We wanted to try out another breakfast place close to us so we tried out Frank's. It is easy enough to find and there is plenty of parking. We came in with only two other people there and the server/hostess/cashier sat us at the table close to them. I ordered the Chorizo omelet that came with a side, in this case, I chose home fries. We both had coffee and water and my wife got a Belgian waffle combo. The omelet came out along with my wife's sides and the aforementioned said the cook burned the waffle so they were remaking it. With permission, I began to eat and the omelet was okay, the chorizo was not prominent and it was decent tasting. The homefries were just chopped-up potatoes cooked and on a plate, nothing really special. That dish was $10.99 the day we ate. The coffee was okay too, not the best coffee I had but not the worst. All, in all Frank's, is OK.

Finally mozied on over to Franks. There are mixed reviews from our friends so we wanted to see for ourselves. Belgian waffle was warm and had a good batter with vanilla notes. My eggs and turkey sausage was okay. I wasn't crazy about the decor, it seemed like they were trying too hard to be farm rustic but just didn't quite do it for me. A little too stark in there. I wasn't crazy about the coffee flavor as well, had a weird aftertaste. Service was very friendly though. For the price I could probably go to other places for better food, so I won't be coming back. But four stars for the service and for my Belgian waffle batter.

I made it to this small place to try one of their Mexican breakfast dishes. This is a small, simply appointed place - wooden chairs, Formica topped tables, faux wood floors - narrow, rectangular interior, a few scattered wall decorations. I settled on the Chilaquiles ($8.99), with the eggs over easy. The version served here contains no meat, so the price seems appropriate! The red sauce was spicy though the color was paler than most version I've encountered. Tortillas are cut into strips or wedges, and simmered in the sauce, either verde or rojo, it is rojo here. In some versions the tortillas are cooked in the sauce but only to the point where some crispness remains - and in other versions the tortillas are cooked longer and almost meld into the sauce but retain some texture, as they are done here! Various toppings are then added - here is Mexican crumbled cheese, sour cream, and onions, and the two eggs are place as the last items. Rice and beans are sides for this item. As prepared here, this was a good, not a great dish. The onions were the horrid red ones, way too strong for this dish. The eggs were requested to be cooked over easy, the centers of both eggs were solidified - not sure why it is so difficult to get this dish or Huevos Rancheros in this area with the eggs fried as requested! I would not order this dish again, would opt instead for the Chorizo Omelet. Service was top notch, efficient and very personable. Ambiance - 3 Food - 4.5 Service - 4.5 Value - 4.5

Took the family back to Frank's this morning and our breakfast was delicious. We were seated immediately, it was very clean and busy. We had the chorizo omelette - delicious, breakfast burrito delicious and double berry waffles with sausage, egg and hash browns - delicious. We were all pleased with our meals, I love it and it's nice having a breakfast restaurant within 5 minutes of our home.

We finally made it up to Rural Hall and decided to stop in at Frank's. Located in a small strip mall it is easy to find. The interior is welcoming and comfortable and appears to be very clean. We were immediately greeted and taken to a table. We were provided menus and our drink orders were taken. We knew from pictures of the menu on Yelp, the menu was on the smaller side. We always appreciate restaurants that allow for either breakfast or lunch options to be ordered since I am not much of a breakfast eater and my wife likes the flexibility. My wife chose the steak fajita omelette with no cheese and the home fries. I ordered the classic hamburger with fries. The prices are extremely reasonable. Our server was attentive and checked on us regularly but it did seem like it took a bit longer than expected for our food to arrive. My wife's omelette and home fries looked good but we both immediately commented the hamburger looked pretty sad. It was apparent the patty was previously frozen and it didn't look very appealing. We really wanted to love Frank's but it just fell short of our expectations. While we can appreciate the low cost of menu items and simple menu we prefer to have more options and are comfortable paying more for better quality and taste. We love and appreciate the family business and everything appeared to be clean and well cared for but it just wasn't for us.

Solid food and very friendly people! Frank's restaurant is a fully family owned and operated breakfast and lunch spot just off of US-52 in Rural Hall. You can find it in the same shopping center as Harbor Freight, and the long standing King's hot dogs. One of the things I definitely want to highlight about this place, Mexican style breakfast options! I couldn't help myself but be enticed by the sound of their chorizo omelette, and the waitress recommended home fries as the side. These turned out to both be excellent decisions. The omelette came with a hearty and spicy portion of chorizo mixed in with onions and peppers, topped with cheese and pico de gallo, and sour cream on the side. I added just tiny dabs of Texas Pete hot sauce, and that bit of vinegar really accentuated the wonderful flavors. The home fries... wow. Perfectly tender, slightly crispy edged, red-skin potatoes with an excellent seasoning blend. They didn't need any help from anything additional, though I did dab a few bites with a little ketchup. The inside is clean and inviting, and the service is both friendly and prompt. I definitely recommend making this a breakfast destination for anyone in the area. Fantastic food at fair prices, and you'll be supporting local in the best way.

I had lunch with a friend of mine here at Frank's Kitchen. It's in a strip mall, so the atmosphere is basically what you'd expect. It's a clean place though, and the service was good. They have a great select of breakfast food, which appears to be served all day. A few American dishes with Mexican inspiration, which is nice to see. I ordered a chorizo omelet, which looked good and tasted great. The coffee was okay. I did try one of the fries and they were decent. Overall, I'd come back for sure.

We were looking for something new to try and found them on YELP. It was just an 11 minute ride from our home so that was a plus! Located on the far right end of a small strip mall with a private parking lot, It's definitely a hole in the wall, but from the moment you walk in you are greeted by the hostess. It was a very warm and family friendly atmosphere. We were seated immediately and our coffee and drinks followed. I was surprised that it's not just a great breakfast and lunch spot but also has some great Latin dishes. Our waitress was wonderful and on point. I went with a traditional breakfast and for the price it was a very healthy portion. All the prices are reasonable. The sausage patties are huge, the home fries are delicious and the gravy on the country fried steak was amazing. We will definitely be back to this hidden gem and this may be my go to breakfast place during the week because it's budget friendly. Found a hidden gem!

You know something's good when your wife finishes half of it before you can take a picture! (Chicken & Waffles, no pwdrd sgr)

TLDR; very clean establishment serving NON-greasy diner food!!!!! First time here! First impression was definitely the warm greeting by who ended up being our waitress as soon as we walk in. How pleasant, actually being appreciated nowadays! Waitress says they've been here one year in August. VERY clean establishment! The wall decor is generally simple, the booth-chair hybrid tables are quite comfy. And now the important stuff. The food! I ordered the Southern Breakfast which is a meat sampler of sorts that comes with 2 eggs and 2 pancakes. Wife ordered Chicken & Waffles. Biggest thing I want to note about the quality of food is that this is NOT a greasy diner. I'm real picky when it comes to that kind of thing so you can trust me when I say this!! We have zero complaints about this place and we're pretty critical people when it comes to our breakfast! Saddest thing about this place is that more people don't know about it. But sad thing about that, is that when people do find out about this place; it's going to be hard to get a seat

AMAZING BREAKFAST SPOT Me and my boyf have been coming to franks kitchen for a couple months now and we absolutely love everything about it from the range of breakfast options to the excellent service all their waiters provide. You can customize anything on the menu to ur liking and it be brought out to u with a smile on her face. It is a family owned business that has its history displayed on the wall inside, being family owned it is pretty lowkey and quiet when they are open which usually isnt past 3pm. We try to go atleast every other sunday since it's my favorite alternative to a busier & more expensive place like say ihop. I would like for the business to be appreciated more by the community and locals who surround the shopping center it's located inside of. It will stay a regular tradition to keep on coming back to franks kitchen for whatever i crave in the mornin time. *esp a hot chocolate* ;))

The food was great I ordered the Southern omelet, and it was delicious and had plenty of protein we also ordered the blueberry pancakes they were perfectly cooked with a great balance of sweetness, I also loved the home fries they were so well seasoned. I really liked this breakfast location they have plenty of seating and the menu isn't overwhelming the service was exceptional our server was very attentive this is a great family restaurant I will definitely be returning and there's also plenty of parking this restaurant is located in a small shopping center in rural hall.

I have the impression they do Greek food really well but everything else seems mediocre. I ordered the chicken fried steak, which was a small portion and lacked flavor. They also initially brought it with brown gravy covering it even though I ordered sausage gravy. Not a big deal, but they told me they had the correct one in the back and would bring it right out. I waited longer than expected for "it's already made," and I'm pretty sure I was lied to and had to wait on a re-fire, which came with the gravy inconspicuously on the side this time, but the service was friendly nonetheless. It was Valentines weekend so we ended up being there while they were quite busy. Still, the wait wasn't terrible, all considered. The French onion soup was delicious, and we were able to get it as a side for only a $2.50 up charge. Worth it! My wife got the turkey meal (not pictured, sorry) and it reminded me exactly of the tom turkey meal I used to get at the diner in NY when I was a growing up! The restaurant is large, bright, and clean though I think it tries to give southern kitchen when really they should probably lean more into the Greek diner vibes. I'll be back to update my review after I've ordered some other options off their menu.

We have always wanted to try this place out seeing it many times off of the roadway and it looked interesting because it was a converted gas station. As we parked and approached campus gas we noted that there was plenty of outdoor seating, primarily wooden benches, tables and places to lounge around outside near the fire pit. There were people enjoying a drink and playing a lively game of cornhole. We strolled around then went inside to explore what the business had to offer in the way of drinks and maybe get something to eat. As it turned out, it was around 9 o'clock, and the lady that came out from the kitchen told me that the kitchen was closed for the evening so we weren't able to get any food at that time so we walked around inside and looked at the small things for sale and the decorations saw the nice high top bar and chairs and since things were winding down, we decided to leave instead of having something to drink. We didn't see a bartender or someone to serve us a drink anyway. So as it stands, we'll have to come back by some other time and check it out.
