They changed the name a while back. It's now Monte Real. Same great food. Same large Dos Equis.

Amazing safe space vibes. The food was delicious, the kids meal had safe foods that were plain and perfect for picky eaters- as well as expansive regular Mexican foods. The quesadilla was delicious! I had the California burrito and it was excellent. The chips could be better- but everything else was perfect. We will be back! Thanks!!! P.s. love the art on the windows! Supporting local artists is always a win for me!

The place was mostly empty when we got there, and we were seated immediately. The service was between two guys, both so nice and really just over the top excellentce. We ordered, mostly streettacoss of the steak variety, a plain burger and fries, a couple of burritos. I had the tacos. They were very good and they came with a green and a red sauce on thesidee. Very good stuff. I'd worth going back for. The fries are good, the burrito my wife had was super delicious. They also have great house-made horchata, so good. And they brought out a selection of juices to try. The hibiscus and mango were my favorite. Overall, we hadan delicious meal with great service. What's not to love? I heard they're opening for breakfast soon.

She was nice, professional, and available. She is really excellent! So, as far as the food goes, everything was good. We had a plain cheeseburger and fries for a kid. Another kid had the shrimp tacos which were really good. Three tacos with a side of rice and beans. The shrimp was super tasty and the portion was of a decent size. I had the pollo portosino, which consists of pieces of grilled chicken cooked with bacon and topped with cheese sauce. It also came with rice, refried beans and tortillas. The flavor of this was pretty great. Good salty bacon came with it, and I like dishes with tortillas on the side. The rice at this location is very good and has plenty of flavor. Another family member had the Mount Airy special, which is basically a chimichanga (chicken in this case). Chimis are always a good meal, and this was no exception. Overall, the whole table was pleased and we came away with our to-go boxes and a smile on our faces. I've been to a few of the Tlaquepaque locations and this one is up there with the Pilot Mountain NC location in terms of food for sure.

I know that's not a lot money, but over time it adds up. I called the restaurant and spoke with the manager who stuttered trying to explain why the charge was there and hung up on me (rude). Just another way these people nickel and dime everyone. The food used to be good but was cold and not that good. Will never go back after supporting them for years, done with them.

We were waited on by Roberto, nice guy. The table Chios and salsa are average, very common. I got two carnita tacos and they were delicious. Good flavor and packed. I do wish they were dou me bagged. The single corn tortilla disintegrates when wet. I asked for more hot sauce and got a red and two greens. The red is medium hot and a more creamy green was the same. The third was a tomatillo. All good sauces. The rest of the flood was good. Overall, this is a decent place if a bit Americanized. Worth visiting.

We were greeted walking in and seated within the same moment. Good staff, all of the folks we encountered were friendly, kind and attentive. Our server was funny and polite, and went out of her way to make us feel welcome and appreciated. The food was okay, even though the menu was the same im not sure that it was as good as the other location? After perusing the menu, I decided on the Enchiladas Verdes, three chicken filled enchiladas topped with green sauce and served with rice and pickled onions. It was a pretty good meal, the enchiladas were okay but the rice bland and kind of boring. The presentation also lackluster. Kind staff and the same menu as the other locations, but the food at this location was not as good as the other. 3 Stars it served its purpose 01255

And spotted its iconic small red building (absolutely charming). Just one look and you're curious... we walk inside. We had a German Shepherd with us. I walked in and asked if we could sit with our dog in the outdoor seating. Greeted with an enthusiastic, "Hey Amigo!" I was caught off guard but just knew immediately it was going to be a GOATED local spot. Outdoor seating was exceptional! Nice, cozy and simple - nothing more, nothing less. I ordered the Birria Taco dish. Plated perfectly, cooked to order, taste? Phenomenal simply. The beef was so tender, the consomé soaked perfectly and complemented not only the tacos, but the rice and beans served with it. Pure cinema. Service was fast. The guy that greeted me earlier? Yeah, he was serving too and he had everything locked in. What a guy! I imagine the back of house staff are all stellar people too - complements to the chef and team. You guys are awesome. The thing that did it for us was the small free dessert. I don't exactly know the name of it but... FREE? Perfect for the two of us real quick before we left. If you see this little gem on your map. Go there expeditiously and enjoy the little things. Perfect everything.

My friend ordered tacos al pastor. Tasty, says he. Overall, it is decent food, and I'd come back.

There is a candy stand at the desk too. The service and attention to detail was amazing. The fooooood was a big star. I am on a mission to branch out and try a lot of new food this year, and today that included a bit or two of each dish ordered- An ACP dish, a burrito, a steak taco, spicy sauces, queso and chips, and my actual order- the pupusas. Everything- was absolutely delicious. I really enjoyed the pupusas- which I hear may be a salvadorian influenced dish? The shrimp in the different dishes was cooked perfectly- which I know from my various excursions and attempts in the world and my own kitchen- is not a guarantee. Accessibility notes: FULL stars. Various seating and options, tables and booths, room to navigate comfortably. A small ramp outside on the curb. And the bathrooms were actually fashioned correctly- in the handicap stall the bars were in the right places and at the right heights- as was the toilet paper holder- no bending necessary to access it seated. The door to the restroom was not too heavy either. Very refreshing as this is often a chaotic messed up set up at some place. We came as a group, for a friend lunch date after thrifting and we had a fantastic time! So happy and we will definitely be back!

The Birria tacos were really good but I do think it could use a little more flavor. I still ate every bite. The Salsa and Queso was honestly my favorite. I love Queso anyway but theirs did not disappoint. It was so hot with no lumps! Overall, I would recommend for a quick lunch date and the drinks.
