not placing a hand under the bag. If only he were that attentive within his field he would have found out that burgundy also produces a red grape known as gamay. This visit aside, I nearly always have a negative experience shopping for wine at this place. I have extensive wine training and tend to know what I'm looking for; this always leads to over pushy salesmen asking what it is I'm looking for, which leads to a conversation in which they feel uncomfortable because I'm interested in grapes/regions they know nothing about. This ALWAYS ends up with the person having a chip on his shoulder and spewing some redundant wine fact or another in order to conceal his insecurity as well as his red neck. The only reason I'm not giving one star is that they have a solid basic selection of French wine, worse on the Italian side, and then a motley of new world wine from some decent regions in California. read more

Been here twice now over the holidays. It's a really nice store. Came in for my second visit 12/31 and the place was obviously busy. I wasn't a fan of all the staff standing around the room acting like body guards/security. It made my experience feel like I was being watched like a hound and suspicious of theft. I did have a bum inside ask me for 10 cents and the manager hollered at him that wasn't allowed, that was nice/awkward. I think their prices are totally fair & reasonable. I'll certainly continue patronizing this business. Great location. Just need to ease up on the atmosphere and not make it feel so intimidating. Bozeman is already arrogant enough, please don't add to this pretentious behavior and send the locals elsewhere. read more

Hours are from 0900 to 2100, six days a week. I sitting here at 0945 and it isnt open. Six cars have pulled up in about the 4 minutes ive been waiting. Perhaps an emergency has occurred tonperson with keys. Other employees are wanting in to go to work, No way to run a business. read more

Normally the people who work here are ok, despite voicing an opinion with every purchase, but tonight was pretty bad. I show up two minutes before they close. As I approached the front door a gentleman walks out with his purchase and I nod my head. As I enter the first door, an associate opens the second and instead of asking me how he can help he simply says we are closed and walks away.. Needless to say I was quite upset and having worked retail my entire life I know this is a huge no no and I hope this review will help them understand the importance of customer satisfaction. read more
