I currently have my daughter enrolled here. She loves it some days she doesn't want to leave . She started when she was a year old and it was so hard for me to leave her with strangers but I was comfortable in knowing my son had liked it here when he was here. My son started here when he was 3 and he still remembers it. It is definitely expensive in my opinion but I feel like you get what you pay for and I appreciate the care and kindness they show towards the children and parents. I'm sure it's not easy but they do a great job. I've only run into 1 staff member I was not too fond of but thankfully she was in charge of the older children and by then my daughter will start in regular school. The director here is very sweet and flexible. The hours are convenient and they are open during the summer. They always try to incorporate birthdays and holiday activities with the kiddos. I appreciate all their work. 100% recommend this place.

I truly enjoyed having my LO enrolled at this school. I feel that their care and teaching style was able to help my LO excel in things like walking at 9 months, learning basic signs; like more and all done, and many other basic life skills, even the Spanish word for water. The staff were very nice and I could tell they cared about every individual child. No one was left unattended. Temperature checks were taken most mornings for check in and we were provided an activities sheet at the end of day at pick up. During Covid the staff all wore masks and limited walking your child to the classroom to minimize any risk to the LOs. This school was very affordable and accepted multiple ways of payments. If I could change one thing about this school, it would be more teacher/parent interaction. I say this because when my LO had an accident, I wouldn't be notified until pick up. I would have preferred to be notified immediately after my LO was cared for so that I could make the decision of picking them up early or not. Overall this school took amazing care of my LO and the only reason we ended our time there was because of distance, since we moved. Thank you so much Ms. Dayani and staff!!!

I was very hesitant leaving him anywhere, especially a random daycare. I went based off reviews when it came down to choosing the right location, my son was barely talking and like any mom I was terrified. I trusted my 2 year old baby at this location, he is now 5 & off to kindergarten.. all the staff here is friendly, my son loves them all. He talks about them constantly at home, and tells me he loves them. I'm so sad to remove my son from this school to take him to a brand new school where we don't know the staff or children attending, I wish I could leave him here another year if I'm being completely honest, it's giving me anxiety to think I'm going through a new location all over again the same way i did when I first started bringing him to Shining star. My son learned SO much at this location, he's off to kindergarten and can read so many words, he sounds words out and can read and write small words. So impressive!!! He's only 5, and will start kindergarten knowing how to sound out every letter in the alphabet, he's great with math and now can spell short syllable words. I love this place and I'm so thankful to be able to have such a great daycare where my son and I felt comfortable ! I'm going to miss the staff, & hope nothing but the best for this location!

I was first introduced…read moreto Shine at the height of the pandemic and Shine followed all protocols to keep our children safe, secure, and well prepared for any scenario that we faced. On top of that, I really appreciate the consistent communication throughout the day on our Brightwheel app. I am always updated on what is happening throughout the school day and I can easily get in contact with my children's teacher. The teachers are well prepared for their monthly/weekly/daily lesson plans. At the top of the month, parents get a preview of the curriculum our children will learn. This allows us to reinforce concepts at home and partner with the teachers and closely monitor our child's progress. Additionally, Shine offers fun extracurricular opportunities such as soccer, karate, chapel and STEM activities. Lastly, it is worth mentioning that I appreciate the level of security of classrooms/building. As a teacher that has taught TK-12th grade in public schools for 10+ years, I can definitely say that I loved sending my children to Shine Preschool and would recommend anyone who is interested in a Christ centered, loving, and intentional environment for their preschool aged child.

I had chalked it up to his personality/mood, but when we toured Shine, he gravitated towards it right away, started playing with the toys (despite having similar toys at the other center) and when asked if he liked the school, he immediately said yes. Miss Karlie answered all my questions during the tour and I felt that it would be a good fit, and I was right. My son didn't even cry on the first day, I expected he would, but he didn't. He loves going to Shine and has been going for 3 months now. He has learned a lot of new songs, and frequently has art to bring home. The place feels secure with locked security doors as well as with the use of the Brightwheel app which is so helpful to communicate with the staff. They respond quickly and it is so convenient - you can even message them on the app to let them know your child will be late or absent that day. They also provide updates throughout the day, including photos - see pics for what the app looks like. Note that in this school, lunch is NOT provided, but I have been able to make easy lunches that my son finishes most of the time. My son loves going to Shine Preschool and always talks about Ms Karlie and Ms Genesis and about going to the playground with friends! Thank you, Shine, for providing a clean, safe, secure and wonderful learning environment for our children!

This daycare was really good at the start. The previous director sold me with promises of my child…read morelearning and attentiveness from teachers. She also sold me on the fact that there were days that my husband and I didn't have to pay for. We were sorely mistaken. It started when they went almost 3 weeks without pulling a payment from us, because of this my husband kept asking for them to charge us. When they finally did, they pull over $600 from WITHOUT telling us. We had to bring it up to them and then they told us Then we started becoming behind on our payments because they pulled such a big chunk that it put a dent in our finances. We then learned that they would just kept charging our card until they got some sort of payment. No where was that clarified or communicated to us, so we would see charges on our card for $2.99 to $97.00. So we all together stopped keeping money in that account because we were being unnecessarily charged without our permission too. Second, we started having problems with the teachers. Ms. Gabby is a gem and all the kids were lucky to be with her and she made our first daycare experience amazing. She unfortunately went on leave and that's when things started going south. My daughter who is potty trained was coming home with accidents almost every time she would go to daycare. But these weren't just any accidents, her pants would come home SOAKED. It seemed like the teachers let her pee her pants 2-3 times over before changing her. It was only after I brought it the directors attention that it started getting better. But this was only the start of the neglect. On top of the bathroom issues, they were giving my child screen time without my permission or the permission of other parents (or so I assume). I walked in one day after nap time to find all of the kids huddled around a teachers iPhone watching YouTube. My husband and I have made it a point not to do a lot of screen time with our daughter. We didn't think that putting her in daycare where she is supposed to be learning would entail mindless screen time on teachers iPhone. I informed the director and she said she was unaware of this. It's also very apparent from the times I've spoken to her that she really does not care about the younger kids but is more worried about the older kids. She would tell me that she would keep an eye on the younger kids but it never happened. Because of this my child and most likely other children too have been neglected in their care. Not to mention, they sent my daughter home dehydrated on Friday when it was almost 100 degrees that day with the water I had sent in her water bottle still there. When we got home my daughter was chugging water, was not eating, and couldn't sleep that night. Which as a parent is incredibly concerning because if they're not giving my child water, who else aren't they giving water to? Of course, no one could tell me if they had refilled her water bottle or anything like that. So now as a parent I was ready to withdraw her. I called Monday to withdraw her and the director did everything in her power to keep us from leaving. She kept trying to get us to put her in a different class which I kept saying no but she kept telling me to "ask my husband", but no means no. I said no and they should have respected that and let us go. My husband then went up to the school but they were too busy to give him the time of day about the withdraw we were trying to do because we also didn't want to be charged for the week since my daughter was not going back that same week. The only way I was able to get anything from them about withdrawing my child was after spam calling them. Then I was told that there was no paperwork and we were off the hook, which took us all of 3 minutes to talk about. Not sure why they couldn't tell my husband the same thing. Overall, I would not recommend sending your child here at all. We have reported them to the state of California for an inspection and I also found that there have been multiple investigations since March of this year (2026). Please do not send your child here. The pricing is great but you get exactly what you pay for.

Our youngest started in the Toddler classroom with Ms. Karla, while our oldest has been in the Preschool classroom with Ms. Salzman. Watching both of them grow, develop confidence, and genuinely enjoy going to school has been incredibly rewarding and affirms our decision. As a school, Arborland is exceptionally well organized. The campus is clean, secure, and well maintained, and the staff consistently demonstrate professionalism, kindness, and a genuine commitment to the children. Our kids also participate in the extended childcare program, which has been a wonderful experience. They genuinely enjoy that time with their friends and teachers, so much so that there are days when they do not want to leave. One of the main reasons we chose Arborland was because we wanted a more structured Montessori toddler program than what we found at many other nearby schools serving children 18 months and older. Ms. Karla created exactly the environment we were hoping for. She is warm, patient, and incredibly caring, while also setting clear expectations and consistent boundaries that the children understand and respect. We truly appreciated the balance she brings to her classroom. Another aspect we especially valued was that Ms. Karla and her assistant teachers spoke Spanish with our daughter throughout the day. As parents raising bilingual children, having that support reinforced what we practice at home and has been a meaningful part of her early education. The Montessori approach has been an excellent fit for our independent, curious, and strong-willed daughter. She has now transitioned into the Preschool program, and we can already see how well prepared she is thanks to the strong foundation built in the Toddler classroom. We are incredibly grateful to Ms. Karla and her assistant teachers for giving our daughter such a positive start to her educational journey. We also appreciate Ms. Salzman and the entire Arborland team for creating an environment where both of our children continue to learn, grow, and thrive. We wholeheartedly recommend Arborland to families looking for a nurturing, structured, and high-quality Montessori education.

My oldest is now in the Primary class with Maestra Michelle and Maestra Aurora, and my second is finishing the toddler class with Ms Karla and her assistants, Ms Melissa, Ms Ally, and Ms Marissa. The most comforting part for me is to know that my kids are in great care with their teachers. I randomly received personal messages from Ms Karla and Maestra Michelle about my kids' day, their accomplishments, or just something silly they did, with a picture! I cannot express how lucky we are to have teachers that genuinely love the kids so much. It has been such joy to see our kids thrive academically, socially, emotionally, and in every way! I remember when they first started school, they were little people that barely knew how to talk. Day after day, month after month, they started to put words together, making sentences, then started to tell stories about their day at school. One day they surprised me with putting away their own toy! Then another surprise, putting on their own shoes! They learned independence, and courtesy, and so much more! We are so happy that our kids are at Arborland, thriving under lots of love and care. Thank you Arborland! Especially to the teachers and staffs!!
