We were waited on by Roberto, nice guy. The table Chios and salsa are average, very common. I got two carnita tacos and they were delicious. Good flavor and packed. I do wish they were dou me bagged. The single corn tortilla disintegrates when wet. I asked for more hot sauce and got a red and two greens. The red is medium hot and a more creamy green was the same. The third was a tomatillo. All good sauces. The rest of the flood was good. Overall, this is a decent place if a bit Americanized. Worth visiting. read more

Now known as Ma'Luz. Food was good. but expensive compared to other places nearby. Bar service on a Sunday lunch was mediocre at best. Had to ask for Chips and Salsa, given a beer that wasn't even opened. Bar stools were not comfortable and didn't have hardly any room to move with the table right behind me where it was. I was very pleased with the King, NC Mi Pueblo (also branded as Ma'Luz) - their menu featured birria ramen soup. The noodles, in appearance and texture, were more like the instant ramen, but the flavor was way beyond that. The super savory broth, heated with chiles (don't eat by accident ) and other stew-appropriate spices (think I tasted some cumin) had a rich, earthy flavor. That along with the slow-cooked beef, will not leave you hungry. The servers and manager there were outstanding too. I'll for sure be back next time I'm by King again. read more

We had to wait an unusual amount of time for our meal. It was nothing special,just basic off the menu meals. Well..when the food got there, mine was supposed to have cheese sauce on it, it did, a little. My food was extremely dry and to gwtmore cheese, of course we would have to pay for it. Not happening. It's the afternoon of Christmas eve so not super busy. The smell of food hits you when you first come in and it was good. The hostess greeted us pretty quickly. (Omg, loved her eye makeup!) My boyfriend got ACP. His son got beef hard tacos. And I got grilled shrimp tacos. All the food was good. I will say I ordered mines with corn tortillas and those things didn't hold up. I'm used to getting double. But still delicious. The music was fun to dance to. And we got tres leches for dessert, so good!!!! Our server was chill and attentive. The overall vibe is like any other casual Mexican spot, so nothing too special. I do like that they have pictures on the menu. Mi Pueblo has become a staple restaurant for us when we visit our grandparents in NC. You really can't beat the value with the food quality for the money, especially in a small town like King without many dining options. The menu has some new items such as fish tacos and several really delicious seafood and vegetarian options, with plenty of other meats as well. The salsa is some of the best I've had, and the workers walk around with large containers of it and refill it before you run out. The portions are large, and after I boxed about half of my shrimp enchilada to take home, the workers even gave me some extra salsa. Score! Each time we've been here, we've had great service and all aspects of our orders were correct. The food is always delicious, too! read more

Mi Pueblo was my go to for Mexican food for many many years up until recently the food quality has went downhill I went to order recently and seen a massive increase on every menu item the biggest hit I've seen at any location for food that I visit on a normal Chicken fajitas are now 18$ which is a price that I've never seen anywhere even in expensive cities I get inflation and all but they've took it to the next level due to decreased food quality hit with increased prices I won't be back sadly read more

Ok this place is located in a rural town in NC - expectations shouldn't be high. The food honestly wasn't great, everything had way too much cheese, meat was seasoned oddly, salsa was bland, but none of that matters because my expectations were managed. Normally I don't review restaurants but this experience this evening takes the cake. The last time we ordered Mi Pueblo they messed up my daughters order. She cannot have beans and they didn't adhere to our request of "No Beans". My daughter actually called who whomever she spoke with apologized and said when you come in again your next chicken burrito is on us and they put it under my daughters name. Tonight my mom offered to pick up dinner from Mi Pueblo. I reminded my mother of my daughters free chicken burrito. When this was mentioned to the staff I immediately started getting messages from my mom about this chicken burrito. "Who's name is under, was there a manger and their name." Since I didn't have the info I asked my daughter to call my mom. Unbeknownst to me the manager who was there this evening Aldo had words with my 22 year old daughter asking her to drive all the way to sign a statement In Order to pick up this chicken burrito. As if to sign it Out Even though my mother was right there. While my mom was speaking with my daughter Aldo tried to grab my 73 yr old mothers phone out of her hands to take it off of speaker phone. I cannot say enough Do Not Go Here. Luis is no longer there and the management that is there feels it's absolutely ok to constantly mess up orders and make feel an elderly woman feel her personal space was invaded. This place used to be my family's go to restaurant in King but the past few times we have ate here one of us always ends up getting sick from it. Myself and my mother both have had E. coli after eating here on 2 separate occasions. One occasion the beef wasn't done and I sent it back and the waiter was very apologetic but the manager acted like it was just a petty complaint and didn't seem to care even though he credited the dish! They seem to change employees very quickly when it used to be the same employees for months or years and they would move up the ladder within the restaurant! If you want really awesome Mexican food try a little place on Mountain View Rd, and Hwy 66. Amigos. Mi Pueblo was overpriced and not what you call good food. I was shocked what looked great on the menu was no more than a sandwich and what's worse that sandwich was horrible and cost fourteen dollars. I just left it on my plate and ate chips. We stopped here after a long day's drive and had some of the best service one could ask for...friendly, kind, generous. This restaurant really goes above and beyond, even to people who they have never seen before. I loved my street tacos with grilled shrimp, brisket, and grilled beef. My husband raved over the gringas tacos pastor and two others that I can't remember the name of. We got the chunky avocado guacamole (rather than the smooth) and it was excellent, with a bit of added salt. Our server, Diana, anticipated our needs and offered us the special salsa! If you like spicy, ask for the hot sauce they keep in the back. I wish they sold it! The owner came and explained the types of peppers they use in it...really awesome. Mi Pueblo is bland for the most part. I eat there bc my co-workers want Mexican. I don't think I've ever eaten there and walked out and been happy I went there. Its funny how everything on the menu tastes the same and has very little taste. The one good thing is price. Most items on menu are affordable but I think I'd rather go to Town and Country across the parking lot. I recommend you do the same. If you're low on funds this is prob a tolerable place to eat but if you care about taste go somewhere else. read more
