yeap one! I scheduled to have an MRI of my knee , they gave me an appt 6/22/2019 1:45 I get to URG 10 Plum st at 1:30 text not ready. Was asked to change and waited til 2:10 Tech stil not ready I left told them I would call and reschedule. Was rescheduled for 6/28 1pm I arrive at 12:45 waited til 1:15pm I asked how much longer? Someone came out gave me scrubs to change into and told me I would be on the table in 2minutes. Tech comes out and says that is a mistakes its going to be longer! What !!!! The staff was friendly and personable. The facility is very clean. The front desk prioritizes phone calls over people standing at the desk. My appointment (MRI, scheduled during my lunch break) began 30 minutes after the scheduled time. Thankfully I scheduled some extra time, as this seems to be the norm at most doctor/medical offices. I signed a release at the time of my appointment so I could get my image on CD. I was told to come back that evening to pick it up. Of course when I arrived at 7 PM for pickup, it hadn't been done, so I had to go back the next day. They accepted my insurance--certainly a plus. So, there's good and bad. read more

I needed a simple chest xray done, and was referred to this place by my doctor. I called and was able to get an appointment here the same day. When you call you can make an appointment at any one of their three centers, and the woman I spoke with on the phone was very gracious and patient. Even just from that exchange, I already had a good impression about the place. And that impression just got better and better. I got there ten minutes before my appointment time, I was checked in quickly, and was told to wait for the technician. The waiting room had a Keurig! There was also a sign that said if it's 15 min past your appt time you should check with the front desk... it was pretty clear that they care about their patients' time. When it came time for the actual chest xray, I was in and out of there in minutes. You're given a changing room, and there's a key provided so you can safely lock your personal belongings in there until you're done with your imaging. The technician I had was friendly and efficient, and I was done before I knew it. My doctor received the result the next day, and when I found out I needed to get an actual copy of my xray report from the radiologist, I was able to walk in and they printed it for me on the spot. Overall, I've been nothing but impressed with my experience here. read more

On Wednesday 11/17/21 at 7 AM took my mother who has dementia for an ultrasound the ultrasound of the abdomen. Tech Rachael was uncaring and sarcastic because she did not have enough water in her bladder. I told her she drank water. She said maybe it went to some other part of her body. She was telling my mother turn on you side off course with dementia you just have to be patient. No patience at all!! The paper she gave us to wipe of the gel from the upper part of her abdomen I just had to held in my hand even though I asked her where could I put this. I could tell she was upset. She send us back upstairs to wait for half an hour. In 15 minutes she was ready. In going back to the room you could smell the Lysol spray as if she had germs. read more

It was very easy to get an appointment here and the technicians were wonderful, especially Rukiya!! This was a first time mamogram and ultra sound for me and I was made to feel very comfortable and cared about. I would definitely come back here if needed and would recommend this place to others! I've been trying to get an appointment changed for two days now ,I'm told someone he will call me back and nobody's calling me back. When I call the office I waited for 25 min For an operator to even pick up,She told me she is working from home and need to send a message. And it all sounds very chaotic and disappointing. I've had three tests done here (small bowel series, CT scan with IV contrast, and an ultrasound) and each time was easy and smooth. The desk staff are always friendly (which is rare with medical places I am finding) and the nurses and other staff are helpful. If you're someone like me who is nervous for any tests they will definitely put you at ease. They don t answer questions, they put you in a phone loop, you have to listen to their incessant crap while you re on hold, which is forever. My experience today was fantastic. My paperwork was filled out previously online. Today I received a text instructing me to answer a few questions and to wait in my car until called. I was called in very quickly and met at the door. Everything was very clean, safe and organized. I was very impressed with the new Covid safety protocols. Horrible experience over a two month period. I needed an Anatomy scan ultrasound for my pregnancy. My original appointment scheduled in early September in west Caldwell was canceled the night before because they said the appointment was "too late" and that because the scan takes one hour they can't see me that late. The appointment was for 6pm and they're open till 7. So it sounds like someone wanted to leave early. Couldn't get another appointment until mid October in Verona. They called a few days before and said they don't do ultrasounds at Verona so they gave me a new appointment for tonight in Nutley. I got to my appointment and while the front desk girl was friendly, the ultrasound tech was rude from the moment I walked in. This was a 7pm appointment so it was the last of the night. For some reason this time it was ok to come late but not at my original appointment? The tech said that because of something it said on my prescription she couldn't do the scan. Even though I went over the prescription with the person who scheduled my appointment, my doctor was aware of the fact I was going there, and my insurance had sent a pre authorization. She tried to tell me they are "looking for something specific and high risk", which is completely false, all I needed was a basic anatomy scan. She was defensive and rude and completely unhelpful. The front desk was no help either. They all looked around clueless and said because of the time of night there was no manager and nothing they could do. So after two months of trying, it is now too late for me to have my anatomy scan as I am entering my third trimester. I'm disgusted with my experience. Techs need to learn some kindness and scheduling office needs to be properly trained. I will tell everyone I know to avoid Montclair Radiology at all costs. read more

I have been here many times for multiple family members. I do not think there has been a time where the front desk has not been rude. One particular occasion I had to wait online for 18 minutes, it was like a super market line. I get it that they could be under staffed. All of the windows were staffed, no one offered a greeting of hello we will be right with you guys. We all were just like I guess we should be here? I seem to have poor luck reaching them on the phone. One time I had to leave a voicemail asking if they did a certain test, they called me back literally 8 days later. At first I forgot about it! Good thing it wasnt urgent. Also contrary to the other person's comment I have been to the Montclair and nutley facilities, Montclair I have not hit a good time for parking. I just went to have a 3D mammography and a transvaginsl ultra sound. They told me the 3D not covered by my insurance. Pay us $75. I said not covered don't need it do the regular one not paying u $75. As I waited I called my insurance company. 3D is 100 percent covered. Ins co was willing to call them - the girl at the desk says no I'm not giving u the number I don't do billing. Sign an ABN and u can get reimbursed. No I'll take my prescriptions back please. This is the second time with this group. I would definitely avoid this place, very unprofessional.I had an abnormal test and made appointment for a follow up, they could not accommodate me except 3 pm, so I did take off work, only to go and find out they put me in the wrong day, refused to accommodate me after waiting over an hour, without any explanation. Let apart I had a completely abnormal test that was NEVER followed up, nor explained to me by any doctor.When asked to speak with a doctor, I was told he is too busy to talk to me, left me phone number and never received a call.Would avoid at all costs. read more

Today when I called to make an appointment for a bone density test, I was told that no one could get me onto a table for this. WORST EXPERIENCE ever! The office staff is rude, condescending, arrogant and lacks basic human decency and compassion. They don't treat you like a person, let alone a patient. I had the best experience here today. When I called to change my appointment twice, they were kind and accommodating on the phone. I checked in with ease and and was taken in for my cat scan very quickly. Terri was my nurse and she was excellent. I didn't get the woman's name who did my cat scan, but she was excellent too. Both answered my questions and put me at ease. This was my first cat scan. The facilitate is new and very clean. I had to wait for my films and they told me 20 minutes, by the time I walked to my car for my coffee and sat back down the films were in my hand. Not sure why this place has such bad reviews. I almost didn't book with this location because of it but I'm glad I went! After a terrible experience at an open MRI facility in Clifton, I decided to go to Montclair radiology for my MRI. Front desk was friendly and very reassuring since I have pretty bad anxiety after my last experience. They took me in at exactly my appointment time and the tech was so kind. She checked in on me halfway through and got me out within 15 minutes. I wish they offered headphones with music but they do provide earplugs. I actually preferred the wide bore MRI to the open one. I always used them until I had an ultrasound of my liver. The radiologist called my doctor with great concern that he saw my gallbladder with multiple polyps stuck to the side. I was told it must come out. I got 2 more 2nd opinions and was told according to report it's bad and must be removed. Well had the surgery and the surgeon said there was nothing, it was normal. I went to Montclair Radiology just to ask what the radiologist could of saw. The receptionist was so nasty said the doctor doesn't talk to patients the polyps probably went away I'll amend the report to say they were never there. Are you kidding me? I have so many gi problems now and they blew me off! I believe they got me confused with another patient especially since it's snowing out now and they called me 3 times to cancel my appointment. Incredibly accommodating staff..I walked in and gad forgotten my documentation at another doctor's office. They called them to have the paperwork faxed so I did nit have to do two trips. Despite not having scheduled an appointment I barely had to wait 5 minutes (I understand this may vary by day). This imaging center does not honor their appointment times. As I sit here 35 minutes past appointment time, I have just been told it's another 40 minutes. It's a sad thing that I have to write this review. I was very pleased with my visit to this place the first time! Tha staff was courteous and the technician thoroughly knew the work. But the next time thy made an error in rescheduling . I called them stating I received a text to reschedule but was told that the appointment will be on time only to reach the place and hear that all appointments had been rescheduled except mine even when I had called to reschedule. Worst experience ever. I received a bill from Montclair Radiology and naturally the insurance company wasn't covering anything (Thanks Obama). Mont Rad said an extension would not be a problem while I wrote an appeal to Oxford (one month turnaround time). However, two weeks later, I received a notice from a collection agency courtesy of Montclair Radiology. I contacted the woman I had been dealing with, and she had no record or recollection of granting me the extension (thanks Rosemary). Never again. read more

I have never had a good experience with the Montclair office. This visit I called ahead to ask the billing department about how my test would be billed to the insurance. It was a three party call - Montclair Radiology's billing department, me, and a representative from my insurance company. The office said this test was no charge under my plan. I proceeded with the test but office staff at the Montclair location suggested I make a second call to billing in regards to my test after it was completed. The billing office then said they never heard of me and that I would be billed full price for the very expensive test - it was the same day! They were rude and umcompassionate indicating that "I had already gotten the test" and now I was "just going to have to figure out a way to pay for it."
