In the same area there is also laser challenge where one or two players go in to a dark room and tries to avoid all laser beams while trying to touch all sensors in the shortest time possible. $8 for kids under 7 and $12 for older kids and adults. A few years ago my husband and I came here for my birthday. It took us forever to get through the maze and I started getting a feeling like I wanted to bust through the mirrors to get out! Fast forward to a couple weeks ago when we revisited again on my birthday (maybe I have a birthday theme here?). I told the guy that worked there how it was so "hard" for us the last time we tried it. He told us we could go through with or without the 3D glasses. I asked him to tell me it was harder without the glasses to make me feel better about taking the easy way and he nicely obliged. Being the day before Christmas, it was a quiet day there which was cool because we were the only people in the maze. I did scream a couple times when I thought I saw other people but it turns out it was only our reflection or the creepy mannequins throughout the maze :) At the end, it is fun because we could see the guy at the front desk through the mirrors but could not quite figure out how to get there. He was waving and laughing and it was cracking me up! Come here to enjoy a fun maze and all the other activities they have. There is a cool laser maze thing where you have to get around all the lasers and see if you can get the fastest time. It is also super fun like the mirror maze! read more

Played Oculus all day here. Best way to let the children golf while sitting and riding the coolest video game in town. The skateboard or swing Oculus will give you butterflies. Such a fun place to visit while in Monterey! We bought the "Do it all" package for about $24.00.pp. That included glow in the dark /3D mini golf. Fun and challenging. Two doors down they have the Mirror maze with special glasses to make the challenging maze even more challenging! Sooo much fun. Then the Laser Vault.. try not to break the laser light beams and follow through on the challenge. Our family of 6 had a blast!!! For a good time. . . Stop by this mirror maze. Not just for kids. Childish? I think not! I stopped by a few years ago and it took myself & 2 friends about an hour to get out of this ridiculous(in a good way) maze. I recently returned & Not what you expect at all, tons of FUN. I say go in a group of 3-6 people, if youre 21+ &drink have one before entering & good luck finding your way out! This time it only took about 5 minutes but you can go back in as many times as you like & then go in the opposite direction (took us 2 minutes). Plus I ran into a mirror thinking I made it to the exit a little too soon! Get a discount for checking in Fellow Yelpers!! It's a must every time I'm in the area, I always force a handful of my friends/ family to come with and they end up having an incredible time! No complaints ever. They also have a lazer vault? Mirror Maze is something you should do at least once in your life but no more than once. It is pretty and mesmerizing, especially when you wear those 3D glasses provided. For $12 per person you get a good 30 minutes of entertainment. The maze itself is not that hard but the stroke lights and music were cool. You could stay there as long as you want but the novelty will start to wear after 2 runs. The Laser Challenge seems cool but I didn't get to try it. Cool idea and they could really do more with this. My kids and I had the absolute worst experience ever. My daughter and I have been to this maze numerous times before and there has always been very kind staff who made the experience fun. However todays experience made us not want to ever return. I am guessing the guy that was up front was the owner or manager not sure but from the forst time we came into the store about 11:30am he was being very short and rude to my kids who were not being disrespectful and who followed all their rules, we decided to leave cause he was being rude and we left for a few hours and came back to purchase the laser maze tokens and so the kids could do the mirror maze more. I didn't go thru the maze this time with my kids as I wasn't feeling well but my kids were all 13, well as I sat and waited for them the owner/mngr was joking around with other kids and families and having people see who could make it out of the maze first, he even told one group that his record was 20 seconds and that they could try to beat it, he even went and hide things in the maze for that same group. well when my kids wanted to see if they could beat it he told them no they couldn't even though they were NOT running or being rude and pushing thru people, he singled my kids and I out for some reason not sure why. My kids were very upset because they did nothing wrong and they didn't understand why he was being so mean to them. At this point I wouldn't recommend any of my family or friends go into this establishment ever again. read more

I dragged my boyfriend through the mirror maze and laser room and we actually had a LOT of fun!! The mirror maze is awesome. Luckily my bf and I are keen to details and we were in and out of the maze in a matter of minutes. The other guy that went in there before us was not so fortunate. He was stuck in there for like 20 minutes trying to find the exit but he kept coming back through the entrance! It was hilarious. The laser room reminds me of movies like Mission Impossible. I really am not the best person to write this review. I was the parent that had to patiently wait with the toddler (she was sleeping), while my son and husband ran through the maze several times. I thought that $15 was a bit excessive for the mazes. They looked a little small from the outside, but maybe there was more to them than I thought. Certainly, my son enjoyed the mirror maze and ran through it 4 times at least. He was less enamoured of the laser maze. At first, he was afraid that the lasers would somehow hurt him if he touched them. Even after he went through it once, he was done with it. If this hadn't been one of the only things (other than the Aquarium) to do with kids in Monterey, we probably would never have done it. But my son enjoyed it so I suppose it was worth the $15. I've done mirror mazes before but not with the glasses, and this was an absolutely amazing experience! My family and I were in Monterey celebrating my mother's 70th birthday and we decided to come to Cannery Row to see the Aquarium, get lunch and shop. The gentleman that works there was trying to solicit customers and we decided to go ahead and give it a try! It was $12 per person and that gives you all day admission into the mirror maze. We also purchased some tokens for the lazer challenge ($3 for 3 if you also do the maze. Not sure of the normal price. You have to buy in sets of 3). Now, the mirror maze was kind of short but you can make it longer with more people because it's so fun. We took my two year old daughter and she walked into the mirror a few times, falling onto her butt. We were all having such a fun time, laughing and walking into each other and the mirrors! You can see where you're going if you don't have the glasses on, but the glasses make it really trippy and fun! We had so much fun doing the maze that we decided to do the laser challenge, and we are so glad we did! There are different levels of difficulty to choose from. I think they are all pretty difficult hahaha! You go into a dark room and you have to hit buttons on the wall by walking through lazers and not touching them. The guy who worked there was also very outgoing and enthusiastic with a friendly attitude! We left our shopping bag in there by accident, and didn't realize until about 30 minutes later. We went back to get it and the guy had the bag behind the counter for us, keeping it safe :) Overall, it might be a tad bit pricey but it is such a fun experience! read more

It was so great to find an activity that doesn't involve eating or buying things in cannery row. Besides the Aquarium this was a really fun unique activity and great for kids to adults. The place is squished between shops and pretty much is the Mirror Maze and the new Laser Challenge. $12 for just the mirror maze and + $3 if you want to do the Laser Challenge too for 3 tries. I'd say if you are gonna do the maze you might as well pay the extra $3 and do the laser challenge!! Totally worth it. The mirror maze is unlimited and they let you go in from either opening just to make things interesting. They give you 3D glasses to make it "a little harder" but honestly it was nearly impossible! I'd just like to ask....how do they keep the mirrors so clean and finger print free?? The maze is a world of neon pink and colors, there's some cheesy mannequins of a robber in there it kinda tells you where you are. But its pretty crazy and confusing! If I could just pay for the Laser Challenge I would! It was soooo much fun to watch people do it too (there is a TV screen outside in the waiting area for you to watch). You enter a pretty small room- green laser beams criss crossing- you gotta push a button on the left and then the last button at the end of the room. You are timed and 30 secs add to your score if you trip a laser. I definitely recommend this for your to-do list if you are going to Cannery Row. read more

SO wanted to do this, it's only worth it if you want and like mazes, I like mazes on paper.. if I was alone, I could easily have ran into myself. But you get a stamp on the inside of your wrist and get a set of weird paper glasses which makes everything is even more weird... Ok, they turn on the lights for the little kids so they don't run and hit their heads, but big kids like me, they turn off the lights and flicker them from to time... Fun experience. We have been to the Mirror Maze in San Francisco and thought this would be exactly the same but it's not. There are twists between turns and surprises when you least expect it. Nice diversion after the aquarium. Kind of scary for little kids, but a good way to let off steam after having to "behave" in the more formal setting of the aquarium. Plan to spend 15 minutes going through the first time. Then try going in the other direction. Its good for a few trips. Then the laser challenge is a good follow up. A dollar a try, but cheaper if you buy the tokens in multipacks. This is a little more athletically challenging. Nice fun adventure. Again, a little scary for the younger kids. The boyfriend and I had reservations at Bistro Moulin later in the evening, which was only a 5 minute walk from Cannery Row. We were looking for something to do to pass the time until our dinner reservation. My boyfriend saw Mirror Maze and practically dragged me across the street to go have a look. The service was great and super friendly. We were warmly greeted by a young lady as we walked in and looked around. She informed us we could do the Mirror Maze, laser maze, or Glow in the Dark Mini Golf. I was still too full from lunch to do the laser maze and I don't think I'm anywhere as flexible as the bf thinks I am! I don't enjoy mini golf much either, but the mirror maze suited our time restraint perfectly. It was $12 per person and basically you walk into a dark room that has lots of flashing lights and try to find the exit. A lot of the times you run into mirrors so the key is to keep your arms outstretched in front of you to avoid smooching some mirrors! A lot of the mirrors led you into a corner. Sometimes there were statues that scared the heebie jeebies out of me because I thought it was some scary man! It took us maybe 10-15 minutes to find the exit and then we did it backwards. Just went here today and after reading the not so happy reviews, I realize it's because they never tried the best part, the laser maze! My husband and I wanted to try something fun and different so we came here, at first I felt funny being a 23 year old mother, but after we started I had soooooo much fun. We got a deal where u get 3 rounds of laser maze and all day mirror maze for only $15 each. The mirror maze by itself is $12. The laser maze is super fun, the goal is to reach the buttons without hitting the lasers. Overall we did 4 rounds each of the laser maze and 2 times in the mirror maze, was def. worth $15 each. By the way, to avoid running into the mirrors , all you have to do is stick out your hands and feel around. read more

Ok, this was my first mirror maze and my first time in Monterey. After my trip I determined this was the best thing about Monterey (the aquarium was just ok). Other than the chowder of course.... It was really fun and the lady who worked in front was really nice. My friend and I went a little tipsy and we had a hard time finding the exit. We kept coming back to the entrance after 20 minutes. hahaha. We finally made it through with some navigation from the person in front.
