Service was quick, very friendly, and knowledgeable. Wood fired grill right in the middle of restaurant, vintage wood refrigerator, butcher block counters and tables all screamed that this restaurant has a soul and character. Other customers that perhaps were perceived as bigger paychecks were consistently served before me. At first I sat at the bar to make it easy for the servers. The 6 oz fillet seemed more like 4 and was ok - the baked potato noticeably smaller than most but loaded at least. The restaurant scene is Helena is pitiful, to be honest. Billings is the place in Montana to be for restaurants. Maybe Bozeman or Missoula but unfortunately, the capital is lacking. The martinis were decent but not as good as the windmill in billings.
