This place is a bit underrated when it comes to their seafood. Been ordering from here for years, so this is a very late review. For starters the place is really small and it's only meant for take out orders. You can't really dine in here as seating is really limited. Interior is really basic and might turn some people off but basic isn't necessarily a bad thing when what comes out of the kitchen is far above basic. They are most known for their crawfish and it's not one those places that give you tiny ones, these are pretty big. The crawfish here is one of the best in the state. It's Cajun style which means it's spicy. They have other options too like fried fish and crab legs. You pay by the point for most of the options. Posted a few pics of how they price. For the most part I would consider this place a lot more affordable if you compare to other seafood places. For the quality you get it's a really good deal. Lawrenceville Seafood is one of my favorite places for crawfish and seafood. Vietnamese-owned. This place has been around for years. Located in a little strip mall off of Cruse Rd, this spot gets packed. Though there are a couple of tables and chairs for dine in, majority of the people that come through order to-go / pick-up. We ordered 5 lbs of crawfish, 3 lbs of snow crab legs, and a fried shrimp platter. Crawfish were huge. Snow crab legs were well seasoned. Fried shrimp platter was piping hot and delicious! Customer service is wonderful; the establishment is well-kept and clean. Restrooms located in the back. Pricing is listed on whiteboards in the shop. This place has really cheap seafood. Well, it's relatively cheaper compared to a few other places in the area. At first glance, yes, judge all you want since this is technically a fish market where you go and grab your fresh seafood, but there are two large tables with chairs provided for you to sit and enjoy your meal. Certain things are sold by the pound while others are by the pack or box. Yes, I did write "pack" and "box." lol. Well, that's what the signs read... Anyway, when I visited here with my friends, I choose the 1 lb of crawfish ($5.99 per lb). They were huge--see my pics! Since these guys were so large, I think 2 lbs would be a better option. The guys were pretty content with 2 lbs of crawfish and some sides... You can also create your own meal by ordering sides since you everything is purchased separately. Most of the sides are like $1 so it's not at all bad. Sides range from corn on the cob, fries, hush puppies, potato bites/chunks, etc. They also sell bottled and canned drinks along with they typical bottled water. Overall, this is not a great place for atmosphere so don't go here with your date. lol. Go here if you want fresh and cheap seafood! Every time I have ordered seafood from here, I've not been disappointed. I usually get snow crab and crawfish with corn and potatoes (drooling just thinking about it). The crawfish is one of the largest and freshest I've have ever had from a seafood place like this. There has never been a time where the crawfish was too small or tasted old. Their spicy Cajun flavoring is SO GOOD. It's definitely on the spicy side if you ask for it so watch out! The snow crab legs are drenched in this Cajun butter sauce. Everything is priced per pound. There are also so platter options available with sides. For shrimp, you have the option of boiled or fried. For fish, they only do it fried. You can also get it regular or spicy. Limited options, but it makes ordering pretty easy. I got 1/2 lb. of shrimp plus ~1 lb. of fish for roughly $16. Both the shrimp and fish that I ordered were good. Considering the price point, it was extremely reasonable. The only negative note is that the place can do a better job on cleaning. It's owned by a super nice Vietnamese family. Very clean. Doesn't smell awful (like some other Asian seafood markets.) The seasoning is Cajun style, similar to Crawfish Shack and The Boiling Crab. And it's SOOO good. If you want punch you in the face hot, this is the place to ask for it. You can also ask for a more mild seasoning. Whenever we have family parties and need 25+ pounds of crawfish, this is the place we'll call in and order it from. The corn and potatoes (ordered a la carte) are also awesome! They also have other offerings like blue crab, shrimp platters and fried fish. One thing that makes this place stand out is how affordable it is! Hot and spicy crawfish is $5.99/pound. Sooooooooo after trying "Boiling Crab" in California, it's tough to find a legit crawfish place that can replace that. However, this is as close to DELICIOUS as you can get. The crawfish here is LEGIT. It's spicy, flavorful, and got enough salt to make it a happy meal. The corn and potatoes are a nice touch. I'd rather fork out the $$$ for the potatoes though b/c I feel that it's more filling. Crawfish is reallllllly affordable. The place is not big on aesthetics at all. Just walking in To me it looks like decor and cleanliness was just not in the budget. I asked for half pound of shrimp. For some reason I thought they had some hot and ready for customers. But the owner had them in an ice bucket on the floor. He put a tray on a scale and shoveled the shrimp from the bucket with his hands on the tray and measured them. It was only after I left I realized he had not wore gloves. He did tel me that the shrimp were not from the gulf but South America. And believe me they tasted like it (not fresh). My order for broiled shrimp came out rather quickly (within 10 minutes) and when I looked at it it was doused in butter and shook over with some old bay seasoning. It was not well seasoned. The bottom of the shrimp weren't seasoned at all. I could tell he just threw some shit together on top of the food after it was cooked...and for the life of me I was trying to figure out why it was only just " warm" if it had just finish being boiled. Shouldn't it be hot? The shrimp was not very satisfying because it was doused with butter and not much else I couldn't enjoy it. In summary, this place should be a last resort if you are on a budget and have a taste for seafood. You will not get quality and they are not health conscious at all which made me wonder if the health inspectors come through regularly. They have boiled and fried platters for about $7 and all the seafood is available by the pound as well. Side of corn comes with 2 half-cobs, and side of potatoes comes with 4 pieces. I ordered my shrimp boiled, and it was very tasty, plump and fresh, cooked to perfection, had a good amount of heat. Was a tad bit garlicky as well. Probably not the best time of year to be buying shrimp as it was $10.99/lb for the medium size shrimp, as I'm sure prices will vary by season. That was my only qualm, as my total came to nearly $15. The shrimp prices are a little high, considering they are frozen and imported. They also charge you to cook and clean the shrimp. The crawfish is very small in size here, and they are not prepared fresh inside the restaurant. The owner gets already cooked and frozen crawfish, he boils it again to make it hot and serves it. This place has one of the best Cajun style crawfish in town. Price fluctuates between $4-$5/lb and we'll usually order 2lb per person. It's not a restaurant, so I don't know what the other reviewer was expecting. I can't say whether they make their own seasoning or not, but all I know is that it's delicious. They're open all year, so sometimes you'll get small ones, but during the season, oh boy they're huge. So huge that I'd even get meat from their claws. And the shrimp platter, well, I've reduced the sea-floor population just a tad. Skip any other fast food seafood place (not like there are any in the area anyways) and head straight here! This is a hole in the wall seafood market, not a restaurant, though there are 3 folding tables and 8 chairs if you want to sit down to eat in. Don't expect a waitress - this is not that kind of place. I have been here several times to just get hot spicy crawfish, which is printed on their front window. I don't know why or how they have fresh crawfish all year long, and I probably don't want to know, but their crawfish is prepared exactly the way I like it. They also have various fish and shrimp that you can either buy raw or have them cook it, and apparently they always have spicy boiled blue crab every day but I have not tried that yet. The crawfish is $5.99 per pound, and they are open 7 days a week. Don't miss this place if you love this sort of food! I drive 30 minutes to get here, and it is well worth the drive. read more

2 stars and I am really reaching. I have had two experiences with this place. First time, I bought 1lb of the extra large shrimp, added corn and potatoes. I also ordered a 1/2lb of the Fried Whiting. The Whiting was so delicious I devoured it before getting home! Unfortunately, my "prize" of the day is still sitting in the fridge after a couple of failed attempts to eat it. On getting home, I found out that the shrimp was not deveined nor cleaned in anyway! I was so disappointed and disgusted but I tried a couple and it was just nasty! The potatoes/corn were so salty and the corn was very soggy, like it has been soaking in broth for days! Attempt two was made when I took some to work and ended up throwing most of it in the trash. So, as I said the rest is sitting in the fridge now. I went back the second time for the Whiting and this time ordered 2lbs of that instead. He had to go get some from the freezer to add to the ones in the case. I should have told him to get all from the freezer because the first two pieces I bit into were ok but from then on they were spoilt pieces in between! I was like playing Russian roulette to figure out which was bad! I was so hurt! I got their boiled shrimp platter. I placed a call in order and they said it would be ready in 10 minutes. It was ready when I got there. It came with about half a pound of shrimp, a large quartered potato and two pieces of corn. Although it didn't look heavily seasoned,it had a great flavor to it. It was only 6.99 and is a great value for the quantity of food. The potatoes were my favorite and the garlic butter sauce soaks well into the potato, corn, and shrimp. The only cons were the shrimp is not easy peel and this place tends to not open on time. I trted to place a call in order at 11 when they were supposed to open and the guy said they weren't ready to call back in an hour. The service was good once they were actually open and they would have gotten five stars if they were punctual. The call-in process was easy and my order was correct and delicious.
