For our first night in Bozeman we chose MAP based on reviews of the food but also for the amazing views from the restaurants large windows. We had a BBQ sandwich with slaw on the bun and sweet potato fries. Root beer was a speciality and was good. We had good, quick service. It is a stand alone restaurant with dedicated parking and lots of beer on tap. They have up and downstairs seating as well as out door seating. I would recommend.

When looking up all the must go to spots in Bozeman, Map Brewing is a common restaurant everyone's lists. The view hands down will be the best view while eating a meal or sitting down with a beer. I will say, however, that there are better options around for food. There is a wide range of food options on the menu, but after trying a few items nothing really stood out to me as anything special. I don't recommend the Hopped Cheddar Burger as there were an insane amount of jalapeños on it and not much flavor. Service was solid and no complaints. This is a place that you should go to if you want to enjoy a beer/drink while looking at the views.

Craft brewpub in northern of Bozeman. It's located in a park next to a lake. It's probably the most scenic craft brewery I've been to, since you get a gorgeous view of the lake and the mountains in the distance. They also have an outdoor patio area with red Adirondack chairs, makes for nice photos. The inside is medium sized. There's the main floor bar area, and then tables are on 2nd floor loft. Some eclectic outdoors/hunting lodge type of items on the walls. Doing good business on a weekend afternoon. They have a pretty big selection of brews, with about half a dozen year around beers, and a lot more seasonal varieties. You can get a 4x4oz tasting flight which I got. Beer was pretty decent. Even the IPA wasn't overly hoppy. The food menu is classic American pub fare. I got the MAP burger which is burger with two smashed patties. Good sized burger with decent buns. I got fries for the side, and they filled the plate with fries. The fries were okay, but there's a lot of it. Overall, food was decent, and the view is great.

A local's hidden gem! Expect great views, a lively patio, great beer, and fresh food. The menu is on the small side, but you can't go wrong with anything - they're all fantastic! Ranch is homemade and elevates any salad, fry, or burger.

Loved this spot just a few mins out from downtown. Great beer selection including couple sours, which we enjoyed in the Biergarten Adirondacks with a stunning view of the lake and mountains behind it. We also tried one of their lagers and IPAs in town and enjoyed those as well. Our 2 8oz sours were like $11 total I think - which is a steal! All the staff were super friendly, and the food looked really good.

Maps in Bozeman. Amazing beer, excellent food, and a great view. The lake behind is great. Service is excellent. I tried 2 flights. Every beer I've had here is very good. I listed them all on Untapped. All beers were rated at least a 4. The beer here is the best in Bozeman and stay for the food; it's delightful. I'll be back.

M8, a very refreshing lager from MAP Brewing Company!

MAP Brewing Co. Is yet another Bozeman brewery I had on my map for a very long time. I was thrilled when I finally was able to try one of their beers along with Steve for the first tasting excursion with this brewery! The beer that we enjoyed was the M8. This was a lager in which you pick up notes of citrus, pine, a grainy sweetness, hoppiness and perhaps some purposeful grassy flavor. The beer has a clean and crisp finish and is nice and smooth. This is a perfect beer as the summer rolls in with waves of heat on some days. M8 is a great lager to crack open and cool off to!

Awesome spot! The beers were all great. Colton was super knowledgeable and easy to talk to. The food hit the spot too. All around a great vibe in a beautiful town. Definitely worth a stop if you're in the area!! Beer recs: Midas crush Kolsch American pale ale Just to name a few... :)

If you only have time for one Brewery in Bozeman, this would be your spot... 1st A terrific assortment of Brew, flavors and styles. With seasonal beers and all round beers. 2nd The interior decor is fun and spacious with very high ceilings but the outdoor deck and patio is to die for. 3rd If you have little ones or a dog, you can grab your beers and bring your chairs and sit out on the lawn off the patio. Look out at the lake. 4th. They even have great food and a signature fries and gravy dish that is a local fave. That is enough of for people to share. One warning!.... Watch your feet because they for some reason have rocks sticking up out of the cement on the patio that if you're looking at the lake and not the ground you could easily trip over it or back up over it cuz it's right behind the bar. Where are you stand. I got the flight of beers cuz I couldn't decide and truly like them. All everybody love their beers Bartender was nice, wait staff was spunky and friendly. We had a lot of other places to visit in our week that we were in Bozeman so didn't make it back. But next time we're going to also kayak out on the lake and make a plan to come over for beers in between.

Amazing!! This place has the food, the beer and the Views!!! So glad we found this spot for lunch and a drink. We ordered a couple Pretzel's served with warm queso to start paired perfectly with my Jalapeño party Mexican beer(so good and refreshing) the pretzels and queso were 10/10 for dinner I was feeling adventurous and tried their Huck Burger which was local burger topped with house-made huckleberry jam, smoked gouda, and greens tossed in lemon oil OMG amazing it was giant I took 1/2 to go but the jam paired with the cheese and arugula was so flavorful and tasty the fries on the side were hand cut fries and perfectly crispy. Service was so welcoming and offered so many great beer options and food choices

Constant flies were disgustingly at MAP. They really miss the mark on service too. But the views and food are so good I would still tell you to go here. The portions and taste are exactly what you want. You can get on the list online before you arrive but you may have to wait awhile depending on how many people are working that day. Beautiful lake views. Big patio and upstairs and bar too! Yummy place! There is a free attached private parking lot. Location is pretty far away from town but worth it.

I found there are lots of breweries. The challenge is finding a brewery with food. Looking for a place to enjoy dinner and a craft beer Yelp was kind enough to guide me to MAP. Upon entry the feel is an open wood lodge. Merchandise by the front door followed by the bar and seating area. Opted for a seat at the bar. Service I have to say was many stars beyond five. Friendly, talkative, willing to help, even with dumb questions. I was glad to see they serve beer in 5oz as well as pints. The 5oz were perfect allowing me to try several. The one that stuck out for me was Noise Complaint a dill pickle sour. It is like drinking alcohol infused pickle juice. Yum! The plum ginger sake lager was also big hit for me. Paired with the house brat and daily Hungarian cream of mushroom soup was double yum. In all I love the friendly staff, atmosphere, BEER, and food. This is now bookmarked in Yelp for a future return. Thank you MAP.

Just a few minutes off the freeway. They had a total of six lagers on their menu. And before you rip on Lager Nation, how many more IPAs, scotch, ales, or more recently sours do we need? Give us lager lovers a little love, please this place certainly does. The bear was great and so was the food. I will come back here anytime!

**November 2025: Saturday Night**…read more My mom and I were looking for a spot to enjoy dinner that had parking. We drove around downtown Bozeman for a good 30 minutes, and didn't have any luck in securing parking. I found Mountain Walking Brewery and thought I'd take a chance and prayed that there would be a lot or that I would be super lucky with street parking. We were in luck and there was one very small spot near the front of the restaurant - hallelujah! The restaurant was poppin' - almost every table was taken, but we were offered bar seating and we gladly accepted. After purusing through the menu I decided that we should try a variety of items including a side of Brussels sprouts, Bowl of Bison Chili, and a Fig and Arugula Pizza. Service was quick and we got all our items in a pretty timely manner. The pizza had a really great crust the dough had a nice bounce to it. I think for me they were a tad overly generous with the balsamic vinegar glaze which made the pizza quite salty. I would definitely order a pizza again but perhaps the Margherita or the Carnivore. The bison chili was a good standard bowl and the brussel sprouts while crispy was also very salty - I think it was definitely over dressed, but maybe since the majority of patrons were drinkin the salty foods would pair well. Seems like a fun place to hang out, but for me I'd probably pick anything that doesn't have glaze or soy sauce.

We went up & ordered right away. This (our 3rd stop in Montana) was the 1st place to hand us the 3 stamp card. We, not being from Montana, looked at it as if he'd handed us a random appendage from his body, no doubt. All we were trying to do was pay for our drink - ha. His explanation was "that's our tab, if you decide you want another, bring the card up." We tried to explain that we didn't want another. We were only having one & we'd like to pay. He told us to hold on to the card & pay after we were done. We went out back to the permanent food truck and ordered Kels kryptonite, the pretzel & a chicken & Belgian waffle w/ hot honey. It took about 20min. While we waited, we sipped our beer and flipped these cards over looking for clues... then we took to Google... then we spied on other people. Maybe we would have enjoyed the beer more if we knew what these cards were for and what the heck we were supposed to do with them! Fossil Fuel IPA scored a 3.25 from Kel n/a from me The Capone Oatmeal Stout a 3.5 from Kel 3.25 me Both on the average side with no major knocks or stand outs for features. The food was fresh & tasty - we wrapped up & went inside. We were asked for our cards, our book was stamped, we paid for 1 beer & went out still lost... At our NEXT stop, the barkeep explained that by Montana law, there's a 3 pour limit & a lot of larger places uses cards to track pours (aha!) & a strict 8pm cut off for taps - which we came waaay too close to!
