Mako Sharks, Blue Sharks, Minkey and Pilot Whales all came to hang around the boat. The bird's eye view aka Pirates Nest is awesome to look out, you can see other wild life from afar when you're up top. I would recommend bringing binoculars if you're going to have a slice of watermelon up there. I can't say enough good things about the overall experience from the minute we got on-board until our final departure. Booking the trip was a breeze, communication prior to the trip was spot on, and the experience surpassed my expectations. Captain Chuck and his daughter were amazing. They are patient, supportive and if it were not for their encouragement I would not have made it through my fear of "breathing under water" and would have missed out. We were able to see three blue sharks during the trip and one was almost constantly by the boat during the day. We are already planning our next trip to come back.

I go fishing for stripers every summer with the same captain we've used for yrs. unfortunately he was booked the weekend we needed to go. So I looked at a number of reviews and found this boat. First let's start off that he charges more than pretty much everybody else! The boat that we normally go on charges 600 for a half day... Many of the other boats charge 650 to 700... He charges 750! So of course he and some of the other captains say that anyone under 700 is desperate and you won't catch fish...Total BS! Anyway talked him down to 725 which still wasn't good. Tells us to show up at 5:30... We're there at 5:30... The first mate is there before us... Captain shows up a little before six! I Ask the first mate where is the captain, he said he's late... I said that's odd for a captain to be late... He said he's always late! So we were supposed to get a five hour trip, we left at six stop fishing at 10:30! He shorted us a half hour and we were catching a ton of fish at that time. So we paid more for less time! He also made a couple of surly comments throughout the day that my friends and I did not like. I would never book this captain again! We caught only two stripers and some smaller Seabass and some Porgies. Overall not a horrible day of fishing but from the best!

Took us to the best spots and guided us with techniques. Besides from catching more fish we knew what to do with, we spotted dolphins and a whale before we reached our second spot. He took us to many fishing spots around the Montauk lighthouse, some closer to shore and others a ways out. He had many spots marked on his Gps so they were easy to get to. He baited all of our lines, measured all of our catches so we had keepers to take home. He also filleted some sea bass for us at the end. We did a lot of research and were unable to book a sailing adventure until we spoke with Afton from our hotel. Afton was fantastic and was able to find Island Girl Adventure for us. Words can't express the amazing experience we all had. Bill & Maggie picked us up from the Marina at Gurney's Star Island. They were super friendly and down to earth captains! They took us on a beautiful Sunset Cruise around Montauk and treated us to chilled champagne and gourmet appetizers! We listened to relaxing music and had many laughter's during the two hour trip. The photos we captured during this sunset cruise are priceless and we're all left with beautiful memories that will last a lifetime! My 2.5 year old daughter joined us on this trip and wore a life jacket. According to the captains she was the youngest guest/sailor on their charter :) She had lots of fun as she watched the sunset on the ocean! We can't wait to return and book a Fishing Trip w/Bill & Maggie! We highly recommend them and can't wait to see them again soon! We like Kenney's beach & McCabe's on the sound but it seems that the beaches on the bay are much calmer and you can keep your umbrella up without the wind blowing it over. Very serene watching the sailboats and shelter island across the bay. The parking is really great and bathrooms are available too. P.S. Go to Billy's by the Bay (Wednesday-Sunday opened only) after to get some lobster as located on the same road :)

When I called, the captain was rude, dismissive, and completely unprofessional, claiming they "left at 6:45 because nobody showed up." There was no instruction anywhere in the booking confirmation or website about needing to arrive early or check in ahead of time. If an earlier arrival was required, it should have been clearly communicated. Instead, I was left standing on the dock watching my paid trip disappear -- and then got blamed for it. This is terrible customer service and a total lack of accountability. If this is how they treat paying customers, I strongly suggest booking elsewhere.
