Located in the plaza to the right of QuickTrip, this store has a restaurant in the back with table tops and counter seating. Parking is plenty and you can see the food being cooked. The menu is massive and has your standard Mexican cuisine. I of course went for some tacos and they did not disappoint. The staff was friendly and helpful. read more

Good food at a decent price. The only downside is that seating could get a little tough if you have more than 3~4 in your group. Tortillas are made on premise and they have a butcher right in the market so you know the meat is fresh. Love how they usually have menudo available both times I visited. Their tacos and enchiladas are pretty solid as well. Overall, think they have all the bases covered in terms of quick eats as well as some of the more "fancy" dishes. Would suggest going with the quick eats because I think they are better at those. read more

We finally returned and I am bumping the review from a 3 to a 4. My wife had the beef burrito. It was a bit heavy on the rice and beans but toasted to perfection. I had three tacos and they are the perfect size. The service was great. We did not fit in with their typical customer base but they made us feel very welcome. One employee kept giving us the 'thumbs up'. How cool was that? We will be eager to return. Edit: I forgot to mention that this is the only place that sells taco flavored Doritos. Yummy. read more

I didn't do any grocery shopping here but they do have a good size grocery station. My brother brought me for a quick bite and I have to confess it's not my favorite spot. The sizes are pretty large but the flavor lacks a bit. Now, I haven't tried everything on the menu so I can't speak for all the dishes. Don't come here. The meat market advertises fresh meats. But when you order meat, the butchers go to the back and package up older meats. When I asked the butcher why he packaged up meat from the back room, he explained that the owner doesn't allow them to sell the fresh meat that's on display until the older meat from the back room is sold first. WHAT?! I was confused. I told the man that I didn't want the old meat and I wanted to buy the fresh meat. He said the owner wouldn't allow him. Bad business practice. My second interaction, I ordered some tacos from the food market. The pork skin tacos, chicharon, was made from OLD meat. The meat had a nasty taste and was very hard. It wasn't soft. This is coming from a Mexican man. I returned to the location with the food in hand and asked to speak with someone. I showed them the quality of food and the person laughed and said "next time, we'll be sure to make it extra burned." Stay away from this place!! No vengas aquí. I've frequented here for over two years now. The food is pretty good. I waited 20 minutes today just to get a menu. No hello, no menu, nothing. This is a very very authentic Mexican restaurant. I speak perfect Spanish and I was asked in English "do you need help?". I'm sitting with absolutely *nothing* on my table, so yes I do. I finally get my order in. It comes out and it's pretty good. The manager here was very condescending towards, since I don't *look* Hispanic but speak perfect Spanish, but that's okay. Today's experience made me feel uncomfortable and that maybe I should go elsewhere for now. Every customer, regardless of what they look like, should be treated with the same respect and courtesy, as everyone else. This was my last time today. Customer service sucks. Went for tacos and I had to interrupt the woman behind the counter to ask if I could get something to drink. Then, when finished with my meal she didn't ever look at me as I stood there waiting for my ticket so I left and went to the grocery checkout area to tell them what I had so that I could pay. Because no one was wearing a mask.. the only person wearing a mask was the cashier.. I am sorry but it should be required to wear masks inside stores .. I recently came here to grab some food for my family and I decided to order a burrito. 12 hours later, I'm home sick from food poisoning. To top it off. I saw one of the lady's behind the counter at this taqueria dip her finger inside a stew. I presume to feel the temperature, later to serve it to a customer. I went in here on a whim. I wasn't pleasantly surprised. My hunt for authentic Mexican food in my backyard was over. I found my new go to spot for traditional Mexican street food. First of all, the asada tacos were great and the portions were good. Price was right. It was crowded with a lunch crowd which is a good sign. They have Tortas, Sopes, Tacos, etcetera. There's a Monterrey chain restaurant close by that is not so good. Having passed this place a couple of times, I thought it may be another branch of the chain, so stopped by for lunch to see if it was better. (didn't dawn on me that the sign said Monterrey Supermercado & Taqueria). Walked in to find myself in something a lot like the old drug store diners of the 50s and 60s, a lunch counter and a few booths on one side of the supermarket. The place was packed for lunch! When I first arrived (around 12:15pm), I think I was the only one in the place that didn't speak Spanish. A few more gringos came in just before I left. The waitresses were kind and waited on me promptly even though they were hopping like a frog in a frying pan. Ordered a shredded pork burrito (came with salad) and a chicken taco on the side. The food was very good! The burrito was huge! I'm a big eater and left there stuffed to the gills. The chicken taco was very good. I think I want to try the fish tacos next time. read more

compré varios (5) paquetes de tortillas y estaban en mal estado, fuimos al Día siguiente y teníamos el ticket por los 5 paquetes y se puso grosera la encargada diciendo que eso no podía suceder y que dejara mi ticket y los paquetes y que iba a darme una llamada cuando hablara con la compañía de tortillas, nunca me hablaron de regreso y yo llame para saber si Me reembolsaba mi dinero o me lo cambiaban por otro producto y dijo que no; que no le dieron el crédito. Es una persona despota y no sabe manejar un negocio. El costo de las tortillas no es mucho pero me molesta que por las razones que sea no den garantía eh un producto que ofrecen y esté en mal estado y aun con el ticket no den una solución a un cliente. No es la primera vez que algún producto como carne cocinada o cruda etc esté en mal estado. por las razones que vamos es porque no hay otra tienda cerca.
