The staff is professional, courteous, and helpful. But, today, I want to talk less about their regular services and more about the special way they helped the community by dispensing covid masks and tests. I arrived about 15 minutes ahead of time and the line of people wrapped all around the parking lot, down the street, and around the parallel street. I was unsure if they would have enough masks or tests for everyone in line. But, promptly at twelve the line began to move. It was quick and efficient. We wound through the entrance door and table was set up handing out tests and masks. It took about 10 minutes to get through the long line and exit through the opposite door. The library employees were wonderful. I have never seen such a large operation move so smoothly. So, if you need a book, need help searching for information on a subject, or need Covid masks and tests, Potomac Library is there for you! Thanks President Biden and Potomac Library.

Very new, clean, convenient, brightly lit, and massive library! It's gotten a complete overhaul,…read moreand hopefully this draws in patrons in droves. The architecture is really interesting, modern, and lovely, including lots of windows--which give the library tons of natural light and expansive view of the outside--and unique designs throughout. There's even a bridge outside connecting one area of the holding to the other. The library is also handicapped accessible and has a huge parking lot. There's a sign out front that says "no vaping"--must have been an issue enough times to necessitate a sign. I picked up a book that I placed on hold without much trouble and checked out with no lines. An ideal experience. The checkout staff was willingly helpful and friendly.

Rockville has five, at best. -Lots of couches in the kids area to read books to your little one. Cons: -The room used for music time for kids was bursting at the seams, with half the parents standing outside the room. Surely there must be a bigger room to use, right? I opt to go to a library in DC (Cleveland Park) that puts on story time almost daily, instead. -Montgomery County PL has some really uptight, annoying rules. I brought in a bag of books to return (only containing books), also was holding my baby, diaper bag, etc, and the librarian insisted I take the books out of the bag myself. Only having one arm I attempted to dump the bag out on the counter and of course nearly all of them fell on the floor, leaving me to scramble to pick them up while still holding the baby. Thanks. So much.

There's always study rooms available and space in the quiet study room to go to. Parking is so convenient here compared to other Montgomery County libraries. I've noticed over the last few months, there's been more parked vehicles in the lot so I'm happy to see people returning to the library during their spare time. Would happily return once COVID-19 settles down.

This library is small, but mighty. Before county libraries closed until late-April due to covid-19,…read moremy family and I were able to sneak in one last visit to get some books to stay entertained throughout this time. I'm surprised I haven't written a review for this place since I've spent tons of times here sitting in the aisles, thumbing through books, deciding which were worthy to be part of my pile. Early high school me and me now have very different tastes in books, thank goodness. My favorite part of the library is the new non-fiction books section. I don't really know how the library system works, but I'm always so proud that this branch carries new, relevant books all the time. I feel like they keep us readers in mind when selecting. Buzzy books like Girl, Wash Your Face were there when I've looked for them. They have a few computer self check-outs here, so quick and convenient. Parking can get a little tight, but always so happy to see people in the library!
